A list of puns related to "Nabothian cyst"
How common are nabothian cysts on the cervix and do any of you have them?
I've had one on my cervix since the beginning of the year when I bought a speculum and discovered it myself. The doctor checked it out in August and confirmed it alongside me having a cervical ectropion. She said everything else looked healthy and that I've to let the nurse know next year at my first smear test about it and to let them know that I've seen about it at the doctors. I'm pretty sure I've still got it as I can feel a smooth bump on my cervix and I'm just wondering how long they can last and do they cause any problems? I wouldn't know I had it if I had never checked in the first place.
My periods arenβt very regular per se. If I get my period on the 8th next time I could get it on the 16th that happened to me last months. So far the 9th so period. I have 8-10 day periods when my period delays. They arenβt heavy . 4 days brown blood,3 days heavy bleeding and 1-2 days spotting. Not sure if that is relevant. But I looked at my ultrasound results, and had I not asked for them myself I wouldnβt know I had nabothian cyst and multiple at that. The drs didnβt seem worried enough to tell me. But she said itβs completely normal. But the fact that itβs multiple is frightening. I am no stranger to cyst. Any input. Yes I got a βfibroidβ as well and itβs growing. Which doesnβt concern them either. Iβm only 23 and i know I should go somewhere else but I donβt have health insurance so for now I have to stick with them. They are kind people they just seem to minimize everything as normal.
This feeling is relatively new but the last 2-3 times my fiancΓ© and I (25F) have had sex, I feel sick and Nauseas after, for most of the day. Most recently was today. My gyno identified a few nabothian cysts on my cervix last appointment and said it was nothing to worry about. Itβs also the last day for my period today, but that wasnβt the case the last two times. Iβve never given birth, if thatβs relevant at all. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this
I just had my Pap smear done at my GP office and she said she saw something on my cervical gland...I went home and did some research and thought it could be a Nabothian Cyst. Or so thatβs what it feels like...I feel a very tiny little bump on my cervix.
I donβt feel any pain or anything like that.
She took a culture of the bump and Iβll get my results in a week. If it is a Nabothian Cyst, will it come back benign? Or abnormal? Iβve read that they are benign but I donβt know what the results will say from the Pap.
Has anyone else experienced this? Please let know please reach out. Iβm trying to relax. And if it is cancer then at least I caught it early.
Someone please let me know if this has happened to you.....thanks guys.
I wanted to thank everyone for their responses. My Pap smear results came back normal and I was worried about having a nabothian cyst but itβs completely normal. Thanks so much guys!
Iβll now get my Pap smear tests ever year and be more careful.
Hi I'm new here so I apologize. I (24F) have had a really sharp pain like someone jabbing a needle into my lower left abdomen. So bad I couldn't out of bed Monday. It's been on and off for the last four days. I went to the doctor and they immediately sent me to an imaging place where I got a pelvic ultrasound and a transvaginal ultrasound. They called me today with a referral to a gyno and the results I mentioned above. I've gotten this pain a few times a year for as long as I can remember but I don't remember it ever being this bad except maybe once.
I don't know what to think. I didn't think I had endo but after some research I realized I have a lot of the symptoms but always contributed it to my weight/stress/typical women things. Pooping if 75% of the time absolute hell to the point where I'm biting into a towel just trying to pass. I feel like pulling sensation in between my rectum and vaginal walls that leaves me curled up on the floor. I'm on the nuvaring and it's stopped my periods but I still get vague cramping monthly.
Idk...I'm just scared and frustrated. I had a brain tumor that caused my pituitary gland to go into pregnancy mode (even without a baby lol) and every time my lady parts act up I just get super anxious.
I'm not sure exactly what I'm asking. I don't even know if I belong here. I'm just confused and anxious.
This week I was doing an ultrasound on myself (Iβm an ultrasound tech) and I found a Nabothian cyst. I had my coworker scan it to confirm it. I have an OBGYN appointment in August so I will of course ask her all these questions, but was wondering if anyone else has them and if they seemed to affect their fertility? Did it go away on its own?The internet doesnβt seem to be much help.
Thanks in advance!!
Hi ladies, I'm hoping somebody can give me some advice.
