A list of puns related to "List of crime writers"
Trying to find a comprehensive list of recommendations from the Crime Writers On crew.
I was honestly kind of shocked to whenever his name has come up on threads that there were those who donβt care for his writing. To me heβs one of the all time greats when it comes to writing Batman. For the way he writes the Joker/Batman dynamic alone heβs an all time great for me. Curious to hear other fans inputs.
I'd recommend the writers up until number 6 mainly (including 3.5 and 3.75). This list should keep you occupied for up to a year so enjoy.
https://m.fanfiction.net/u/102069/?a=b kinkor the knight is a good writer with a long saga of stories that are mainly hiccup and Astrid centric and have a lot of OCs. the stories are very mythological and good quality. uber sadly a inactive writer.
https://m.fanfiction.net/u/8004889/?a=s Fizzlemcschnizzle is another saga writer that has very character centric stories and has a more lighthearted and comedic tone. still posting.
https://m.fanfiction.net/u/6051962/?a=s toothlessgolfer is a writer that has 2 main sagas that both are kind of dark and are both really long. he also has a standalone story that is a httyd and lord of the rings crossover(it is a good story so dont be deterred). still posting.

EDIT: Thanks to all for the advice. I'm going to just list it as translating manga and will also be asking for some SFW work so I can provide examples if necessary. I'm going to keep this post up because I think I saw some comments about people in similar situations. There were some great comments in here so I hope it serves as some advice for any future hentai translators (lol). PS: This is one of my alts and I'll probably never use this one again, so any requests for sauce or translations will never be seen (sorry).
throwaway for obvious reasons, but I'm 100% serious.
This all started about 8 months ago when a weeb friend of mine asked if I could translate a specific hentai manga. As I'm fluent at a native level in both Japanese and English and have done some translation work before (mostly volunteer work for close family friends' businesses), I accepted. My translation came out better than I/we thought and before I knew it, word had spread among the weebs which led to me receiving multiple requests. At one point, someone suggested that I should send the translated versions to the writers/publishers and see what happens from there (note: The works I translated were from small groups/circles/creators so there were no prior translations). For the most part, I got positive reactions and thanks and even got requests from a couple of groups if I could do more. They actually offered to pay me but I refused because 1. I did it for fun, 2. I didn't need the money, 3. I didn't want to "take" money from these aspiring artists, and 4. I don't like responsibility and getting paid = having top-notch quality which I couldn't guarantee.
Over the course of 6~7 months, I've done about 50 translations ranging from images, to short stories, to long series. The reason why title is because I'm an aspiring international relations major and figured I could mention that I did some translating work. But, given the nature of the translated work, I'm a bit hesitant on how I should phrase it. Would appreciate any advice.
Preemptive edit: For those who suggest I do "real" translating work, the legit opportunities I found that are known/reputable to the schools I'm applying to required either a degree or certifications which I do not have (couldn't be bothered tbh).
Resource link: List of Writing Contests for Young Writers by NewPages - Elementary, Teen, and College
From the organization website:
>Where young writers can find print and online literary magazines to read, places to publish their own works, and legitimate contests. Some publishΒ onlyΒ young writers, some publish all ages for young readers. For specific submission guidelines, visit the publication's website. Ages can include elementary, teen, or early college. This is an ad-free resource: publications and writing contests listed here have not paid to be included. This guide is maintained by Editor Denise Hill, a teacher who loves to encourage young writers.
>
>Safety Matters! We expect sites listed in this guide to adhere to theΒ Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
>
>This is a select list of contests from reputable sources. There are many contests that charge fees, but for this resource, I have sought contests which mean to recognize and encourage young writers and do not charge reading or entry fees. Of those listed that do charge a fee, some provide a publication subscription in return as they are trying to gain new readers; that seems fair and the publishers are up front about it.
>
>Please avoid contests that tell you you've won and then want you to purchase expensive copies of the book in which you have been published. These types of "scam" contests publish hundreds, even thousands of entrants and profit greatly from the book sales. These contests take advantage of young writers and inexperienced writers of all ages.
>
>Also see the NCTE Guidelines for Contests, which is helpful for contest organizers who want to reach out to K-12 students and for teachers assessing the legitimacy of contests for their students.
NOTE: Many contest deadlines listed are out of date; however, most of these contests are annual. Check contest websites for up-to-date deadlines.
Any suggestions, or top 5 lists are welcome.
Though not obligatory, there's bonus points if you can add a reason, relevant links, or even sales figures.
If it helps then stick to those who work on crimes from WWII onwards, who are active in the field today. Documentary writer-investigators also count.

Hey, there.
To celebrate my first novel THE LITTLE SLEEP making its way back to bookstores, letβs talk about the book, my long-ish road to publication and re-publication, crime and horror fiction (Is there overlap? How are they related? How are they different? Why do you like parentheticals?)
I am the author of award-winning novels A Head Full of Ghosts, Disappearance at Devilβs Rock, The Cabin at the End of the World, and Survivor Song, as well as the short story collection Growing Things and Other Stories. My reviews, essays, and short fiction have appeared in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly online, and numerous yearβs-best anthologies.
