A list of puns related to "List of sinkholes"
I went to my local nerd store a few days ago with a friend and we spent a bit longer than we usually do in the RPG section. It used to be, back in the early 00s, that there were a veritable metric ton of different systems and splats out there on the market, and this store always bought a copy or two, even of the more obscure stuff.
I've got the DBZ RPG (Fuzion rules, completely unplayable, with rules for using action figures...), Furry Pirates (Surprisingly solid ship-to-ship naval combat rules), Species the RPG (Don't ask), and so on.
But somewhere along the way, at least in our store, things just got slowly replaced by D&D 4e, Pathfinder, Shadowrun (I think?) and some GURPS stuff.
It seemed like the market had been overfed on quirky games and decided to cut away the fat and focus on fewer systems. A few systems popped up every now and then, but it was nowhere near how it used to be. And when White Wolf finally went belly-up, switching over to Print on Demand stuff with OPP, I felt like an era was over.
...But now, the shelves are full of games! I'm pretty sure we've got Kickstarter (and similar crowdfunding initiatives) to thank for it, but regardless of the reason, I'm now seeing a lot more variety again. And it's also interesting that 5e also seems to be a bit more experimentative than 4e was? That might just be me though.
Do you guys share this perception? That we're working our way to (if we're not already in) a kind of Golden Era again? I'm not dunking on the previously mentioned games, they were around *for a reason*, but I'm relieved to see more experimentative stuff again. They're even reprinting old CYOA books! It brought a tear to my eye seeing Lone Wolf adventures stuff again.
So, after being in game nearly 90 days, I could not find the entrance to descend into the sinkhole. So, I used the mid-hole opening (with the non-interactable green tent cliffside) and was able to scale down the North-East inside of the sinkhole walls and reach the bottom safely. Actually beneficial because I could kill a few creatures in the bottom of the sinkhole by shooting them from above before I went all the way down.
Then I just found the way back out by reverse spelunking, and eventually made my way back to the surface (where I promptly marked the entrance).
It's actually a lot easier to go down the walls than go in from the designated entrance, a lot fewer creatures to kill.
I want to visit this sinkhole/crater at the sea shore but can't remember the name. Can you help me with this?
Me and a friend got stuck. They have the climbing axe, I donβt. What do we do?
It's 25 feet from our house (no basement), 2.5 feet deep and 3.5 feet wide. It is also about 25 feet from a runoff creek. Not sure how far it is from our septic system, but I think it's closer than 25 feet. The sinkhole has been there about a month and we haven't smelled septic.
