A list of puns related to "Mindfulness based stress reduction"
Hi everyone, my therapist mentioned an 8 week course on mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). You can find more info here. I've found mindfulness super helpful for a lot of my troubles so far, from ADHD to anxiety, although I've struggled a lot with getting started with mindfulness and meditation, as well as keeping it up. So I'm almost certain this course will really help me but I'm being realistic about my staying power.
Anyone fancy jumping along for the ride? Even if it's just a bit of chatter here and there, or your own experiences with mindfulness. I know it's something that can be a LOT harder for us ADHDers so it'd be lovely to have some company.
Long time fan of Jon Kabat-Zinn and his mindfulness meditations, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) methodology. Listening to him speak recently, was surprised to find there have been several studies on the effectiveness of MBSR for reducing low back pain.
I see great value in my daily meditation (I do Kabat-Zinn's Body Scan daily). Cool to see it can help with pain!
Several studies linked to below, in their different forms all show some reduction in pain...

Each week has different videos, articles, and practices to work on. Iβm going through this class for the second time (first was a few years ago) and I wanted to share it with you all. This class helped me change how I approach my difficult emotions, and helped me bring more presence and appreciation into my life. Some of the videos are a little older but the content is great.
Because I'm thinking 'what if the cognitive part is what decreased the social anxiety symptoms?
My two other articles are about MBSR (we need three in total), so I'm hesitating whether they all need to have the same kind of treatment, instead of two MBSR and one MBCT.
But on the other hand, my question is about mindfuless. And these are all about mindfulness, but just slightly different approaches.
I'm probably overthinking this, but I'm just wondering what other people here think?
