No spoilers - he's still alive in S15 ep 13 which is where I am.
I am a Kevin McKidd fan and before season 17, I hated Owen but I thought he added value to the show by stirring up drama. He was fun to hate. Now I think Owen is boring and annoying which makes sense after being on for 13 seasons. Kevin is so talented, I wish he would do something else! I get the sense he stays for the stability for his family and I understand that. For selfish reasons, I wish he would make a decision for the art.
HOW is owen still on this show? he’s like the most unanimously disliked character. it’s just weird that arizona and april left because their stories were at their end, but owen has been repeating the same cheating and children stories since his debut. they should’ve pulled a jackson and bring teddy back to give him a reason to leave again
Sorry, not sorry. If I’m watching Greys and Kevin McKidd comes on the screen with his mouth wide open one more time, I’m done😂. He over uses his eye muscles, his cheeks/mouth….it’s almost like he’s constantly surprised. Or constantly out of breath? I can’t tell. If you agree, please tell me😂🧍🏼♀️
I know there is a lot of hate for Owen as a character, and rightly so, but can we all just appreciate what a phenomenal actor Kevin McKidd is please? Playing all that nuance, anger, PTSD, all of it - love him!
We all pretty much hate Owen on this sub, but Kevin McKidd is truly a gem ( which is why we hate Owen probably, he plays Owen so accurately lol ).
Kevin really seems to know what we want ( check out his Grey's instagram take-over ) and episodes directed by him are excellent, both in terms of cinematography/music and screenplay!
A lot of people including myself want Owen off the show but I don't want Kevin to leave because he brings so much to the show! He's drama free and fun ( which is why I think he's lasted so much on the show , he's the 4th longest character now )
I vaguely remember seeing a picture of his kid a few days ago but it didn’t make much of an impression on me. Now he took it down saying people complained?
Is definitely one of, if not the best male actors on the show. I mostly find the male actors meh but man can Kevin emote. I cannot STAND Owen but McKidd is something else.
I love the fact that Kevin played a traumatised priest having a panic attack in the lingerie department. I have loved that episode for years and didn't know it was him!
Watching Season 6, the Christmas episode, and my GOODNESS his overacting makes every situation seem like a joke!! He has since he first rolled up to SG. I also forgot Teddy came around in Season 6, so we’ve had 10 years of this nonsense between them! They are not endgame!!

I am just noticing all the little details in the episodes that Kevin McKidd directs. I love his music choices and camera shots/angles! Anyone else a fan of his directing skills?
Kevin McKidd, better known as Lucius Vorenus from HBO's Rome, Soap McTavish from Modern Warfare 2 and 3, and Fenn Rau from Star Wars Rebels. I'm a fan of the man's work, especially as Lucius Vorenus.

I have loved Owen since the moment he showed up in his Army BDU’s. He has massive faults, but I can’t get behind the Owen hate. I really think if it was anyone else playing him besides Kevin Mckidd, I could. I absolutely love and adore Kevin, so in turn, I still love Owen.
He was such an irritating actor, never convincing - anyone else found him annoying?
