Tohono O'Odham

Hi, this is my first post here.

Question: I recently found out, with a DNA test that my father is 44 % Indigenous American (Durango) and the test named our tribe Tepehuanes. We already knew we came from Tepehuanes but my father always thought it was way back and not 44 % because that pretty much means my grandmother was fully Indigenous, which my father always told me she wasn't. Anyway, on to my question. Reading about our tribe, the Tepehuanes, I learned that our real name is Odami (Tepehuanes is what the Aztecs called them). Now, given that the language is called O'otham I could not help to wonder if there is any relation between the Odami and the O'Odham? And what exactly is that relation? I mean, geographically, they are relatively close but we are still talking quite a distance between northern Durango where my father is from and Sonora which is where the Tohono O'Odham live. Is there anyone here from either Tohono O'Odham or Tepehuanes (Odami)? Or anyone else who knows?

Appreciate it, thanks