I had a small bump on my cervix which recently has grown by maybe 50% in the past few months, and also grown another bump to the side of it but the new one is very small. My cervix feels nice and smooth, as do the bumps. They don't cause me pain when I touch them, nor do they bleed. It does give me period like pains after feeling them though which I think may be normal (in the way that a 'sweep' during pregnancy can set off labour?).
Anyway, does anybody have them and can tell me if mine feels like theirs?. I also have a smear test due this year and not sure whether to wait until then to bring them up to my GP, or if it's worth seeing them sooner?.
I'm slightly stressing as I had HPV+ and abnormal cells during my last smear which lead to a punch biopsy. I don't think they ever told me which strain of HPV I had and I don't think I had the first bump at the time anyway
Based solely on checking my cervix and google, I believe I have a nabothian cyst. I am on CD13, I shohld O in 2 days. I am in no pain whatsoever and I realize none of you are doctors...but, has anyone else had these? Can this affect TTC?
It feels like a pimple, sorry if that is a TMI. While to google search said that it is nothing to worry abiut health-wise, I couldn't find much info on TTC with this issue.
Thanks in advance, and baby dust to all :)
My mother is 54 years old (4 years postmenopausal). She noticed spots of blood on 16th November. It occurred 3-4 times on the same day and then never occurred.
She did a urine test on June 2021 and everything was normal. Her HbA1C, CBC, LFT, KFT, and Urine were normal. ESR was 30 and C-Reactive Protein was normal. She is slightly overweight ( 83 KG) and her Height is 5'2''.
We start consulting doctors on the same day and started following their prescriptions. As doctors suggested:
In all ultrasounds, there was no finding on the uterus, ovaries, or bladder. All others were normal.
Now, different doctors have different opinions:
It will take a few days (3-4) for blood tests which are necessary before polypectomy and DNC. I would like to know about your experience. Should we be worried? Does it sound alarming? Should we do MRI as well (as suggested by one doctor)?
So, I ended up in the ER yesterday due to very bad cramping on my left side. I was concerned about an ectopic pregnancy, so I went in and they gave me a transvaginal ultrasound.
I know this is not relevant, but oh my god, the PA I talked to had the worst bedside manner ever. My nerves went from 0 to 60. When she came in with the ultrasound report, she admitted to knowing nothing about OB (she said βthis is why you call your OB instead of coming to the ERβ β¦. Sorry lady, I donβt even have an OB yet and I thought I might be dying?) and having no idea how to interpret the results. Understandable, but frustrating.
This is the report: The uterus demonstrates retroversion with overall size of 7.3 x 2.7 x 4.3 cm with a 4 mm anechoic lesion of the upper cervix, consistent with nabothian cyst. The fundal endometrial canal contains a gestational sac with mean sac diameter of 1 cm a crown-rump length of 0.2 cm. A yolk sac is present. Estimated gestational age measures 5 weeks 3 days. Fetal heart rate measures 76 bpm.
My HCG measured around 10,000.
I thought I was 5w and 5d, so not too far off there. But the heart rate did seem low and to add insult to injury, the radiographer added a note at the bottom: βfetal demise highly likely.β
Iβm cycling through heartbreak, acceptance, grief, anger, and hope.
Iβve had no bleeding so far. Just bad cramps. This is my first pregnancy, so I have no frame of reference as to what is normal, but what Iβve read online seems to indicate that even if the heart just started beating, which is likely considering how early on my pregnancy is, it should be more in the 90-100 range.
I guess the point of my babbling is, has anyone had a similar situation, or can anyone offer any insight? Any and all experiences welcome.
I do have an appointment with an OB on Friday, but the OB office told me it would just be a 30 minute appointment to discuss my goals for my pregnancy and what kind of care I would like, even though I conveyed what the ER visit was about and what I learned from it.
This is all so scary and uncertain. I just want answers, even if theyβre bad.
