What's an album that means a lot to you/near and dear to your heart?
It could be for any reason too, just as long as the album means a lot to you or is special to you.
Mine would be Chromatica by Lady Gaga. When "Rain On Me" came out, I was all alone quarantining because I got COVID while my dad was in the hospital for the same reason. That song got me through some of the loneliest nights I've had, and Chromatica itself was so therapeutic because I was able to dwell on my problems and issues that I was dealing with at that time with the lyrics but still dance alone in my room to feel happy during a pandemic. Even listening to the album now feels nostalgic in both a sad yet relieving way.
What about yours?
Edit: I just have to say, it's so heartwarming to hear all of your various stories with the albums you've decided to mention. Music is such a great vehicle to just deliver our emotions or channel how we feel and it's one of the reasons why I love it so much, and I know most of you share the same sentiment. Thank you for your wonderful replies, and Merry Christmas everyone!

What if you made an album, you love the album, you think you accomplished what you set out to do, you think it's a beautiful album, but it's niche, not many like or understand it, not many listen to it. Are you ok to say that that's ok because you know in your heart it's good?
Do you have conviction and confidence to say that you know it's great even if others don't agree or listen to it?
Does that matter?

Electra Heart is still one of the best album concepts that has ever been done
Being so depressed and filled with self-hatred to where you take on a persona adapting all of the traits in people that seemingly make them happy; the it girl, the Primadonna girl who is a heartbreaker and homewrecker all in one going from relationship to relationship learning that she is all too ridden with her own issues but at the very least it has helped you to address your own.
Faking it till you make it, pretending to be fake-happy and promiscuous bubblegum pop until you drag yourself out of the depression you're in... truly iconic and there really hasn't been anything done like it since. That's all, that's the post, I just really wanted to have a moment of appreciation for this album.

Just relaxing and calming songs combined with the spacy feelings do it for me. I was just bored and listened to an entire pink Floyd album, immaculate!

I've been listening to Abel since he dropped HoB. Trilogy and Kiss Land have a special place in my Heart but the more I listen to Dawn FM the more I feel like it's Abel's best Album ever. It's arguable one of the best Albums in music history. Am I overhyping it?

Would you say The Heart is a Monster is one of their weakest albums?
Don't get me wrong, it really isn't bad. After listening to Wild Type Droid and realizing how much I love this band I thought it was a good idea to buy my first physical material from them, and I chose THiaM. Why? Well, I knew it had a new version of Petting the Carpet (absolutely love that song) and had listened to I Can See Houses. The thing is the album isn't available on stream where I live because of copyright issues, so I just went for it and bought the cd without knowing more than those two songs (and Hot Traveler, 3 songs).
I thought it would be a more cohesive work from them, like their latest albums, but it just seems too long and varying for me. Besides the 3 songs I knew prior to buying, there don't seem to be any other hidden gems. Maybe Come Crashing and The Focus. My main critique is that they try to fill the songs with anything at hand, there is too much singing and lack of minimalism. Anyway, I feel they were a bit rusty after not releasing an album after almost 20 years, which is completely normal. Their follow up albums seem better as an overall product, and shows the band at a more mature level.
For context, I would say Magnified is their best work along with Fantastic Planet and WTD. I have yet to listen to the new version of Comfort, which from what I've read on this sub is pretty good. Please let me know what you think of this album!

Should there be a deluxe edition to Heights? I just was kind of expecting Timebomb, Lose You Again and Eat Your Heart Out to be included on the album as either bonus tracks or part of the standard edition so I was just wondering if they should release a deluxe edition with those tracks?
Possibly include their newest song Win Anyway from the movie Rumble? I kind of see the tracks being in this order
Timebomb
Lose You Again
Eat Your Heart Out
Win Anyway
