A list of puns related to "Mount Greenfield"
Hi r/sonos friends,
We moved into a new house, and we have an area where we want to mount a TV on the wall. The mount will need to swivel left/right given the use of the room, and we want a Playbar or Beam on the mount with the TV. TV should be 40-42" give or take. The set up is for a task area off our kitchen that also has a sofa, hence the need for swivel.
Has anyone set something like this up recently? The mounting options seem lightly reviewed. I can't find a single review for the Flexson Cantilever Mount for TV and Beam. I could do a full Playbar, with the Flexon Soundbar screen mount, but reviews on that seem to vary based on the TV and cantilever mount picked.
If you've got a recent TV + Sonos + cantilever mount set up that you're happy with, let me know the full stack. Thanks for any advice!
TL/DR Understanding why and exactly how AST Bluebird type satellites can connect to hundreds of millions of ordinary cellular phones at broadband speeds in over a million cellular sites worldwide requires understanding of a technique called beamforming. This writeup tries to illustrate and explain some of how and why that is done.
An example
Let us imagine a deployed and operational Bluebird satellite orbiting over USA at 700 kilometers altitude from west to east that lights up a beam cell in and around the valley of Lordsburg Draw in New Mexico near the border of Arizona. I know very little about that particular valley, but Wikipedia tells me nearby Lordsburg had a declining population in the latest census when it fell below 3000 inhabitants, so it should qualify as an example of rural USA. I also know this part of the USA is semi-arid and hot to the extent that cellular coverage and positioning saves lives regularly.
The city of Lordsburg is an testament to the importance of infrastructure as it was founded in1880 on the route of the Southern Pacific Railroad, because of that railroad. And figuratively Lordsburg is the final destination in the movie Stagecoach. Compared to railroads the stagelines were an older preceeding technology.
Let us look at that scene from a distance.
Low earth orbit is fast
Our Bluebird travels with an airspeed of 7,5 km/ second. Passing Texas west tip to its east tip (773 miles) 1244 km in 2.8 minutes it will be back on the same side of the planet again in 1.6 hours. While doing this it plots a projected ground trajectory seen as a faint green line and an actual trajectory in Low earth orbit seen as a yellow line, in figure 2.
This means for our Bluebird that from the time it is directly overhead (blue beam in fig2) to when it passes away from the satellites footprint and the satellite is no longer able to connect (black beam) it is just 3 minutes of time, and then another satellite takes over the job of keeping that particular beamcell connected.
The figures here is Field of view dependent and just my assumptions to a large extent. But AST Spacemobile application states the system is capable to provide service to 58 degrees of boresight (see figure 1). "Nadir" we also call this angle looking straight down on earth. So that is a 116 degree field of view. If you want to visualize that, close one eye as the visual field of one eye spans about the same angle. Another way is to look at the image below. The blac

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.

TLDR - The need of ethically sourced rare earths from allied nations is paramount. There are environmental issues (leachate from tailings dams, erosion and radioactivity to name a couple) at rare earth mines such as the Bayan Obo mine in China, Mountain Pass in California and Mount Weld in W.A but of these issues are of different scales. EU and USA have regulatory bodies investigating supply chains which will be meet U.N guidelines whilst also provide them with autonomy. The means of achieving such independence include sourcing materials through recycling to produce rare earth elements to some effectiveness which does lessen dependence of certain producers and decreases waste simply through re-use such as NEO tsx, NMT asx and LIT asx. Some companies are trying to eliminate the need of rare earths altogether (Honda and Jaguar for example). The question is are non-ree-ev cars better? The general consensus is no. If recycling doesn't meet production quota's is - environmentally friendly REE mining. Sure, the plant will still need diesel for years (even the plant will be EV operated eventually) but it is way more environmentally friendly than it used to be. The companies which still rely on them if they still require rare earths - there is sorting equipment such as TOMRA (VML) and Steinert (NTU) which eliminate the need of tailings dams and deplete the radioactive run off risk.
Ok this is going to be ranty as fuck but - u/BuiltDifferant asked me a good question yesterday about this specifically within the yesterdayβs daily (my answer being VML and they knew about it already), so no worries mate, I'll put my useless framed piece of paper that says "Bachelor of Environmental Science" - with a geography and geology double major (and yes surely there are plenty here who will be way more qualified in this field of almost 80 k members because I'm just have a bachelor degree - and some may nit-pick and have even better suggestions, which is fair enough (this is what makes democracy good) - so I admit I am FAR FROM AN EXPERT IN THIS FIELD), but anyway, I may as well use my toilet paper degree with