Small update: I saw my OB yesterday. As I mentioned, it was just a brief appointment. They drew a ton of blood and we discussed family histories, etc. They scheduled me for an ultrasound on Wednesday. Iβm anxious to hear how my pregnancy is going and like I said, even if itβs bad news, itβs better than no news. I asked the OB what she thought about the radiology report and s

LMP 10/12 (ttc first baby since July 2021; in USA) First positive at home test 11/5 - yay! First beta ~15dpo on 11/11 was 27 - hmm seems low but staying optimistic
8w2d 12/9 ultrasound and doctor says βAre you sure youβre pregnant? Like you got a positive test? I donβt see any evidence.β Nothing like feeling gaslit in one of the worst moments of my life. US showed an empty uterus and classification of pregnancy of unknown location. Told it may be ectopic and we need to monitor betas. HCG 2509.
12/10 Expect to hear back from doc Friday but no one calls back. Freaking out! Officially spotting for the first time.
12/11 I wake up feeling faint and am covered in sweat! Panic and go to ER with low blood pressure but otherwise confirmed nothing in uterus, ovaries, or tubes. Told to expect to start miscarrying but it will be like a βheavy periodβ with no tissue since nothing appears visible, only a 9mm endometrial stripe and some nabothian cysts on cervix. Start bleeding more by evening.
12/13 HCG drops again to 1278. Yay! Still no word from doctor! I only know these levels because I have a quest account otherwise I wouldnβt even know that! Terrible night with painful cramping.
12/14 finally talk to doc who says sheβs still worried about ectopic and to go to ER if I have side pain but otherwise I need to do 3 more betas. Waves of cramps in uterus on and off and worsening into evening when I pass tissue! Iβm so confused because they said that wouldnβt happen. Cramping stops next day.
12/16 and bleeding stopped with hcg down to 716. Finally feeling hopeful.
12/20 wake up feeling achy with sore throat. Heart rate is fast. Take a sick day from work to rest. Get blood work nearly 100 hours after last draw and it goes UP FOUR to 720!?!?
I feel so sad but also still terrified and I donβt know what to do with myself. At this point Iβm at the 10w mark and I donβt know what my options will be (keep waiting, methotrexate, surgery)? I would love to hear about your journeys and how you felt about these various options. Anyone get a plateau followed by dip?
Update evening of 12/21: went to ER per doctors orders and HCG dropped to 616! Yay! Also COVID positive which may explain weird plateau.
12/23-12/25 had some more bleeding but no pain.
12/27 beta 316!
1/4 beta 183!
Doctor canβt really explain what did or didnβt happen but I can wait two weeks until next draw and if things keep at this rate I may be back to 0 mid-February.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Hi lovely people,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me decipher my scans results.
My regular GP explained it to me the other day very briefly but as she has gone on annual leave now I can't call her and ask again. During the phone call I was a bit flustered and tend to forget things very easy (thanks anxiety!). I have a gyno specialist appt booked but couldn't get in for another 6 weeks. So to ease my mind just a teeny tiny bit I wanted to see if anyone knows what these terms mean. I have of course googled but still confused.
Apologies if these seem like dumb questions.
Does endometrial cyst mean endometrioma meaning endometriosis is present? I have all the "classic" signs for endometriosis, hence the testing.
Findings of the report state: Nabothian cysts are present within the cervix. Right ovary contains a tender rounded cyst with diffuse homogeneous ground-glass echoes measuring 20x19x17mm appearances most likely represent an endometrioma. Mild fatty liver and pancreas (steatosis). Right renal cyst. Positive site-specific tenderness over the right ovary with suspected right endometrioma measuring up to 20mm.
Should I be concerned? I don't quite understand what homogeneous ground glass echoes means or endometrioma. I am technically classified as obese (thanks to recent rapid weight gain π¬)
I had a heap of other questions but again, my memory is terrible π£
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Hi! I wasnt sure where else to post this so let me know if this is the wrong place for it. Basically iβve been having some weird health problems, got an ultrasound done and the doctor discovered a mass at the bottom of my uterus.
The ultrasound notes said its either a fibroid, nabothian cyst or some kind of tumor mass. My mom has problems with fibroids so she thinks its probably just my first fibroid. I agree with her but its just odd to me because the symptoms i have dont really line up with fibroid symptoms based on what iβve read?
