What's the use of Datums in UTM?
GIS newbie, studying CRS i can't seem to understand datums' role in UTM maps.
From what i got, in UTM maps coordinates values are given by the grid zones which are further divided in 100km an 1km squares.
Why then there's the possibility of using different datums for each utm zone? What differences should i expect based on this choice?
And if i had to use datums, shouldn't each zone have its own one defined by the ellipsoid centred in its zone's central meridian used for the projection?
I'm probably confused, which isn't good. Final exam tmr :/

Car Insurance changed end datum of policy after second car sale.
Hello everyone,
I sold my second car and now I have only one insured. The insurer Zurich insurance issued a new policy for me, with only one car, and also sneakily changed the expiration of the policy from 2025 to 2028?
I just wanted to change the cars details on the policyholder.
My question is is that even legal to change the expiration without noticing the insurer?
What kind of practice is that, for example if I buy a new car and they are keeping changing the expiration date of the policy that's mean that I have to stay with one insruer for all my life???
I am thinking to sold the another car as well and if I own no car the terminate the ZURICH insurance policy.
And after month buy a new car and choose another company.
I am asking for any advice, no ruling out the court and lawyer way to sue the insurance company.
