A list of puns related to "Nathan Riggs"
Anyone else really did not like Riggs at the beginning of his Grey's presence but then ended up loving him and being mad when he moved? Also, anyone else think him and Meredith were actually pretty good for each other (avoiding all the Maggie stuff in the middle)?
Was anyone else a huge fan of Riggs? He was just so refreshing and brought something really great to the show for a lot of characters- April, Mer, Owen, etc! I loved the episodes that showed the backstory with the Hunt siblings, Teddy and Riggs in the army- it was really interesting to see the dynamic with Owen and his sister, who is also amazing! I also loved to see how Nathan and Mer connected over their similar grief and how he helped her move forward. They really had a beautiful bond over what they went through. While I agree that Meganβs return was unrealistic and the storyline couldβve been done better, I was so happy that somehow, even after all that time, she was alive and happy despite what she went through. I love how Megan and Nathanβs relationship showed the importance of not judging and the value of forgiveness. Iβm grateful that theyβre happy together with Farouk, who I thought was adorable! I loved to see Nathan, reluctant at first, step into that fatherly role. The scene where Riggs and Megan, along with their son, play together on the beach- absolutely beautiful.
What are your thoughts on Riggs? As a surgeon, as a friend, etc! What were some of his best moments? :))
I didn't even realize that was him at first! I just thought for a second, "Hey. Isn't that Nathan Riggs from GA??" and when I googled, it really was him!!

This was a great episode, one of the best of the season besides Jacksonβs centric and the fire! It was really suspenseful and a great callback to the plane crash and how it changed Mer and the hospital as they knew it. I liked to see Merβs calmness when she pulled it together to save the passenger, and I liked how Nathan tried to support her despite not knowing her past with the plane crash. One of my favorite moments is when Riggs asked about her other sister (heβs only ever heard of Maggie) and Mer says βmy kid sister, Lexie. I loved herβ Iβm not a Lexie fan but that moment definitely hits hard. Just the emotion and pain in Merβs eyes was really well-acted during that conversation.
I think the episode altogether was well-written and acted and I think it really showed what a great character Nathan Riggs is! Iβm hoping he might come back at some point to help muddle through some of the Teddy/Owen drama and be a voice of reason for them to move on. What are your thoughts on this? :)
his and merβs relationship was so good. they could really relate to one another and were in similar places in their lives with similar pasts. iβm happy for him that megan came back and they got their whole βhappily ever afterβ thing in san diego, but he was so good! even aside from his relationship with mer he was so funny and snarky, such a breath of fresh air. now weβre just stuck with fucking deluca...
This is a random fun fact but my mum dated the actor of Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) throughout her high school days! The one time we know of that heβs been back in NZ he actually answered her call on the radio but they got cut off. I was destined to be a greys anatomy fan!
After rewatching season 13 and comparing the chemistry of Grey & DeLuca in the latest season before season 16 premiers, I firmly believe that the bond & emotional understanding Riggs & Grey have is far beyond anything DeLuca had with Grey.
We all know DeLuca to be somewhat of a hero, after rescuing Jo from her drunkenness and in term jeopardising Karevβs career, then taking the blame for Grey in the recent season. But is that enough?
Understandably, Riggs is with Owen sister. She pulled what we all wanted for Lexie (back from the dead). And as they both agreed, this is an opportunity you donβt say no to but what if Megan never came back.
Where DeLuca feels like a boy toy, Riggs felt like something more special. Yes it could have been too soon after Derek but at least it wasnβt far-fetched or forced
Pregnancy gives me the weirdest dreams and last night I had a dream that I was Meredith and I was with my husband but pregnant with Nathan Riggs baby. And then Nathan suddenly showed up and I woke up.
Anyways, I wonder if this is my subconscious telling me I miss Nathan. Iβm not sure how unpopular or popular an opinion this was but I really liked him and Meredith together. Iβm glad heβs with Megan of course but I did like him with Mer. And I liked him at Grey Sloan in general.