For some background iβm 23 and iβve never had children, iβve had my HPV vaccines and all that. My periods have gotten consistently more painful and irregular over the past 2-3 years, so last September i got on the combination pill to try and control it. It made the pain and bleeding a lot worse so i went off of it after about a month. In March of this year i went to planned parenthood and was put back on the pill after being cleared with no STDβs in my lab work. They had me skipping the placebo week and i stayed on the pill for about 3 months this time since it was supposed to make me skip my period entirely. It unfortunately didnβt quite do that and i still essentially had a monthly period that caused me horrific pain and bleeding with golf ball sized clots. Now i have aching/stabbing pain in my lower abdomen and lower back (that travels down into my hips and thighs) constantly, it gets a lot worse around my period but its consistently there the rest of the time. I sometimes get pinkish bleeding between periods and the timing of my periods is generally irregular. I bleed a lot heavier than i ever have and still get large clots. But the weirdest part is that in the past few months ive started getting these flu-like symptoms? It started out as being a low grade fever and full body aches/general feeling of βoh no im getting sickβ happening about once a month, but now this happens about once a week if not more. I also have the worst fatigue that Iβve ever experienced, i sleep about 10 hours and only get to be awake for about 2 hours before im full-body exhausted and my eyes are closing by themselves.
Ive been tested for COVID and im vaccinated so its definitely not that, but i have no other explanation for why i feel sick like this all the time. I do have Hashimotoβs disease but my thyroid levels are normal and i dont believe its related to that based on what my doctor has said. I know mental health can cause physical ailm

I'm just going to jump right in! Have any of you ladies ever noticed small cyst-like bumps on your cervix after a self examination? I regularly check my cervix and breasts for any abnormalities after history of Cervical and Breast Cancer in my family.
I first noticed them in Autumn last year. There's only two, both felt small but one considerably smaller than the other. I haven't felt any more appear and they haven't gotten any bigger or caused any abnormal bleeding or pain. Which is great! Although I'm too young for a smear (23, UK), with what the Dr could see during my examination yesterday, she doesn't think there is any cause for concern or possibilities of cancer symptoms. (Phew!)
She said it is more than likely cysts. She didn't offer any treatment such as removal though which I wish I'd asked about now. Perhaps they don't need removed unless they're causing problems. I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever had these before? Did you leave them and they ended up causing problems or were they harmless? I'm just worried that if I leave them, they might turn cancerous later on in life.π¬
Thank you for any experiences shared! X
The nurse asked the rabbit, βwhat is your blood type?β
βI am probably a type Oβ said the rabbit.
The doctor says it terminal.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC

I couldnβt figure out from the language if this means DIE is in the bowel and Iβll need bowel resection? Is there anything significant in the report other than thereβs an endometrioma and endo in certain areas?
Also does anyone have lower right pelvic pain that feels better after eating? The pain is more severe when I havenβt eaten in a few hours.
Here are the MRI results:
Uterine size: Anteverted and slightly anteflexed, deviated rightward, and measuring 7.9 x 4.6 x 4.3 cm in CC by AP by TR. Slightly globular fundus and upper body. Junctional zone: Mildly thickened. Cervix: Several nabothian cysts are present. Endometrium: Normal for age.
Regions of thickening in the pelvis are described below:
Anterior compartment: Bladder, Ureter, Vesicouterine pouch, Vesicovaginal septum: Normal.
Middle compartment: Uterine body: Site of endometriosis coats the dorsal serosal surface of uterine body, along the torus uterinus, and extending along the uterosacral ligaments. Fallopian tubes/Ovaries: Normal right ovary with probable small paraovarian cyst. Left ovary with a dominant endometrioma measuring 4.8 x 5.1 x 4.3 cm in CC by AP by TR. Small adjacent follicles are present. Uterine ligaments (round/broad/cardinal): Normal. Vagina: Normal.
Posterior compartment: Uterosacral ligaments: Thickening of bilateral uterosacral ligaments, right greater than left, contiguous with the torus uterinus. Rectovaginal septum: Normal. Anterior rectal wall: Site of deeply infiltrative endometriosis appears to contact the high rectum but without focal thickening or retraction to suggest for muscularis invasion. Sigmoid colon: Normal. Portions visualized of the tip of the appendix appear thick-walled and irregular extending towards the right ovary. Lumbosacral plexus and sciatic foramen: Normal.
Other sites of involvement: None.
IMPRESSION:
Do your worst!
