Looking for information on African American women's hairstyles and fashion in the 1940s and 1950s

Lately I've been trying to find out more about Black women's hairstyles in the US in the late 1940s and early 1950s. I'm particularly interested in ordinary, everyday hairstyles or even evening out ones, but not the only-celebrities-wear-it ones. Which ones were popular in which years, etc. Also in what social/economic class, if it varies. My undestanding modern weave wasn't invented until the 1950s and the hot comb was common.

I just really wanted to know if there were particular styles that defined that era.

Also, were there any fashions (clothing, jewelry, makeup) more common to black women, similar to the Zoot suit in a certain era?

I always get depressed when looking at old photos of even small - mid-sized cities like Worcester or Des Moines and seeing how busy they seemed even at night. I'm guessing the pedestrian activity of a lot of places has increased since the 1990s. But still, considering demographic and work trends, combined with the fact that it is easier than ever to stay inside your entire life, I doubt the USA will ever return to a semblance of the vibrancy we once saw.

I hope I am wrong...

I still see people on social media who think non-Asian women aren't into AM. Here are some notable AMXF couples.

Many racists also like to push the idea that AM can only get with AF. In many subs or places, I see defeatist comments or some posts from AM saying 'the only women who are into us are AF, and even then a lot of them don't want anything to do with us'. One of the reasons they cite is that 'no popular or well-known girl or woman would ever even think of being with an AM, famous or otherwise'.

I'm going to share a little list of notable women, non-Asian women, who have or have had an AM partner.

For a lot of people the first AMXF couple that comes to mind is Maggie and Glenn which is a fictional couple lol. Some people also know about Megan Fox who had a crush on Korean singer Rain. We also know about Tyra Banks' kind words and support, shutting down that self-hating AF (I think you remember that incident). But those seem to be the few cases that people are kinda widely familiar with. Allow me to tell you about some others you might not have known about:

-Y'all know Mariah Carey, right? One of the best singers. She went out with Bryan Tanaka.

-You know Alessandra Ambrosio? This Brazilian woman is one of the biggest supermodels of all time, often cited by the popular media as one of the world's sexiest women. Her boyfriend is a man named Richard Lee. They're one sexy couple.

-You know Charli XCX. Popular English singer, part Gujarati descent. Her boyfriend, Huck Kwong, shot some of the pictures for her hit album How I'm Feeling Now.

-It was hilarious how salty racists got when they found out Twitch streamer Amouranth was with [an AM way manlier than most of them lmao](http://cdn.cavemancircus.com//wp-content/uploads/images/2020/apri

Who were some notable white Americans in boxing the last 20-30years?

Who I can think of Plant Tommy Morrison Pauli malinaggi (he’s Italian American. But still I needed people to add to this list. Btw he needs to be back on the mic)

Can someone help me with this list? No way is this post about race. But white American in boxing is rare these days. It’s not like it was 50/60/70/80 years ago.
