So.. I know someone who works within MPI. As of a few days ago, no one - including visitors, can enter mpi facilities/offices unless double vaxxed.
Several people including the person I know have faced immense pressure, uncertainty and general stress regarding this vaccination mandate.
Thing is, there was a clear breach of 'good faith' in the consultation period and even work from home jobs within mpi are falling under the scope of this mandate under the premise that at some point you may need to have a physical meeting. Absolute bonkers stuff.
What makes me really scratch my head is that plenty of businesses working exactly the same kind of environment(office) are simply offering antigen testing instead of being vaccinated. Yet this govt agency(and others) are creating blanket mandates that aren't considering each role, as is required by worksafe.
So far worksafe has not responded. Seems they only want to enforce vaccinations, not companies enforcing vaccine mandates beyond the legal scope they are afforded by worksafe.
