Basically, title. Octoprint works fine but is somewhat bloated. I know where everything is in Octoprint but it does get mildly annoying with all the different tabs. Is there any good reason for me to switch to Fluidd or Mainsail? I can't imagine it would be anything that makes my prints any better but would it make my life any easier in another way? Also, which would you pick to use between Fluidd and Mainsail? Thanks!

First of all, I'm sincerely sorry that the previous version failed to fix the problem. After running some further tests based on the feedback from the community, we managed to work out a beta version that helps minimize the blobs issue. We tested this version on a Julia vase model, below are the final results. We also received some positive feedback from two users and would love to get some more feedback before the official launch. If any of you want to try this version, kindly let me know. I'll send it over.

I have a 64GB SSD laying around. I just flashed the lastest octoprint on the SSD with an USB to sata adapter.
Plugged it into the pi4 USB3 and voila, it ran. No SD card needed. And much much much faster...
I should have run it with SSD much much much earlier.

Did someone manage to use octoprint with the mk3s and mmu2s installed on ?
I succesfully connect my printer to octoprint using my raspberry pi 3 but, when I send a file to print to the printer, it's heating and then nothing happens, octoprint do not ask me to choose a filament and the print never starts.
I configured my printer profile, choose 5 extruders and tick the shared nozzle button. I sliced my file with Prusa Slic3r and choose an MMU2S single profile that is working by loading the files on my SD card.
Did I miss something ? Or am I doing something wrong ?

If I have Octoprint all hard wired up to my home network through a Raspberry Pi and can see Octoprint with any of my devices why do I need OctoEverywhere ?

I have been using Octoprint for a while and it is so good. I recently installed a plugin to send the prints directly from Cura to Octoprint. I have access to the history of GCodes that I sent but if I want to change something in the configuration (sometimes I want to print more than 1 piece) I have to find the STL, which most times I deleted.
Is there a plugin that saves the STL with the GCode or some other solution? Maybe allow me to change parameters from the GCode
I'm desperately wanting to setup Octoprint on my Ender 3. But I can't find a damn Raspberry Pi 3, 3B, 3B+, 4, 4B, or 4B+ anywhere! Except as a Pi 400. Could I use that form factor/setup with Octoprint?
I bought it from the locally-owned electronics store and have it sitting here. What do you recommend?
I also saw a post about using an old Android phone in place of the Pi. Is that feasible?

So I ordered a prusa mk3s+ and I am super excited to get it. One thing I have also seen people do to their printers is set up a raspberry pi to run an octopi with a camera. I was wondering If I ever was to get a raspberry pi should I use the raspberry pi zero W or the normal raspberry pi. Thanks.
So I am looking to set my CR-6 up with octoprint, and I remember hearing all these horror stories about the USB frying the motherboard and the connected device. My printer was a Kickstarter model, however I did have to get a replacement mobo because mine had issue leveling. What do I need to do to make sure it is safe to plug something in?
Has anyone made a single web-page that can manage multiple servers? I envision running a web server on one of my Pis that asks for the IP addresses of my other OctoPrint instances, then has a swapping interface that always displays all of the statuses to the side.

I am using Octoprint and using the Spool Manager plugin. When I enter the weight and length of PLA then choose the filament and run a print. The Octoprint panel that shows usage is calculating in the hundreds of thousands of grams, but I use 1 kilo spools. 1000g (filament) + @ 250g (spool) = 1250g, for the length @ 335M (335000mm). Now whenever I go to print I get something like this:
Tool 0: 10.47m / 312162.00g (20000.00g)
I have no idea why it is calculating hundreds of thousands. Is there a place in the settings that needs to be updated or is it the spool manager? Not sure but it's annoying having to change the spool constantly.
I wanted to get a raspberry pi 4 to run octoprint but they are pretty much impossible to find right now and I dont want to pay 100 bucks for a kit that comes with a bunch of stuff I dont need. Anyone here running octoprint with docker or in some other way? Was thinking I could run it from my windows PC in docker but dont really want to go through all the trouble to set it up if I am going to be better off just waiting for a raspberry pi. What do you all think?
I'm running a Voron 2.4 with superslic3r, octoprint and klipper and wondering what is the best way to insert a pause at a given layer height in my print? The goal is to insert some M3 nuts that I want to be trapped in the print. They will be inserted deep enough that I'm not worried about a nozzle collision after resuming.

Does anyone know if there is an octoprint plugin or something that can be used to automatically pause it at a given layer height? I really don't want to have to watch it and try to pause at exactly the right moment, but I will be in the room and can notice when it auto pauses. My google searching shows that this might be a feature in cura but I am deeply invested with my tuned settings in superslic3r and switching to cura is not an option for me. Thanks for any help!
In octoprint everything is celcius but somehow it is changed to F by the time it gets to home assistant.
Hear me out. I'm new to 3D printing, but I dug in deep. Short story, half long - I spent ~14 hours this past weekend configuring klipper on my CR-6 SE. Before that I ran the CE software for what felt like 10 whole minutes. And before that, the stock stuff for like 2 weeks? All of this was on my pi 3b+ with octoprint and the collection of plugins. When I made the switch to klipper, I ditched OctoPrint for moonraker. Reddit made me feel this was NECESSARY! I run Fluidd and Mainsail on 2 different ports. I like things from each, and I hear Fluidd is being discontinued, so I want to get comfortable with Mainsail. But, I MISS some things from OctoPrint. TSD, Spool Manager and OctoLapse to name a few.
This leads me to why I'm here. Has anyone run OctoPrint alongside moonraker and the frontends? If so, how was it? I'm prepared to setup a second pi and use a splitter cable, if possible to connect them both. But, I'd prefer to just use the one pi.
Maybe they can't even run together? I dunno. Let me know your experience. Thanks!
TL;DR - Can I run klipper, moonraker, fluidd, mainsail and octoprint together on 1 pi 3b+?

Cadriel โ 10/20/2021 Hi@everyone. As is probably apparent by now, you've noticed my absence. I've decided to stop contributing to Fluidd for the moment due to general animosity and troubles associated with the Mainsail project.
This has been an incredibly hard decision - and I know i'm letting a lot of people down, but at the end of the day - I need to focus on my own well being - having to deal with the above makes that hard.

... keep reading on reddit โกI've been using a Logitech C615 to monitor the Ender, its been a bit difficult to find a good easy to print mount that works for the Ender 3 V2, the C615 also doesn't have a large FOV.
I also had a Wyze cam sitting in a drawer, the Wyze team actually released firmware that will just turn the camera into a dumb webcam.
With the firmware installed I used this mount, you will need to adjust the focus manually. I used this guide, just break the glue seal and focus the lens and put everything back, no need to print the focus ring or remove lens etc.
The USB A-A cable I bought a while ago for $2 from the dollar store :), but you can splice one together if you want to. You do not need to power it from the Micro USB port, only use the USB A-A cable.
I found some old posts saying it doesn't, but they are a few years old. Just wanted to confirm before I start trying to roll my own solution for a heated enclosure for my Elegoo Saturn.
