A list of puns related to "Norwegian royal family"
Poverty in Norway and Denmark is very low.
Hello Norway! Iβm an American who has been in love with Norway for a while now, and so Iβve been researching and learning more about the country (Iβm even trying to learn Norwegian since Iβd like to go there on my Senior Trip). While reading about Norway during WW2, I learned that King Haakon VII was a major uniting figure for Norwegians against the German Occupation and loved by the people of Norway during his life (He was a genuinely great guy in my opinion, and I normally donβt give a hoot about royalty). Do most modern Norwegians see their royal family like those during the occupation, are they seen similar to the British Royal Family, or is it completely different than other nations with constitutional monarchs?
From time to time, the royals of the Nordic countries would meet in person. While they were also neighbors, they were first and foremost family. So, the entire entourage was invited. King Harald, Queen Maud, his the crown prince couple as well as their children, the young princesses Ragnhild and Astrid as well as the newest addition to the royal household, prince Harald, born less than a year before. He was, in fact, the great-nephew of the Swedish King.
Indeed, it would be wonderful for everyone to get together again. To meet, eat, talk, dance, laugh, play. Truly, it was wonderful, it did not only bring together the royals, but also the people of their countries.
However, in his telephone call to Harald, the Swedish King did imply that he also wished to discuss other, more businesslike things. "The wellbeing of our peoples", as he so politely phrased it, yet it most definitely referred to recent developments in Norway, with the Social Democratic and Communist parties pressuring the Agrarian party into ratifying a change in the Norwegian constitution.
Officials with Norwegian Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean Cruises announced cancellations Wednesday as the pandemic-stricken cruise industry grapples with the arrival of the highly transmissible omicron variant.
It seems Cruises shutting down even without CDC ban...What will do MSC do I wonder which I am going to go on Jan 16.
"A Swede is the most conventional form of Scandinavian," says the joke, "and, if we're being honest, a Swede is also the only kind of Scandinavian that's actually funny."
"That's true," nods the antijoke, "a Norwegian or a Dane is essentially just a subverted Swede, and only a pervert or a blasphemer could see anything funny in th-".
"I hope I'm not interrupting," says the German, "but God is dead, and after 8 hours low-and-slow in the smoker Her meat should be just about falling off the bone."
"I hereby declare this bbq to be legal tender," says Anne Jessopp, Chief Executive of the Royal Mint - which is a pun, and therefore a perfectly conventional way to conclude a Swede.
