A list of puns related to "One (Harry Nilsson song)"
i can't find it anywhere and considering the song's age is it lost because it is not anywhere online if anyone could come forward with information it would be helpful (by the way the link is for the song as it is if your wondering great tune but sad by the loss of the demo version) https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=spaceman+harry&view=detail&mid=EC2550E74871DE2EDC29EC2550E74871DE2EDC29&FORM=VIRE by the way a lot of his other songs have demos readily available online including his two classic hits Coconut and Without You (though you may know it from Badfinger or Mariah Carey) and considering it has been almost 30 years since his death and no living descendants (his son died earlier this year) its unlikely to be released
Here are the lyrics.
You can climb a mountain, you can swim the sea You can jump into the fire but you'll never be free You can shake me up or I can break you down Oh, oh We can make each other happy Oh, we can make each other happy We can make each other happy Oh, we can make each other happy You can climb a mountain, you can swim the sea You can jump into the fire but you'll never be free, no no You can shake me up or I can break you down Oh, oh We can make each other happy Oh, we can make each other happy Oh, we can make each other happy We can make each other happy, oh
lmao its number 2 on my spotify wrapped list.
edit: alarm song*
I recently heard this song and it instantly triggered this strange memory of a character (Maybe a cartoon or a puppet) trying to sing(or maybe play on a radio?) the song and getting cut off somewhere around the second verse.
The only other hint that I have is that I remember it being rather old-looking grainy footage, so probably from my childhood in the 90s.
I've been trying to figure out where this came from, and its been driving me crazy! Any help is much appreciated!
Here is a youtube link to the song in question.
So, I was watching this Harry Nilsson documentary on Amazon, Who Is Harry Nilsson (And Why Is Everybody Talkin Bout Him) and an unfamiliar song played when they started talking about the Beatles. I Googled what I heard of the lyrics. I used my phone's song finder app. And I didn't seem to get any good results. The Beatles related song plays about 12 minutes into the movie. (Here's a link to the film, available to view for free if you have Amazon Prime, not trying to stealth advertise for Amazon, just figured it would be the easiest way to help someone help me)
Lyrics go something like this: here comes a plane with the beatles on it
(couldn't tell for the next line)
look theres john paul george and ringo
one of ems taken but three are single
two bits four bits six bits a dollar
all four beatles stand up and holler
It just sounded kind of interesting. I'd like to find it, especially if it's a Harry Nilsson related song and not just some random song about the Beatles. Thanks in advance for the help!
This is my favourite song ever, I'm not really a big music guy but if I hear a song I like I will listen to it religiously (happened with Everybody Talkin', One, Sympathy for the Devil etc). I've listned to a few other Nilsson songs, but nothing (other than "One") really feels the same. I don't even know what genre this would be classified as, it's not exactly soft rock which I've seen it classified as, and even then it's it's own unique style so the genre seems irrelevant. I was just wondering if anybody has heard songs similar to this one, because I'm starved right now.
Don't know any words but the melody is similar to that first verse. Probably from the 70's or 80's? Kinda sounds like Jackson Browne or the Eagles
