A list of puns related to "List of video games considered the best"
Also, like most comedic Sonic material, Eggman will be considered the best part
Especially Samurai Shodown.
I mean, look at the games we got in 2011 (yes, astonishing that 2011 is 7 years ago oh god I'm getting old) - counting initial releases only, and these are only the games I've played, there may be others too:
Dragon Age ][.
Well, I liked it. As someone who hasn't played any CRPGs, DA][ got me into them because I wanted to see what Origins had been. It is to date the only DA game I've completed (I keep losing my will to finish Origins around Orzammar, and Inquisition is fucking boring right from the start ie Hinterlands or wherever that place is), and I thought it was a great story and setting even if the asset reuse was a bit much.
Portal 2:
Probably one of the best puzzle games of all time, and definitely the funniest (challenged only by its predecessor, and this one is much more haha funny), with an awesome single player (that still holds up) and an even better multiplayer (that I finally played for the first time because I finally found someone on Steam willing to play co-op), and pretty decent maps that are alive to this day! Think Portal 2 won most of the GOTY awards, and it had some tough competition.
L.A. Noire
A pretty decent experiment with shockingly good results, Team Bondi's only creation is a pretty good thriller (which revealed to me that I am very bad at reading people's expressions). It would never have won GotY, but it's a game that time has been kind on, and it tried something that was interesting and I would've loved to see more of.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings:
No, it's not as good as 3, but it's still pretty damned good. Lore fans would argue that it's story is perhaps better than Wild Hunt's, and even the very, very arcane combat mechanics, along with CDPR's typical generosity, have made it a game you should try if you loved 3.
Alice: Madness Returns:
Again, well, I liked it. I just think it's sad that we never saw more games like the Alice games.
Duke Nukem Forever
Haha, just kidding. Well, no year is free of shit.
Bastion:
Bastion is one of the most cheerful games I've played, which is a strange thing to say about a game based in the apocalypse (?). It was whacking stuff while a narrator gave live commentary, which was kinda balanced by how hard I found it to be.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution:
I was seven when the original Deus Ex came out, so I hadn't played it at all, but I did know it by reputation. So, of course, with all the hype for Human Revolution, I wanted to see what
I already know the torgue grip DPUH
Total Warhammer 2 is boss.
I was wondering if there was and updated 2019 list of Warhammer games on PC so I can learn about new stuff I don't know about and what's worth my time. Most things I find are over a year old and the reviews are a very mixed bag to research.
Is there a list like that I am just missing? What are some of your personal recommendations?
Thanks!
Credit where credit's due: I was listening to a recent Northernlion Isaac episode and he brought up how crazy it is that there are only three months left in the decade.
I was not into gaming at the start of the decade. The new experience of leaving college (and my home state) to start my career kept me busy and occupied with other things. The last game I remember really getting into before the end of the previous decade was Final Fantasy XII. From 2008 to around 2012, I don't think I touched a single game. Consequently, I missed a lot of amazing titles that came out during that time.
In 2012, I started really getting into building my own PC. Late that year, my wife bought me a PS3 and I replayed Final Fantasy VII (my favorite game ever) for what felt like the 10th time. Suddenly I fell back into gaming big time. The last seven years have been a deluge of incredible content that I've been lucky to experience.
For me, the game of the decade has to be Skyrim. For all its faults, Skyrim ushered in the new age of open-world games and paved the way for games like GTA V, The Witcher 3 and Breath of the Wild. I've never dropped hundreds of hours into a console version of a game only to pick up the PC version and triple my playtime. But that's what Skyrim did to me. Bethesda has taken a precipitously hard fall since Skyrim debuted, but 2011 is when they were at the top of their craft.
Indie games like The Binding of Isaac, Night in the Woods, Enter the Gungeon, Thumper, Celeste, What Remains of Edith Finch and especially Transistor also hold a special place in my heart. Transistor is without a doubt my indie game of the decade.
What is your game of the decade?
EDIT: Remember, the question is "What is your game of the decade?" Your choice doesn't have to rely on sales figures or industry influence alone. Put another way, the question could be "Which 2010's game had the greatest effect on you?" I picked Skyrim because of the combined effect it had in getting me into the ES series along with number of units sold.
EDIT:I confused OOT with MM sorryπ
I feel like a proud dad

With the recent official release of Dreams there are a lot of new creators relatively new to Game Design. So I've compiled a list of the best Game Design, or design related Youtube channels for new designers to Subscribe to. In truly no particular order, In my opinion, of those I know. here are 15:
Got a lot of free time on my hands this summer and was wondering what the top 20 or so games from 2010 onward I should watch are.
I've followed my own school very intensely and gone back and watched a lot of our best games. Now just wanna expand the repertoire and have a little more context.
I got the shotgun a long time ago, and I know they reworked it. Is it still one of the best?
