A list of puns related to "Motor Totemist Guild"
It's even better than U totem and this band was already incredible!! Now I can't wait to acquire the rest of their discography ( City Of Mirror is the only one on Bandcamp)
Because I guess Prog rock is the closest style I can find an active enough subreddit to post in. http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=3067 I can't find anything except for their album with cuneiform records.
Hey everyone! This is a class I've had on the backburner for a while as I've worked on it, but I'm putting it into release today. It's the totemist class, which has gone through a ton of changes at this point as I posted various incarnations on UA and DnDHomebrew, but I feel like it's in a really good place now.
The tl;dr is that the class summons large wooden statues (referred to as idols) that affect the area around them, according to what kind of idol it is. For example, idols can perform feats like redirecting damage away from allies, turning the area into difficult terrain, filling with fog that you and your allies can see through, and so on.
This is not a conversion of the 3.5 totemist class; this class has nothing to do with that one. However, I felt that the name was the most appropriate name, so I decided to go with it.
The PDF is pay what you want, so feel free to just grab it for free, and please let me know if you have any comments/critique/suggestions or anything, I'm always working on stuff and I just want to make my stuff the best it can be.
Thanks to everyone who helped shape the class! There's an extensive credits list at the end of the document.
I think she might be the worst ld 5 in the game, if not just nat 5 in general. She has a very interesting passive but ultimately it doesnβt do enough. And donβt get me started on the rest of her trash kit. So if u could only make one change to her wat would it be?
Im trying to make totemist my religion as the netherlands, but they seem to not want to spread. Neither in my subjects nor in my own european lands. Ive conquered alot of land that i "let them have" but they wont revolt in europe.
The table is a breakdown of how the totemists skill 4 seems to be constructed from components of the first 3 skills.
Kit Comparison: Riley vs Aaliyah
I wanna open with this: I love the idea Com2Us was going for with the totemists. That said, riley just feels blatantly stronger than the other two elemental totemists. Nora is another discussion, but I feel like Aaliyah is supposed to be cast in a similar mold but for some reason has a much worse S3 than Riley.
The lack of a 3rd effect as compared to Riley S3 (Cleanse) is strange. Furthermore, the 2 turn 15% HOT (heal over time) effect is just strictly worse than the 30% upfront healing in most cases.
The defense buff is neat and I like what they going for here, but the implication of the table is that Com2us thinks that a 2 turn HOT is so OP that that this skill shouldn't have a cleanse, when in fact, the turn HOT is already a detractor in and of itself. If they play their own game... then they know that is incorrect in most circumstances.
All of this leads me to believe that either Aayilah's S3 was originally intended to be more on par with Riley's and this was a mistake... or something like that. Riley is a fantastic unit in everything from guild content to RTA. I would love it if this unit was too.
My questions for all of you is, if her S3 was the same as Riley's except with a defense buff instead of an attack buff, would she be relevant or not? If so, in what content?
Im playing as a totemist custom nation and i had the idea trait as my first leader trait. Apparently its changed to 5% and not the 10% stated on the wiki. Is this new or has the wiki always been wrong?
Just a FYI, if you switch into totemist, you can pick old non totemist leaders as ancestors, and they will give their first tier as a bonus. Only the icon will be a question mark, and if you save and load this bonus is gone, and the slot is locked permanently giving nothing.
For example, here is my previous ruler, who I just picked as an ancestor after loading a save. And here is he after saving and loading.
I saw people posting in the Monster Info for the Wind Totemist that she stacks on Revenge - which goes against her current skill description of gaining One Totem when using a skill on her turn.
Tested it out and it is true. She will receive one Totem from being attacked and will receive a second Totem from Revenge attacking. I believe that this will be the same for all of the Totemists.
I expect this will get a quick Balancing within the next few days as it specifically says in her skill description that she can only gain a Totem from using a skill on her turn, or from being attacked. As such, I would recommend that people do not pour huge amounts of energy and mana into upgrading Revenge runes for her, nor should they be disappointed when the Balancing comes around.
Hope this helps some people who are a wee bit confused :)
Hey Guys,
im in my first game with a totemist NA tribe and im absolutly blown away by the religion mechanics. Especially if you combine it with a republic as goverment. My current bonuses are (in the year 1620):
+ 10% Discipline- 20% Advisor Cost- 20% Building Cost+ 20% Goods Produced- 10% Idea Costs- 10% Tech Cost+ 20% Trade Efficiency+ 20 Colonial Growth
I still got two more to pick but currently im just waiting to see what my future rulers will bring to the table (or rather "in to the tippi"). I really like the mechanics but it looks a little OP to me to be honest, especially if you keep in mind that you can still get a living ruler with the same trait, so +20% Discipline or + 40% goods produced through your rulers (+ ancestor bonus) is absolutly possible. What do you think about it? I would "rank" it on pair with the christians (only because they can get PUs), at least for SP or MP Coop, i dont play PVP so i cant talk about it there.
