A list of puns related to "Man with a Plan (film)"
Now that Venom (sorry, couldn't mention Venom in the title without it automatically being deleted) is looking to be a big hit, it basically means that Eddie Brock, and the supporting characters in this film, along with their planned spinoffs for Morbius, Black Cat, Silver Sable, Kraven the Hunter, Nightwatch, Silk, etc. will all likely never see the light of day in the MCU, because they are stuck in this separate Sony Universe of Marvel Characters.
As a big fan of Spidey and his amazing rogues gallery, this is beyond frustrating to see. Just as the Marvel universe was about to be fully united (save for Hulk, Namor, and She-Hulk distribution rights), with the X-Men and Fantastic 4 finally coming home, Sony turns around and creates yet another separate Spider-Man universe, so that the MCU isn't fully complete with its roster of characters. And there's every possibility that Sony can turn around and pull Spider-Man out of the MCU for good, and stick him in their universe instead.
Sony got to have their cake and eat it too, thanks to Marvel Studios' help in revitalizing the character. And now they have manipulated the audiences to think that Venom is part of the MCU, and thus it has ridden off the coat-tails of the MCU success train (especially after Infinity War), ensuring this film's success despite its negative critical reception. I can't help but feel very pessimistic about this whole situation.
What do you think of these developments? I know this is a Sony movie, but I feel it is important to discuss with regards to the MCU's future and Spider-Man (for now) being in it.
I can already imagine Paul Rudd saying he has the perfect plan
Stark saying βwell itβs far grosser than anything I could imagine, but I donβt see how it can failβ
Recently, Iβve had this goofy mantra I repeat to myself while jogging (in silly voice) , β I am the man with a plan!β over and over and over again. Itβs dumb but it makes me laugh. Iβve even envisioned scenarios where the police would be looking for a man reported to be shouting βI AM THE MAN WITH A PLAN.β
Anyway, Iβve got 3 stores close to me I buy beer at and they all serve a certain purpose. One of them is purely for bender shopping, the man that runs this store has pretty much only seen me buying beer before 11 am. He used to give me condescending attitude but after a while where I kept coming back and obviously didnβt care heβs started to be pretty nice to me. Just a bit ago I went in for 6 pack of miller and a goose island IPA single (donβt worry I have more booze at the house) I pulled my id out for him to see (he doesnβt ask me anymore I do it to kind of fuck with him) . He looks at my ID and says βthank you bro you are the manβ¦.you are the man with the plan!β I replied βI am bro, thanks!β
pointless story but it really made my day. Chairs yβall !
I'm thinking of a scene in a movie where a few people (I think it's two guys) are waiting on a man to tell them something/make a decision/have a revelation/etc. The people are sitting down while the man is pacing back in forth in front of them. He isn't saying anything, but starts to a few times. Every time he does this, the people waiting lean forward, but he always stops himself/doesn't say anything and they get frustrated.
I have no idea what the release date is, mainly because it's admittedly so vague. I want to say the man making the decision is either British or playing British. Any help would be very appreciated!
My thesis film is due around August and while i have a great film and script, I don't have the budget to create it. I need to make a set (or rent a vacant house) and pay 3 actors. So instead I'm making one about a traveling invisible man with my own voice for a voice over.
I tried just placing each shoe a step forward with each frame, I tried placing an object under the heel or toe to make it look like a step, but in the end it looks really bad.
Please help.
Hello again, Reddit. We may have met before when I posted this mildly viral moment: https://www.reddit.com/r/Filmmakers/comments/c6gs14/when_i_was_12_i_wrote_george_lucas_a_letter/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x
So here's "George Lucas guy" back to answer any and all of your questions about how I made THE LAST WHISTLE, available on iTunes, Amazon, and DVD.
I didn't submit to any big film festivals, I didn't shoot with Red or Alexa, and I didn't give up when a more experienced producer told me I would fail. Moreover, I broke just about every rule in the book, and disobeyed most of the traditional advice nuggets in the process.
Feel free to ask me about working with Les Miles, Friday Night Lights' Brad Leland (Buddy Garrity), Parks and Rec's Jim O'Heir (Jerry Gergich), or any of the amazing actors involved. Moreover, feel free to ask about how I raised the money, how we found a distributor, and why I didn't submit to any big festivals.

EDIT (5pm CST) Wow, I didn't think this would draw so much interest. Will be logging off for a bit, but will be back on to answer whatever pops up later. Thank you for all y'all's support. If you want to hear me seriously ramble about this stuff, my book is on Amazon ("Rebel With A Crew", not without). Just if you're really interested. Not self promo here. Some of the most popular questions have to do with financing and career advice, so browse the below if that's where yours fit. And thank you all, even the trolls, for a fun afternoon.
EDIT 2 (2am CST) Lots of thoughts here. Number one: thank you Reddit users for upvoting the educational aspects of this AMA. I logged off right when some more vitriolic questions started to flow in, and my lack of reply didn't help. Luckily, the positive threads will be up top for those who are here for a learning experience, rather than to troll. That's thanks to the good people out there. Number two: lots of talk about IMDb rating and how it affects box office, and whether box office is overall profit or just theatrical profit. For those who don't know the different between the three, there's plenty. For those who do, feel free to fill in the blanks where I couldn't. Number three: Thank you to all of you who pitched in to help me answer questions and explain tougher concepts. Education is a community effort. Finally, I wish all of you the best in your endeavors. While there's no certain path in this industry, or

After Nick Cage, Iβm very excited to see what other actors Stanleyβs brings in to help put this madness on screen. I didnβt love Color out of Space, it defintely could have used a more subtle touch in some parts, but I really enjoyed Stanleyβs vision and just seeing Lovecraft in general. And though he wasnβt as good as in Mandy, pure Cage is always an experience.
I think two obvious answers are Willem Dafoe or Michael Shannon. But Iβm sure there are many other great options than Iβm not thinking of
Glad he ate her
Pretty sure this was a short film on youtube made in the 2000s-2010s to raise awareness for LGBTQ+ people in nursing homes. The main character remembers his life with his love back in the 50s/60s(?). The film flashbacks to them young.

If you are planning to watch the MCU films in chronological order leading up to the opening weekend of Infinity war and you schedule yourself watching one a week then you would need to start by watching Iron Man (the first film) in 2 weeks time; if you are living in the UK, Australia and most of Europe.
And if you live in the U.S.A and Canada then you would need to start in 3 weeks time.
Edit
u/neuromorph - if you are UK/europe based start watching the first one on the week ending Dec 17 If you are US or Canada based start watching week ending Dec 24.
This wasn't really a viewing guide, more of a -WOW! there are so many MCU films this is how early you would have to start watching kind of moment. Apparently there is a good guide/schedule on the Marvel cinematic sub
As u/dswartze pointed out if you wanted to do this chronologically then just watching Captain America first simply isn't enough

Notable Box Office Stories:
To expand. He would run into a room and quickly look around before moving on and then later on that version of himself would be hiding behind a chair in the same room as his "past" self entered and looked quickly through the room in exactly the same way. He seems to be in the middle of this scenario as there are versions ahead of him and "spawning" behind him exactly as he himself woke up He would see these other versions of himself in a variety of situations and eventually witnessed one murder? another, prompting a chase scene maybe? I remember he was frightened of the other versions of himself. I know for sure the film ended when he made it outside to the roof revealing identical buildings around him and another version of himself on the opposite building jumping off and committing suicide, followed by himself committing suicide because he knew he had to follow the predestination.