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.
I won't be doing that today!

Hi everybody, it's me, your City of Pittsburgh Anti-Litter Specialist again. You may remember me from such posts like last week when when you good people were saying "The Dude is leading the crackdown." in the comments of this story "'We will find you': Pittsburgh officials start illegal dumping crackdown" or from this thread about the "We Buy Houses" signs.
I'm going to open this up to a full-on AMA because anywhere I go, everyone has a problem, opinion, or solution for the many ways trash trashes up our city and I'm 100% here for it every time.
But first, let me once again plug the upcoming 5th Annual Garbage Olympics! Saturday, September 18th, Pittsburgh is once again holding the city's largest competitive volunteer clean-up event of the year. In last year's neighborhood vs neighborhood match, 38 teams competed with over 724 volunteers picking up over 1129 bags of garbage, 670 tires, 254 TVs, 5 mattresses, 6 couches, 12 shopping cares, 5 refridgerators, 4 lawnmowers, 2 satelite dishes, and 1 jukebox.
Each year of the Garbage Olympics we've manage to break the previous year's records by growing so rapidly, starting with only 6 neighborhoods in 2017 to now aiming for 46 in 2021 (half of the number of hoods in Pittsburgh +1). So far this year we have:
So if you don't see your neighborhood on here yet, there's still time to register your neighborhood and lead as Team Captain. And you'll notice that there's a few areas directly outside of the City of Pittsburgh limits, we al

Iβve just finished a list of Grand Designs builds in order of cost: Part 1 here, Part 2 here and Part 3 here. Unlike βThe Dome Houseβ in the Lake District (S10E08), the costs of the Chesil Cliff House, North Devon (S20E06) are not difficult to work out, as long as youβre happy to round down to the nearest million. The owner is pretty forthcoming about his spiralling expenses and mounting debts as the episode progresses.
But itβs still an interesting ride, and since this episode of Grand Designs has been described as the βsaddest ever,β I think itβs worth a closer look. Sorry itβs so long, I got really into it.
DECEMBER 2011: THE DREAM:
Music executive Edward Short, director of a company called (ironically) βThe Department of Good Ideasβ which found its greatest successes in dance music compilations, moved from London to North Devon with his wife, ex-fashion-buyer Hazel Short (now an accountant and secretary of his company), and daughters Nicole and Lauren.
Theyβre a sporty bunch. Hazelβs career bio says she βenjoys walking, swimming, cycling, pilates and sailing in her spare timeβ and moved to Devon to βfocus on bringing up her two daughters.β The parents narrowly avoided prosecution in 2016 for taking their daughters out of school to attend a volleyball training camp in Tenerife.
The opening scenes of their episode of Grand Designs depict a couple of carefree girls leaping off sand dunes and throwing rocks into the ocean. Edward says, somewhat poetically, that he βdreamt of being close to the sea,β within βalmost a touchable distance of a wild, stormy sea.β The poetry ends there.
THE PLACE:
For a whopping Β£1.4m the Shorts purchase what Kevin calls an βordinary-looking [1950s houseβ](https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/images/grand-designs-lighthouse-north-devonscreen-shot-2019-10-10-at-12-57-05-1570719886.jpg?crop=1.00xw
