A list of puns related to "No Aircraft Noise"
When do we want them!
Nooooooooooowwwwwwwwww
Edit: (lol first post and of course this joke has been said before)
Hey everyone, just keen to hear people's experiences living in St Peters, Sydney. How is the aircraft noise? I'm looking at places near Sydney Park/close to Princes Highway.
Kids hate plain food.
Went to visit a customer's office which is directly under the flight path of army planes and choppers as they land nearby. The noise is easily > 80db when outdoors. Multiple flyovers in that hour. The place is surrounded by residential estates. How do you guys cope?
Now you can only use a low ha
Let me know
>What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
>What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
>When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
>What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (Tower/OS/monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc)
>Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
>If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
>Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
>Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
Found this old article talking about future noise disturbing houses around Ipswich https://www.qt.com.au/news/new-aircraft-super-loud/302262/
Anyone in Yamoto, Walloon, Leichardt (etc) areas care to comment on the reality?
Am thinking of moving to a cheaper area, but don't like the idea of too much noise!
If you're wondering, seems like Southwest Airlines fllight WN3146 LAX to SFO, overhead at ~12K feet:

People saying four B52 bombers. I was inside and didn't have a visual.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this recently, starting as early 8 some days and being pretty much constant most days. I live in the golden triangle area so it can't be the airport surely.
Don't want to sound like a whinger but I work late so it's disrupting my sleep and getting pretty annoying.
Did anyone else hear that very loud, strange noise in the sky around 8:30 this morning? I did not see it but heard it for around 5 minutes. If it was a airliner it must be in trouble. It seemed to pass over from the south to the north. Extremely loud like nothing I've heard before, a high pitched, pulsing whine.
First, by UFO (Unidentified flying object) I mean; spaceship (aliens).
Iβve seen many videos online where UFOs are seen flying around, but I never heard any sound of the unidentifiable object itself. Shouldnβt we hear them flying? because we hear airplanes and helicopters, missile rockets and so on. Is there any way some could invent aircraft that is also silent even when it breaks the speed of sound?
For those with sensitive hearing, jet aircraft nearby can trigger tinnitus symptoms, like perceiving ringing.
So, I moved into a new unit. The flatmate is a nice person and there is chemistry. But the house is old and not well insulated against extreme temperatures or noises.
We live 25 miles away from an international airport and the flight ban lasts only from 23:00 to 05:00, meaning I can only get 6 uninterrupted hours of sleep a day.
I have tried earplugs together with 3M Peltor Optime III Earmuffs and I still hear airplanes roaring over us from 05:00 onward. I have also tried headphones to play classical music together with the 3M Earmuffs and I still hear the roar.
I have also slept in the hallway (hoping that my room would act as an obstacle and dampen the noise), but it didn't work much.
It may well be the case I have to move again. I cannot function properly if I only get 6 hours of sleep a day on a regular basis.
Until I move, what else could I try? I have already talked to my flatmate about this and we agreed to punctually go at 22:30 to sleep, to get the most possible hours of sleep.
How do you do this with civilian jets? There are loud and quiet ones as far as I'm concerned. No other way of Identification.
Hi folks, So smart me got fooled by real estate agents (and my own research!!) and accidentally bought a place under the second busiest flight path in Sydney. Thankfully when the wind is south 50% of the time they don't fly over me. But the other 50% it's unbearably frequent! I can also hear the busses in the neighbouring busy street Monday - Friday and helicopters going to the hospital at 3am probably once a month. I don't actually live on the busy st, but the houses behind me aren't high enough to block the noise.
Anyway so I am forking out the cash and having my bedroom sliding doors double glazed so I'm not woken up at 6am. My current glass is 4mm and the double glazing will be 21mm, plus proper sealing and a foam frame being packed in. I will also save up and eventually do my downstairs sliding doors when I can afford it (maybe end of next year).
My question is, do you guys actually think it will make a difference? I am also having my bedroom measured for sound blocking curtains and getting a sound blocking bedroom door. A tradesman inspected my Place and seems to think it's well-built, but I highly doubt its double brick.
Thanks, redditors!
Anyone that lives near/next to the Craig Airport, how bad is the noise?
Looking at some houses in adjacent neighborhoods, a bit concerned that aircraft noise might be an issue.
