A list of puns related to "Logbook of The World"
It's probably just a coincidence, but still mildly interesting
After seeing people make the argument that βCassidy is a girl and so she cannot be TOYSNHK/ GF (if you believe the two are the same character)β I wanted to make a post that included how Cassidyβs name was A) not confirmed and B) couldβve been an accidental find that might be incorrect. And so I started writing it when I realized something: whatβs the point?
When the logbook was released everybody had something to say about it, and quite a good number of us were dedicated to finding out what the name that was being teased at throughout out the book was. But as time went on, people lost interest. I donβt blame them for doing so. Without any confirmation on what to do, people couldnβt figure out how to get to the solution. No amount of time could replace those missing pieces. And so when βCASSIDYβ was found, people were satisfied. But if the name turned out wrong, what is there to do then? Weβd be going back to square one and another solution would be unlikely.
To say an answer would be welcome would be a bit of an understatement for me. Having tried to figure it out myself for months, it was really only a waste of time. So what if Cassidy was the wrong answer? We wouldnβt be anywhere close to figuring out what to do. I donβt think itβs worth pursuing, and I do feel disappointed in it. Somewhere in those 100+ pages is a key to solving it and yet I canβt find a direct path.
Itβs been 2 years and 2 days since the logbook has come out, and I do wonder if an actual answer will come out of it. Until then, perhaps the best thing I can do is to just forget it. Itβs not something I want to do and I donβt think it can be entirely forgotten since I know the name Cassidy will be used, but what else can be done?
Me and my gf started with GC cca a year ago. We're planning to hide our first cache sometime this week.
We read the guidelines etc but we're wondering if there are any rules regarding the logbook. Are we expected to check the logbook against online logs once the logbook is full or is it just a prop - something to do when you find a cache, to give the find meaning?
Any other rules or guidelines for cache owners outside of changing the logs, updating the cache status, checking the cache page for trouble?
Just the student's last name? Every detail/maneuver/approach you taught?
EDIT: I'm asking this strictly in regards to your own personal logbook purposes, not tracking or recording your student's progress. I've been just putting the student's last name
I remember people saying she was a glitched FNAF 1 Chica or something in the menu screen. Did anyone find out if it was a new model, or just a glitch? Also did anyone get a close-up image of it?

Apologies for the inconveniences this may be causing. We sent a message to the dev of the logbook, /u/ComprehensiveImage5, and received no response. Something could've happened to them IRL or they may not have access to their account anymore.
Either way, the logbook is officially offline and we don't know when it'll be online again.
Just wondering if there is, if so, where?
We wade beneath the waves, our skin puckered and cold, and at night we sing from the rocks, but to you, our music sounds like screaming, so you hide yourselves away in your stone houses and pray to your stone gods.
We crawl through the shallows at dawn, catching silver-bellied fish to bait the seabirds with. We paint our skin with their blood-wet feathers as we bask beneath the pink morning sky, but the morning belongs to you and we scatter at your waking.
We sink deep beneath the surface when the sun comes high, hiding from the light of day. Our eyes are opaque and sensitive. You know this, so you mark the perimeter of your little village with braziers of coal and fire.
We surface at dusk when the sand is still hot from the sun and the sky has faded dark and blue. We collect the things you leave behind -- the nets and harpoons and bottles of smooth glass. We unfasten your moorings and pick at the pitch between the planks of your little ships. You shoot at us with bullets and spears, but you do not linger. You cannot linger. You know the night is coming.
We sing songs of honour and lust and joy to the canopy of white stars that stain the sky above, as you light your fires and seal your gates.
When night falls dark and cold, we crawl on our bellies out of the rhythmic surf and up the stony beach, our skin glistening and bloated and beautiful. We dig long fingers into the sand in search of trinkets left behind to weave into our viscous, reed-like hair.
We come by starlight, when you huddle in your dens, to the very edge of the darkness and we sing to you.
We sing and we sing, calling you home.

