We always hear of organizations squandering aid and relief funds like Redcross and the Haiti earthquake disaster. If Organizations and politicians had to be paid out from an organization fund crypto wallet would that stop or slow corruption? Just a thought I had.
A client I worked for who is a self-proclaimed "socialist" and "woke" non-profit organization leader tried to commit wage theft against me. I pointed out the extreme hypocrisy and got my full payment. Definitely not working for them anymore! Read the thread though, their reasoning is quite laughable!

I recently started a small business where X amount of proceeds will be donated. I have searched left and right. I would like for it to be a local business but unfortunately the state I'm in doesnt have many ethical options... does anyone know of a solid organization I could donate to?

Why YSK: especially this time of year, there are plenty of companies that try to pretend that they are charities when they are actually for profit companies. The IRS keeps a full database open to the public online here where you can simply search for an organization to see if its a real non profit.
Further, if it is a nonprofit, both the organization and the IRS are required to disclose their 990 tax form, which provides their financial statements including the salary of their directors and chief officers, so you can see if half of your donation is simply going into the chairperson's pocket.

Hello! I work for a large non-profit organization. Through hearsay I learned our CEO makes about 12x the salary of front line workers. We are fed the usual narrative that if they were to pay us more the organization would go under, itβs not in the budget to afford such luxuries as working equipment and pens, this is the nature of our field and we should expect low wages. I think thatβs a load of horse shit and we are in the same boat as every other greedy corporation, executives working from home raking in big bucks while front line employees work two jobs just to survive. I dug around a little and it appears that non-profits are required to make their financial statements public including executive salaries. I found a few sites that say you can pay to get this information. I am more than happy to do so, I was just wondering if anyone has done this before and could recommend the best site to use. I would also like to know if salaries are listed individually or lumped together as a grand total. I want to address this in an all-staff meeting but I need concrete proof before I can do so. Thank you for any advice!

I strongly feel that prescribed stimulants are going to follow the opioid epidemic. I feel like awareness and education are sub-par.
