You can literally stretch an audio sample to be longer than the age of the universe.
It is NOT a great tool for slowing things down a little bit... It is a great tool for slowing sound down to an extreme.
http://hypermammut.sourceforge.net/paulstretch/
A decent example of how it sounds can be heard on this Beethoven's 9th Stretch Project. It was a project that stretched Beethoven's 9th into 24 hours and streamed it 24/7...
Here is the stretched audio of the opening....... Jump around to try and recognize parts...It does after all.. move verrrry slowly...

I downloaded a free version that was given to me. Do know if that version has all the expansions and multiplayer etc that the GOG Gold Edition has?
Hey guys! So I played a bit of OpenRA at a lan party at my university last night and I was blown away by it. So now I want to download it, but I have a concern. It says that one of the things you can let OpenRA do is copy the full content from both TibDawn and RA1 cd installs. I have the freeware versions of those physical discs. Will they work with OpenRA?
Stuff like Ford Simulator 1 - 6 (there is a Ford Simulator 7, but it requires Windows) and Chex Quest (it had a Windows installer, but ran in DOS [it is at least free now]).
Note: Even though Chex Quest technically was not distributed for free (it was a prize you got in a cereal box), I'm counting it because of how it was initially distributed and the fact it is now freeware.
as i started out animation , the only thing i thought was true was u need great softwares to make great animation so i downloaded n-no.s of pirated software and i am still using them but i know now that its not true + now there are so many great awsesome freewares out there that makes me thing i should just drop the cracks and download then as even that supports to improve
plus if i want to go all out as an animator in the future and open my own studio i was thinking i would be pretty broke at that time and will start out with freewares only
what do you guys think i should do ??
ps- i am 19
Good day everyone,
Does anyone have suggestions on any FEM software or freeware that I maybe able to use to analysis a shell structure. I have a project for campus involving the design of a silo and part of the task is use any software to complete an FEM and compare the results to results of analysis with first principals.
We use a software call prokon here in SA and will try and get a student version but wanted to try something used internationally as well to get familiar with the software. Since I can't really afford any software, I was looking for anything that may offer a trail or freeware that is widely used around the world.
Thanks in advance.
Could you suggest PC games in German, like quests or RPG with a lot of text to read ? If possible, with scripts in separate files to be able to translate them as text, to not to type text in translator from screen during gameplay.
I played Vollgaz/Full Throttle, but couldn't extract text from scripts files.
A cursory review of his profile on the org now shows his name is now "Delete Me" rather than "T_Fleck. Moreover, his uploads like KMSP, his Delta Up liveries for the FF A320, FF757, JAR A320, etc., are also not up on the org. Why were these taken down? Did he get into some copyright trouble or violation for having them up? Does anyone know what is going on?
Edit: He still posts sometimes and logs in. It's not like he has gone off the radar. The mystery is that the files are no longer on the org and messenger on his profile is disabled.
edit: I was trying to burn an original project that was edited in FCPX. FCPX can burn directly to Blu. I was deliberately avoiding this option and exporting a BR .img file instead, for burning multiple disks to avoid render time.
Turns out X is pretty quick burning discs, and my problem's solved.
A few years ago (I've been without a PC that can handle FSX for a while) I had a freeware P51 Mustang that had a plaque in the cockpit that read somewhere along the lines of "Warning! Flight simming can be addictive" I remember the plane was really high quality for a freeware model and I would love to find it again. thank you in advance for any help.
Pretty useful tool which can be downloaded directly from their website below.
Sophos also announced that they are looking to make it open source.
Edit: As pointed out by u/james28909 you will actually be directed to Sophos' website when downloading, which will ask for details such as a name, email address, job title and company name before downloading.
Platform : [PC] used to play it on Windows XP.
Estimated year of release : Between 1996 and 2003
Graphics/art style : Although the main character (the yellow ball) looks cartoony, the game itself is dark and every stage looks like a dungeon. The graphics were choppy if I remember correctly, 16-bits mostly.
Notable characters : You play as the yellow ball, but there's one specific enemy that scared the hell out of me as a kid: a giant creature which looks similar to "Mama Tattletail" from "Tattletail". In one certain stage, it just stands in the middle as an obstacle (Yes, it's 10 times taller than the yellow ball) and in order to get past it, you have to blow its head off (I'm not kidding). It appears again in the next stage, but this time, it's so giant that it actually covers one third of the screen. And if that wasn't scary enough, it also makes screeching sounds while it throws its minions all over the screen.
Notable gameplay mechanics : It's 2D a puzzle-platformer game, and every stage is only one screen. The goal is to get to the exit by bouncing on platforms and activating switches while avoiding spikes and pitfalls. (I don't remember anything else)
Other details : The game has creepy soundtrack and sound effects, especially the one when you lose a life.
Last note : I think the first letter of the game's name was T (maybe).