βI am Cuoro Karoon, flight man on the Qitanian long-range hauler βThe Shadow of Qitanβ, and this will be my first entry.
Cuoro Karoon, flight man - sounds good, doesnβt it?
But, seriously. Six years at the academy, learning to navigate, studying strategy and aviation, dedicating your life and soul to the defense and future of the Qitanian Empire until finally getting assigned for a mission to the uncharted regions of our galaxy, on a brand new ship crammed with high-value technology and goods to trade with newly discovered civilizations - and no permission to lift off due to one of our freighters hanging in the lower orbit with damaged thrusters, unable to move? I am bugged, but my captain is smiling. At least this little telepathic logbook here is working as it should. You think, it notes. Test test test. Nice.β
The Qitanian capital base on planet Dshoneekash
βThey finally managed to get the damaged freighter out of our way with three tugships. It still took hours, though. We had a very relaxed and uncomplicated launch and are now practicing a few maneuvers in our capital system. The navigation has been improved significantly since the last models, but itβs still far from perfect. The captain says itβs a good ship, maybe the best heβs been flying so far, and what else should I do but trust him.β

βWe will test the new advanced hyperdrive tomorrow by warping over to the Qitand-Kouth system, which, if my calculations are correct, shouldnβt take more than one fourth of the usual time. We wonβt even have to use the stasis devices, so I might be able to enjoy the rare view on space rushing by at several times t

Iβve actually studied the Logbook and thought about it a lot lately and have a few theories regarding it. For now, I want to discuss where and when it takes place in the timeline, and why it was definitely made during the construction of Fazbearβs Fright.
At first glance, the Logbook seems really confusing. Itβs an activity book that claims to be a security logbook for Fazbear Entertainment. So is it a legitimate logbook or not? Most people have thought it best to simply ignore all of the childish activities and consider them non-canon, taking the book to be a real logbook for security guards from Fazbeat Entertainment in-universe. The last FFP establishment was the FNAF 1 location, placing the Logbook no later than 1993.
However, I think a much more likely theory is that the Logbook exists as it does in our world, childish activities and all, as an accompaniment to the Fazbearβs Fright attraction. There are plenty of things in the Logbook that suggest this.
To start off, if you already think that SL takes place after FNAF 1, then thereβs no way the Logbook can take place before it, considering all the references to SL. I personally think that SL does take place after FNAF 1, but because that would warrant its own post, Iβm going to ignore SL here.
The most obvious sign that the Logbook takes place during FNAF 3 is that at the beginning of each βnightβ in the book (excluding night 1), thereβs an illustration of Foxy as a night guard in the Fazbearβs Fright officeβan exact replica, including the box with the scraped Toy animatronics. This would be a practical impossibility if the Logbook took place before FNAF 3.
Then there are the multiple references to Happiest Day, the minigame in FNAF 3. First is the page in the Logbook telling you to reflect on your βhappiest dayβ which shows the Puppet giving cake to a girl with black pigtails (interpret this how you want, but this is obviously supposed to be a parallel to the minigame). Thereβs also a coupon in the book called βHappiest Day,β which gives you a reserved party room, a 3-tiered birthday cake, a gift from the Puppet, and custom party kit with invitations and hats. Sounds a lot like the minigame. Thereβs also the page which asks you to draw an animatronic worthy of delivering your birthday, which should feature none other than the