So I've got a question for folks.
I'm going a (Druid/warshaper/MoMF)/(Totemist/saint) in the World's Largest Dungeon. I just used wild shape for the first time. So I've got my form, I've got my soulmelds, next level I'm going to be taking saint. My problem comes from me trying to figure out my attacks. Suppose I transform into a panther. The base cat has 2 Claws and 1 bite. But I also have Girallon Arms. Does that mean I get 4 more attacks on top of my 3 cat attacks?
I've read both sides where they said they are magic items, so they don't work because they meld into the form, and I've heard the other side where they say they only take magic items slots so you don't have both soulmelds and items but because they aren't items they continue to function.
Mainly I don't wanna cheat and give myself 7 attacks when I should only have 3 or 4.

We might get some juicy news from Canoo on this day.
Despite picking up ancestor traits with -% tech cost, there isn't any effect on my tech cost and I managed to get 0 shock generals despite having two ancestor traits giving me +1 shock pips.
Can anyone else check if this is a common problem with the update? I'm yet to find any evidence the religion does anything at all.
Spent fifteen mins in console killing rulers and it see,s that totemism will allow you to pick the same ruler personality more than once, however if you do so it removes the benefit of the first selection without giving further bonuses.
I'm about to reform with the Iroquois, and i ask, has anyone reformed into a republic with the north american and does it still work with the totemist religion or does it break it and the pantheon mecanic doesn't work anymore?
Does a ruler that stay for 1 term, can still be venered?

Has anybody played totemist republic yet? If you are a republic you can change leaders fast and therefore have tons of ancestors. I just started up a custom nation with a strict leader. Played and changed leader, I was lucky enough to have another strict leader directly after. Now I only had to spend 800 diplo power and my religion gives me +20 dicipline in 1477.
I currently have a slot in my ancestors with a [?] and no bonus provided that was supposed to be a 'strict' ancestor giving a discipline buff. I also seem to have no way to remove him. I've still got slots open so its not a huge issue yet but am I going to be stuck with this dead slot in my faith for the rest of this campaign?
"The dragons came to tamriel with the nords, so the falmer didn't really have a lot of time to interact with them." -V1ru_5
"When Ysgramor arrived in Skyrim in the late Merethic he brought the worship of Dragons with him..." -BrynjarIsenbana
I'm going to lob a missile or two at this very Teslorian way of viewing dragons, and go a bit deeper and wider yet:
Ysgramor, far from being a cultural/religious innovator in Skyrim, largely subsumed what he and his 500 companions discovered as they returned to its northern shores. This essay (which I will post in two installments) is a Skyrim Theory of Everything, so buckle up and settle in for a good read.
I. The First Men
Before I begin, a little background context from A Childrenβs Anuad. This particular creation myth sufficiently captures the mythological setting of Skyrimβs primordial inhabitants (and Esbern insisted on having his copy with him when he fled Riften, so you know it's good):
βOther Ehlnofey arrived on Nirn scattered amid the confused jumble of the shattered worlds, wandering and finding each other over the years. Eventually, the wandering Ehlnofey found the hidden land of Old Ehlnofey, and were amazed and joyful to find their kin living amid the splendor of ages past. The wandering Ehlnofey expected to be welcomed into the peaceful realm, but the Old Ehlnofey looked on them as degenerates, fallen from their former glory. For whatever reason, war broke out, and raged across the whole of Nirn. The Old Ehlnofey retained their ancient power and knowledge, but the Wanderers were more numerous, and toughened by their long struggle to survive on Nirn. This war reshaped the face of Nirn, sinking much of the land beneath new oceans, and leaving the lands as we know them (Tamriel, Akavir, Atmora, and Yokuda). The Old Ehlnofey realm, although ruined, became Tamriel.β
Men had a crucial part to play in the formation of Tamriel as we know it, and that long before Ysgramor arrived on its northern shores. The Anuad preserves vivid memories of a unified attempt on the part of the Wandering Elhnofey (men) to co-exist peacefully with the Elves in the land. I call this original presence of men in Tamriel the First Nedic civilization; a culture which survived the Dawn Era Ehlnofic wars before losing itself in a series of continental diasporas. Distant memories of this original settlement are enshrined in Nordic myth and legend:
