A list of puns related to "Napa Valley College"
Upon returning home his wife asked how he managed to get them back so quickly!
"Baby, I herd it through the grapevine".
Im a bridesmaid in my close cousinβs wedding and there has been so much buildup to her Napa Valley Bachelorette weekend in Napa Valley late March. We live in the Midwest so this is a pretty expensive weekend endeavor for meβ¦ and now, pregnant (FTM) - Iβm just not sure I want to swing it anymore but really feel obligated. My cousin and I have talked about the fact that Iβve been wanting to have a baby but that I was waiting until after her wedding (Or at least the Napa trip) to start trying. I feel like Iβll be letting her down to not go at this point - this pregnancy wasnβt necessarily planned, but here we are. I have my first Ultrasound at 8weeks on 31-Jan and need to RSVP by the next day, 01-Feb. I could spend all my savings to make it happen and be the sober person all weekend, A+ bridesmaid. Or, tell my cousins before my parents and anyone else why I canβt make it. What would you guys do?
Hi all,
I've never posted here before; I've been drinking wine for a while now but never really gave it the respect it deserves with regards to learning about it! I've been reading Wine Folly and tasting, but it's hard alone.
I tasted the subject Chardonnay and I'm looking to hear your comments on it. It's not what I expected. I think I was expecting an expensive Chardonnay to be just a more full-bodied, oaky Chardonnay (don't judge me, newbie lol) but this was light and acidic to me. I found it difficult to define fruit or scents/notes because it just smelt acidic - which I put down as citrus/lemon.
Excited to hear your notes!
Me and my fiancee are taking our honeymoon in Napa and Sonoma this upcoming January and are always looking for recommendations. We are foodies and oenophiles (that's why we are honeymooning in Napa, Sonoma, and San Francisco) who really appreciate a good small batch, craft Winery that doesn't do the same ol wines we see everywhere.
We love the "off the beaten path" grapes and varietals, give me the Mouvedre,Β Aligote, Vermentino, Zweigelts, Blaufrankish, Mondeuse, St Laurent, and Pet Nats.Β We want that funky stuff!!Β We will take biodynamic, unfiltered, natural and/or some good skin-contact stuff over the big fancy tasting room places any day.Β I can't lie, we also love a great Pinot Noir,Β but then again, who doesnt?!?!?
We're doing 3 nights in Healdsburg Hotel and 2 nights in Alila Napa Valley and 2 nights in San Francisco... Not sure if we should do 2 in Healdsburg and 3 in Napa Valley or the other way around.
Some of our Sonoma choices are:
Coturri (Glen Ellen) Ashanta Wines (Glen Ellen) Idlewild (Healdsburg) MacRostie (Healdsburg) Unturned Stone (Santa Rosa) Horse and Plow (Sebastopol) Magnolia Wine Services (Sonoma) Marconi (Sonoma) Ryme (Forestville) 2 Shepards (Windsor) Grand Cru Custom Crush (Windsor) Old World Winery (Fulton)
As for Napa our initial list is....
Tank ( Calistoga) T-VIne (Calistoga) Cain (St Helena) Orin Swift (St Helena) Ashes and Diamonds (Napa) Matthiasson (Napa) Outland (Napa)
So what do u guys think, anywhere else we should try to target??
Thank you in advance
UPDATE: Thanks all! Our hotel room tv had NBC Bay Area so we are watching (hopefully an epic comeback) now!
Iβm in wine country (Yountville) tonight and we are looking for a good spot to watch the game (would actually prefer to watch it in our hotel room but assume thatβs not an option). Any ideas?
Hello, does anyone have a saved Google map route for a scenic drive through Napa Valley? I'd like to take mom out for her birthday (71 years old this past Dec) on a drive to enjoy the scenery. I'm a wine club member at a few vineyards but she's unfortunately not much of a wine drinker but does love nature and the romanticism of vineyards. She's immunocompromised so we likely will avoid indoor areas with lots of people, but should be pretty comfortable taking in the sights from the car or non-crowded outdoor areas.
please feel free to message directly if you don't want others seeing it. thanks in advance.
It looks like MisterWives will be performing at Bottlerock this May. Ahhh I wish I lived closer, this looks like so much fun!
