Just wanted to do a PSA/see if anyone else witnessed it.

My gf was walking with her friend speaking Mandarin. A group of about half-a-dozen people hanging out near the bike lane at the park near Olympic Village started calling to them. She ignored them. One of them then followed her for about a block saying "I know what you're saying I can speak your language, I know you're talking smack blah blah better get out of here" (paraphrased obviously).

He definitely didn't speak Mandarin as they weren't talking about them at all, and even if he did he said it in English.

Late 20s, 4 white guys 2 black guys. Guy who followed her was one of the black guys, skinny with brown cargo shorts and a grey top.

Worth calling the cops?

Could anyone recommend a good cycling group for someone in his 20s? Looking to go out on some scenic group rides, ideally with a fun — dare I say pub based — social element bolted on.

I’ve been riding on my own for a few years now. Mainly ~40 mile jaunts into the countryside. Nothing too intense or anything.

I’ve been having a look online but a lot of the groups either seem to be quite serious or catering to older folk. Nothing against either of those, but I’m just looking for a group to have some fun rides and a few pints with. And I would like to meet people my own age!

As someone in their mid-twenties, I’ve been to a few poly meetups in my city but the youngest other person I’ve met there was in their mid-thirties and everyone else was forty plus. The group for my city which posts on Facebook and Meetup also attracts an older demographic in their online space, and the posts and interactions in the Facebook group all involve a style of humour, memes, and discussion in the voice of an older generation to mine (Boomers on Facebook vibes—not that there’s anything wrong with that!).

I think that young people today, especially if they’re queer, not only have a different way of talking and joking online, but also relate to poly very differently to older folk because the vast majority are not coming to it from a history of monogamous marriage or even the same kinds of heteronormative experiences growing up. So I basically don’t feel like I have much in common with the general vibe of the older poly groups in my area.

I would love to create a community where the chatting and jokes could be comfy for someone like me—a group for young poly people where we can meetup once a fortnight or month, but I’m not sure whether it would be very successful. Has anyone else felt alienated from existing poly groups in their area and tried to start an alternative one? Any advice for getting the word out, etc? I’m not sure I want to advertise it in the other poly group in case that just brings a bunch of folks who fitted in with the particular vibe of the old one over to the young one. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

For clarification , i'm not saying white folks should be allowed to act this way, i'm saying no group should be allowed to act this way and it seems like bullshit that many of them get a free pass. I don't understand why we accept it.

Does anyone know how this group obtains their bones/animal materials?

I wouldn't be very interested in them if they actually paid for them and supported hunting.

1. Night-time nanny vs. Day-time nanny: Which one is more helpful. I have 8 weeks of parental leave. My mother in law will be here but we also have another toddler. We cannot afford both day time and night time. Which one should we opt for?

2. TTTS:OB first said twins are di/di. The first FTM appt we realized it is mo/di. My wife is anxious about TTTS. They have us coming every two weeks. Is there anything we can do to prevent TTTS. What are the best practices that may prevent TTTS.

Hey guys, I'm Pooblbop, a 24 year old dude from NY. I've been playing TTRPGs for about 8 years or so now but have played with pretty much the same group the whole time. They're some good friends of mine who I love to play with, but I'm looking to maybe try and play with some new folks and see some new things!

I'm a little tight on time lately so I figured a Play-By-Post would be awesome. I've been in quite a few of PBPs before and love the format. It really lets roleplay shine and can create some nice scenes that table play can't always match. While I do love table games, I think both are a lot of fun.

My favorite part of D&D is the characters, and the players behind them. NPCs and PCs alike, I love seeing them in their element and out of it, seeing how they handle each situation. After all, characters make the game! They control the course and the pace.

I've done all my games through discord so thats where I'm most comfortable, but I'm totally open to some other means of play as long as it's mobile friendly, since I do a lot of my PBP gaming while I'm not in front of a PC.

Outside of D&D I'm just a dude who likes video games, board games, and anime. I'm kind of a loser, but at least I'm the type of loser that's fun to talk to. (I like to think so anyways)