Ever since Maggie was introduced, she appeared to be self-absorbent and annoying. It makes her overdramatic moments of happiness and sadness unemotional and ineffective to me as a viewer.
For example, she started her off her role by blurting out a story that Jo told her and getting Alex fired from his private practice job. She turned Richardβs shock to find out that sheβs his daughter into him not being honest with her. She made casual sex with Deluca unnecessarily complex and dramatic. She turned her crush on Nathan Riggs into this huge deal that made Meredith feel guilty. She calls Amelia her sister, even though sheβs simply unrelated. She was insufferable during her relationship with Jackson, failing to help him through his crisis of faith and turning it all about her. Then, she was ridiculously childish after their breakup. She renders every moment annoying, like when she wouldnβt stop talking through the phone or ringing her fiancΓ© when he was stopped by the police.
Her actions just make her unlikable as a character. I donβt know why they show her such importance.
(Iβve only reached season 17)
If you were a writer for the final season and had every character alive and dead free for you to use, what episodes would you write? I, for instance, would do a "cardio theme mini arc": It starts with a very sick patient that Maggie is treating, they desperately need a new heart but their blood type is rare, so even though they are first on the list, it's very unlikely to get a match. They do treatments to buy time and when they are about to lose any hope left, Teddy gets the news that Cristina found a way to print a whole functional heart. It's risky and never tested but it's the only hope they have left. Since the patient is too sick to travel, Teddy travels to Switzerland to bring the heart with Cristina. There is a heartfelt reunion and Teddy meets Preston Burke, the consulting surgeon briefly. They travel, they do the surgery, there are reunions, Cristina finally meets Maggie on a personal level while they argue over professional opinions. With complications, they manage to pull it off. It's a big event on the cardio world so there is a conference about it after with Cristina and Maggie, now kind of friends, as the main speakers. Erica Hahn, Nathan Riggs and Preston Burke attend. While this conference is happening, the patient presents complications at the same time that a huge trauma enters the hospital. Teddy, Maggie, and Cristina tend to the original patient while Burke, Hahn, Winston and Riggs handle the trauma patient, severely injured and a match to the original one. Owen finally meets Burke. Teddy and Cristina operate together again with Helm as their intern, Burke and Hahn have their final match down. Together, they manage to save the patient and finally agree that they are equally good. Hahn, after seeing Cristina guide Helm during a complication, admits that maybe she was wrong about her not having what it takes. Cristina brushes her off, says that it happened years ago and that thanks to that, she later on found a great teacher. Cristina and Owen talk too and Cristina says she is happy for him and Teddy. Burke announces that this was his final surgery and he is going to retire at last to spend more time with his wife and kids. The final scene is Cristina in her office at Switzerland, Teddy at home with Allison and Leo and Maggie having coffee with Winston all getting the same call: they are nominated to the Catherine Fox award.
Rewatching the series for like the 8th time lol but when Meredith tells Riggs that they found Megan and he immediately hugs her before realizing what this means for Meredith and their relationship and stops and says Iβm sorry. Meredithβs reply - βIf it was Derek, Iβd already be gone.β Gets me every time!!!
I really liked Nathanβs character and wish he would have been a permanent character on the show.
Am I the only one who things Maggie overreacted to Meredith and Riggs I feel like it was wrong to keep it a secret but I canβt imagine why sheβs still so upset if she no longer likes him

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Has anyone ever noticed how most of Meredith's love interests looked similar or had a similar personality to Derek? Whether it be the hair/facial features, or the chemistry between the two like Meredith and Derek had, the writers and the casting directors was really trying to find a replacement Derek. Think about it. Dr. Finn Dandridge, Dr. William Thorpe, Dr. Nathan Riggs, Dr. Andrew Deluca, and Dr. Nick Marsh.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!

Rewatching on Disney+ at the moment and I think he would have been a great long term addition to the show along with being a better match for Meredith than DeLuca
I remember hoping at the time that Megan and Farouk would turn out to be sleeper agents and that he'd end up coming back
Nothing, he was gladiator.

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
So everyone always mentions the big names - Cristina, Izzie, Alex, Addison, Arizona, Callie etc, when it comes to returns. And Iβm sure we might get a few when the show ends. But are there any characters youβd like to see again who are less discussed or were minor/recurring?
Iβd love to see Nathan & Megan again. I loved their happy ending, and with both Owen & Teddy still in the show, thereβs no reason why they couldnβt come back for a visit.
I also wonder what happened to Baileyβs ex husband, Tucker. Maybe would be nice to see a scene of him picking up his son Tuck for the weekend and we see his new life briefly. I know he was never a major character by any means but I do wonder what happened to him.
Iβm surprised we havenβt seen Molly Grey again (Meredithβs other half-sister, Lexieβs full sister), I know that they said her husband is in the army so maybe she doesnβt live in the US but it would be interesting to see her again. Surprised we didnβt see her after Lexieβs death, or even Thatcherβs.
Iβd love to see Nurse Tyler again too! He played such a good role in the early seasons, Iβm interested to know whether he still works at the hospital and more about him, does he have a wife/husband and kids etc? Would also be cool to see Patricia again, Richardβs admin assistant from when he was chief. I think we saw her not so long ago, at Merβs hearing? But maybe seeing her again and finding out what she does now would be nice.
This might be a hot take, but Iβd love to see Dr. Nick Marsh again. He was the transplant surgeon who was admitted as a patient one time, and he had A LOT of chemistry with Meredith imo. I would love to see them paired together! Although it feels kind of obvious that weβre gonna get a Mer/Hayes pairing.
When I got home, they were still there.
What did 0 say to 8 ?
" Nice Belt "
So What did 3 say to 8 ?
" Hey, you two stop making out "
I won't be doing that today!
