I cannot alter the title unfortunately. I apologise for the inconvenience. I have altered the post to make my objections clear and the intentions behind it even clearer.

Spoilers ahead and really strong triggers for mental health (mentions of highly distressing topics)

I dislike BJH. It is really too affecting. In that sense - that is why I call it too well-made.

It gets rather moralistic in the end - it seemed as if in its framing and feeling that they really really wanted to end with the second to last episode, instead of the murkiness that was the final episode.

The reason I tolerate BJH is because of that final episode. If it did not do that - I would have mercilessly cast the show into the rubbish heap; into the oblivion it so richly deserved by emotionally torturing me by bouncing between efforts to be a better person and condemnation of the person it focuses upon by the unfortunate circumstances of Bojack as a protagonist. Death or suicide is not the ending I want for anybody who is struggling - no matter the morality.

At times, it seems quite Puritan by saying even as a kid that Bojack was responsible for his own drinking and nobody else when his parents were actually the ones responsible for causing Bojack's alcoholism. I do not agree with that sort of implication. Children need to grow up without that sort of condemnation that would destroy them in order to give them a chance. (This essentially means if I was a time traveller - I would adopt baby Hitler and redirect him to adopt an architectural job instead of going megalomanical and genocidal)

It gets even more hypocritical when you recall Bojack saying to Diane, "do not fetishise your sadness." yet here it is: BJH the show descending into sadness to the point that it has an second to final episode devoted to a suicide attempt and a near death experience with a subtextual reason by the writers or the fans of condemning Bojack to die.

(I do not like that sort of thing. We need to get better. Life is hard enough without feeling death is the best option narratively or in real life.)

That includes even the writers who were trying to frantically backtrack their previous narrative framing of Bojack who was a very morally dissolute person who was trying to redeem himself, so they would be morally congruent with the times it was produced in.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

So yesterday I began to compile a list of food places in the region that have voiced anti vax, anti pass and/or pro protest sentiments. I'm quite happy to say I've not really been able to find many other locations that are like this, with a LOT more working in a way that is safer for everyone. Below is the list of places to avoid if you are pro pass, places I'm not sure on yet due to confusing phrasing and places that are pro safety.

I've had some people private message me some info about places because they're scared about people seeing them post. Please don't hesitate to do so if you know places that are to be avoided!

ANTI PASS

Burger Bro - VERY anti pass. Setting up tables outside for unvaxxed people, agreed with Destiny Church members during their protest, claim the pass is 'medical apartheid'. Literally just look at their facebook for a laugh (if you can tolerate the comments).

Lost Boys Cafe - Sad about this one.

Civic Eatery/Movenpick - Civic is apparently closed down but I believe Movenpick in the same place is still around? It's unclear if Pappadomz (the joint replacing Civic) is anti pass or not, but they're only just starting so maybe haven't had time to say yet.

Lone Star New Lynn, Auckland - Giving food to D Church protestors in almost a partnership context, advertising for unvaccinated workers specifically.

The Jefferson, Fort Lane, Auckland CBD - Had a massive party on Friday where nobody was checked.

Jax Burger Shack, East Tamaki, Auckland - Apparently serving non pass members. Discovered this via a facebook comment from an anti pass person.

The Tack Shack, New Plymouth (another Shack place..) - Had anti pass stuff on the door, claiming it was anti equality etc

UNCLEAR - (This doesn't mean they're using the pass or not, just vague details given).

Nando's - Claimed to be back to normal but didn't reply to a comment about vaccine passes.

Texas Pete's - Unclear, claimed to be back to normal but no mention of vaccine passes. Did post a snarky image about Squid Game and the PM (red light green light thing) but maybe they were just having fun with it?

Lone Star Hamilton Branches - Online the Lone Star brand claimed to more or less disagree with New Lynn and that all branches are required to follow the govt regulations. The Hamilton branches are yet to make any statement however (I'm hoping it's just New Lynn that's the bad seed).

Is it just me? Or is the gun violence is getting out of control? Most of these locations are walkable, and some are actually in the walking paths I go frequently.

This is just a list of places within 10 minutes of my home, and I don't even live in a dangerous area (off Blockhouse bay Road, Mt Albert side). I used to think that these are all gang related, and won't usually happen to regular people, but the victims in most of the incidents above are normal people with no gang links.

Apart from these, there were shootings at peoples homes, businesses etc., in South Auckland too. Can't imagine how their lives are like.

My question is, is there anything we can do to get the government to take serious action, or do we just have to tolerate and pray that this doesn't happen to us? I mean, if the gang members are proudly roaming around on their bikes, and parading during lockdowns, aren't the police supposed to act?

After I did my Valyrian/Targaryen name list, which made around 1400 Valyrian names (most of which were either awful or weird) I thought I'd have a hand at working out some First Men and Andal names.