By this I mean Luffy doesn't have thought bubbles of text explaining his thoughts and he usually just says out loud what he thinks or we readers just never know what he is thinking. This is quite impressive a writing technique since thought bubbles are one of the staples of comic books and choosing to not use them for the main character of a 1000 long manga is bold.
Now as many have noticed, Oden has some striking resemblances to Luffy in mannerisms and his story feels like it could have been a whole series on its own. Oda has used certain methods to trunket the story though to fit into a reasonable number of chapters and one such method I believe is this Logbook. Aside from being and good tool for montages, it's also a shortcut Oda is using to maintain another similarity between Oden and Luffy.
Oden does not have thought bubbles similar to how Luffy does not have thought bubbles. Though since Luffy usually has entire arcs to demonstrate his thoughts with actions, this luxury isn't afforded to Oden and so Oda has introduced a way for us to know what Oden is thinking via logbook while maintaining that Oden isn't written with Thought bubbles.
In the last couple of weeks I became acquainted with a SEO tool and one of the useful functions was adding notes to a timeline. So that you can see in the future what you have changed at a certain moment: for example new content or backlinks. With the aim of explaining progression.
So now I want to create a logbook or something in this nature to keep track of everything I change over the different platforms (facebook, instagram, adwords). Are there any template or this idea counterproductive? Let me know that you think!
(English is not my native language)
I was in the middle of a run and wanted to look up how something stacked, but if I wanted to do it in-game I'd have to quit the run or use an external website, most of which aren't updated yet. Just thought it'd be a neat QoL thing.
I recently read the Survival Logbook again and I was curious about the conclusions that the fandom reached about this book.
I know that the book confirmed that Michael is the protagonist of SL, as well as it leads to the belief that Michael is also the protagonist of FNAF 4 (because of the Nightmare Fredbear drawing he made).
What I'm curious about is what the fandom have to say about the "spirit writing" and those hidden phrases like the ones on pages 89 and 109 ("I can hear sounds", "It was for me", "I can't see" and "I'm scared").
I want to know what you think about them. And why, if you can answer. These questions bother me.

Iβm tired of that god damn logbook which screws the Michael Afton identity. It literally shows both sides of Mikevictim and Mikebully. We are taking it too seriously. Let's just say that the Logbook has the same errors as The Freddy Files, you will never know.
And another thing is that using logbook doesnβt solve much, yeah it does solve Cassidy and the protagonist from the gameplay of FNaF 4, but it doesnβt help to both MikeVictim and MikeBully. Scott created the logbook to screw up/hiding the identity/make jokes about the debate. He did the same thing as the Mangleβs gender theory.
If you want to use the logbook, that's fine, but as long as you use it carefully and not taking it too seriously. For example, βOMG MIKEVICTIM IS CONFIRMED ACCORDING TO THE LOGBOOK!β That's not acceptable.
Wanted to pick your brains about something...
I've been using HRD 5.24.38 since it came out ~2012, DM 780, HRD log, etc. Presently, HRD Log 5.24.38 works fine when auto-logging JT-65 and JT9 QSOs from WSJT-X through JT Alert. The SW won't attempt to change JT-65 or JT9 contacts to another mode.
Things actually work fine when running FT8 when you log the QSO. The mode is logged as FT8, but when you update the logbook with XML data from qrz.com, it reverts the mode from FT8 to THROB. This doesn't happen to me with JT modes.
So, I've been thinking about switching over to DX Keeper and the rest of that suite, but the learning curve is a bit steep. I'm working on that now.
I'd upgrade to HRD 6.x, but given how expensive it is, the yearly fee, and the drama from a few years ago, I'd rather not go there.
What I like about the HRD/HRD Log is that it's easy to see QSLs: paper, eqsl, and LOTW. Working PSK, RTTY, and other digimodes with DM 780 is also pretty painless. I don't think WinWarbler lets you work other digimodes, though.
So, what I've been doing...
If I'm working PSK, RTTY, Olivia, etc... I'll do it in HRD/DM 780 and export adifs to DX Keeper.
I keep the HRD Log synched with DX Keeper after I get any XML updates I need from qrz.com.
I suppose I just need to bite the bullet and acclimate myself to DX Lab, unless there is something better out there. It seems to me that it's the closest thing to what HRD gives you in "one package" of sorts.
TL;DR - Growing pains moving away from HRD
For everything the guyβs been through, I find it admirable to still be cracking jokes. I may not have the best sense of humor, but I laughed for about 30 minutes at βHe tripped and fell on Freddyβs teeth, not our fault.β
