It's actually rlly nice because after several purchases u may have like 12 bucks in points which u can use on a sale and usually there's like some rlly nice indie games on sale. Right now I got almost 13 bucks in points and wolfenstein 2 is on sale for 12. Which is like great because I practically get that game for free. I hope in the next device Nintendo releases they'll keep this points system implemented cause its really nice.

TL;DR Bought a port of a game with an issue I can't ignore, couldn't refund it, so I'm trying to warn others.

Although so far I had been pleased with the few games I've bought for the Switch, I recently got one that I regret getting. It was on sale, South Park the Fractured but Whole.

The version I saw being played was the PS4 version, I honestly didn't expect the Switch port to be bad. And it mostly isn't, I had it freeze and crash, but neither problem is exclusive to the Switch version.

However, my problem is with the audio quality. Damn, it's bad. Voice acting sounds alright, but every single background track, battle theme and almost every single SFX is compressed so badly. It sounds terrible, and at first I didn't care enough, I could play it and it worked fine. But now, the bad audio is all I notice. I remember seeing they had ruined the audio quality for Dark Souls Remastered, and deciding I didn't need to waste my money on that.

I could've looked at a video review and you can 100% blame me if you want. I could've looked it up and read if there were any problems with this version. But I just didn't expect it to be this bad. It's 20GB, I expected it to be this big because of the quality. It seems not, and I'm disappointed.

I already answered to as many replies as I could. I live in Mexico and Nintendo got rid of their Latin American division. Support has been non-existant since.

Secondly, me and my brother were disappointed but since not only I got it on sale but it's a fairly short game, we decided there wasn't much we could do. He's already finished it. I think a refund is out of the question, but that's why I made this post initially. If they had a simple system like Steam's, I would've been able to get my money back and maybe buy a game that had a demo and worked way better, or another indie game I wanted to try.

Regardless, thanks for the replies and for sharing some of your stories. I think this may be the last game I spend money on, I had some extra laying around and since this game was discounted I said "what the hell, I can afford it". But I don't think I can afford another mistake this year, lol.
