A list of puns related to "Messianic Judaism"
I want to know if I could create a Messianic Judaism Sect of Christianity where I can build the third temple and restore Israel
I am new to Messianic Judaism/Christianity. It is my understanding that Messianic Jews use the Protestant version of the Bible. Thus it is lacking the Deuterocanonical books found in Catholic & Orthodox Bibles (such as Sirach, Maccabees, Judith, Wisdom, etc.).
Can someone be accepted as a Messianic Jew while ascribing "scripture" to those works?
I've noticed on this subreddit some posters flairs say: 'Messianic Jew'.
What separates Messianic Judaism from traditional Judaism, and Messianic Jews from Jewish Christians?

This article, Messianic Rabbi From Florida Arrested for Role in U.S. Capitol Riot, might confuse some folks.
If you've heard QAnon's linked to centuries-old antisemitic tropes, that's 100% true. The arrest of a Messianic "rabbi" changes nothing.
Messianic Judaism (e.g."Jews for Jesus") is a modern religious movement that bastardizes elements of Jewish tradition to proselytize to Jewish people.
They believe Jesus is the Messiah, that "salvation" can only be achieved through faith in him, and that following Jewish laws/customs is of no spiritual value.

Goddamn! these White Supremacists make me FURIOUS.
Hey, I have some questions about โMessianic Judaismโ. I kept kosher, celebrating the holy days, keeping my hair and not shaving. Iโm not Jewish but I just have an interest on their culture and how the early church celebrated the holy days and the Jewish culture. So my question is why is Messianic Judaism not Christianity and what should I do about it?
Messianic jews generally follow The Way. Seems like that's not an official dogma. Explain your beliefs. I currently am catholic but I'm beginning to delve into spiritual christianity and The Way interests me.
The Christian Bible, specifically the New Testament, demonizes Jews as the murderers of the false prophet and liar Jesus Christ. It wasn't until the New Testament was rewritten to be more politically and factually correct, that it was the Romans the killed Jesus, the this narrative began to change.
According to the Gospel of Mark, the crucifixion of Jesus was authorized by Roman authorities at the insistence of leading Jews (Judeans) from the Sanhedrin.
In addition, the Old Testament includes several books that are not considered canon in Judaism. These additions, added by Christians, seek to demonize the Jewish people as the enemies of God. For example, for Old Testament illustrates the Jewish people as stubborn and lazy, wholly incapable and unwilling to do God's bidding.
This antisemitic text has subsequently given rise to one of the most disgusting examples of antisemitism today: Messianic Judaism. Messianic Judaism seeks to wipe out the Jewish people by claiming that they ARE the Jewish people. This is a form of cultural genocide that seeks to undermine and supplant the most fundamental religious beliefs that define and distinguish Judaism from Christianity.
Former ymja? What are u up to these days? Do u still believe the same things we were taught? Did you ever attend Messiah Conference? Did u stop attending at some point in time?
Are u as conflicted as I am?
Hi all! I've recently joined Reddit and quickly found r/messianic. I think it's so cool there are a little over 1000 like-minded believers here.
I've grown up in the Messianic movement in Dallas TX. I can easily say you can feel a bit isolated and begin to think maybe you and your congregation are the only ones crazy enough to walk out a MJ lifestyle. Being in the south, the Jewish population isn't very dense AND being in the Bible belt supersessionism is a REAL problem. Conferences with organizations such as MJAA, UMJC, and Chosen People really help in networking with fellow believers but seeing this sub Reddit is pretty cool!
I've noticed most of the threads are about serious theological questions and discussions but I just wanted to see if could learn a little more about this group. Maybe where everyone is from?
I'll start- Dallas, TX
Thanks in advance for obliging me!
