A list of puns related to "Nylon rope trick"
I'm thinking along the lines of "basket" type rigging for carrying unusual loads, and you could add on metal hooks which you would crochet/tie around.
Or are such things accomplished with normal straps anyway?
So the rope trick spell says an entrance opens into an extra dimensional space and I'm in doubt about how it should look/be. Has a player any sort of say in how this space looks? Is it a totally random demi plane? Is it a black void? The spell doesn't give any specifications about this. What are your thoughts on this?
Tldr: how do you think the E.D space of the spell rope trick looks?
tl;dr -- replacement starter rope&handle for my chainsaw (for my model#!) came and, upon install attempt, I find the string will NOT fit the hole to pass-through & be knotted! Like, it just will not go (I can splice ropes very well, I am not ignorant here :P ), and I don't want to drill/grind the assembly to 'make it fit' especially when the one already in there seems to be almost-as-wide (maybe as-wide) as the new one!!)
I got one of those faux Elasto-start handle+rope setups since I'm not running decomp valves in a couple units, anyway now that I'm going to put one of them into the recoil-starter assembly, I find that the damn thing ***won't fit!!!!!!!***
I'm capable of (good) grinding/drilling/custom work to "enlarge the port" for that string to pass-through (before knotting that end & being done!) but this starter is KNOWN for issues, and I've built this unit to higher compression (and larger displacement) so I suspect that the 'best' widening of the rope-path would still be a 'fault/stress point' and see quick failure of the recoil/starter unit :/
The weird thing is that this new rope (4.2mm) seems identical to the one that's currently in the unit!!! So it "should" fit!! The current rope is certainly no more than 10% thinner (if even that, I'd say "they are the same" but I'm accounting for the OEM having had some stretch as it's used)
Thanks a ton, want this starter rope 'threaded' ASAP it's last thing before reassembling this unit :P
Rope trick is a 2nd lvl spell that many use in combat more than just a utility spell.
People would cast rope trick, use their movement to go up, retrieve the rope and stay behind the invisible window going out attacking and back in as if their character was popping their head to throw a fireball/arrow.
The problem with this tactic is that it has a lot of counters:
Enemies readying actions to attack you as soon as you pop your head out
Enemy spellcasters casting a wall of force/fire or some of the like in the entrance so to encase you inside without being able to exit without taking damage.
Fog Cloud/Darkness, and btw, number 2 and 3 are possible bc after you pop your head enemies know your location.
Waiting for the spell to end after locking your vision preparing traps on the ground below you, calling reinforcements or simply retreating.

The solution i've found to this came to me when i was playing an artificer armorer 5 echo knight 3, i would cast Rope Trick and use my movement to go up, next turn i would simply use my BA to make an echo, WITHOUT POPPING MY HEAD OUT since i dont have to, making the echo appear 15ft afar from the entrance of Rope Trick, and directing him to attack using my action, giving disadvantage from a safe position using the Thunder Gauntlets.
This solves the first problem by simply not getting out of the window, the second problem because most spells dont target magical objects that the echo is so the echo is immune to them, and you can simply make an echo outside of a cube of force if needed, Fog cloud and Darkness would be annoying although they dont really know where you are since they most likely dont know you cant move nor that you are still there since all they see after you go up is the echo coming out from random spots on the sky so most likely not to cast it on you, and for the last one you have the tp to get out whenever you feel like it so that you can chace them down or retreat if needed.
Now, im still not sure if the echo dissapears bc im in an extradimensional space and thus the distance between me and the echo is infinite, or if it stays as long as it is within 30ft of the entrance of the spell. My DM has been ruling it to not disappear making this even stronger since the echo can also take some hits for action economy.
When i have a BA available and dont have to remake an echo i would sometimes cast Sanctuary on an ally delieve
So, the spell Rope Trick has an interesting mechanic with regards to its portal to the extra-dimensional space. To quote the relevant parts of the spell description:
> ... an invisible entrance to an extra-dimensional space that lasts until the spell ends. The extra-dimensional space can be reached by climbing to the top of the rope.
My question then is, what happens when you see or interact with a creature that is half-way through said portal. Imagine Alice is Levitating in the air and Bob casts Rope Trick so the entrance is directly adjacent to her. Then he climbs the rope, but stops halfway in. My questions are:
Given the time I'm posting this, it's quite literally keeping me up at night thinking about it. What do you all think?
I have been exposed to pornography before my double digits. But its just exposure, you know. Like a discovered crazy shit that I do not know. Like an adventurer. Like a child. It was okay, sometimes I look at it and say meh. But its so intriguing like a treasure or something cus I keep coming back to this keyword. Porn, hentai, sex, nude, I knew it all. It also didn't about the fact that I'm very aware of certain things and is very asking of why things are happening around. Making me avoid doing things that are a waste of time like talking with classmates, or talking in general cause I knew these people are not gonna be around anymore. Social problem, no friends, damned addiction possibility, and Im screwed. And then it happened, I heard my classmates talking about it. And I tried it, first time, sucks. Weird but experimented with it more. You know what makes this act so powerful. I knew I shouldn't be doing it. Not telling anyone, like second nature. But I was never a talker, so snitching was not really a thing to me that much. So it shouldnt be a surprise. Like I never talked about porn I saw. I never talked about jerking off. Might be because they say 18 only and children tend to rebel and shit like that aint even work I thought fbi or cia gonna come to house bro. But it didnt. Im rambling arent I.
A long time I stopped. I used to do it everyday. Twice or maybe more. Stressful days and super long project months or maybe even game and happy days when i find good youtube channels or movies or fandoms then i forget. Like its not even an addiction. But of course I did it again multiple times on long periods of time and forgetting it like a red light green light. Its terrible. Scarcity of doing it made it more powerful and deadly.
Now I said good movies and shit like that right. Yeah. I have standards and that standard seeped through porn when these good content and entertainment passed its moments and i later forget about them and arent willing to see them again cause im trying to find some new content thats good. Guess what cant find any. Here we are. Porn. 1v1. It won. Why? Categories and preferences so good at tagging and so much content. whats not to love. this system of finding shit is so good. youtube is put to shame. which is the best content platform of all time mind you.
Judgement day. A long time has passed, my post-clarity self and the other guy I dont know are in a battle that happens when the other is gone. I make collections and delet
