Jennifer was amazing. Movie struck me to the core. I read today that originally the cast was suppose to be Vince Vaughn and Zoey Dechanel. Thank God that didn't happen.

Up until this scene, the entire movie has mirrored his hyper condition. The pace has been choppy and unpredictable, which at times makes you completely breathless (maybe even without you noticing). Once he realises that she wrote the letter and not his wife, everything changes, himself included. Everything is now moving toward a goal with a different and calm feeling. It really has an effective impact on the viewer.
A) It's not the episode "Silver Lining"
B) They make fun of him because the silver lining clearly isn't something to be optimistic about, but was actually even worse
things arent always what they seem to be on the outside. I learned that. we met about a year about. I knew you were married with kids. happily I thought. I thought every thing was fine. you had a happy home and family. I thought you were lucky to find the one special person to spend the rest of your life with. I thought he was the luckiest guy to have met some one like you. Little did I know every thing I thought was wrong. I heard none of it is close to what was really happening and truth. there were things being said how you were not happy. you were not happy at home. you were not happily married. It was a big mistake in your heart. you regret it. You were not happy. you wanted a different life. you wanted changes. words were said you find love elsewhere. you go to dating sites and have sex with random men and women. you have sex with the staff employees men women it doesnt matter to you at your job to feel wanted be it included. you want to feel needed. you want to feel some thing any thing. you get no attention at home. No affection from him. you miss wanting to be loved. you missed wanting to be held. You miss the love. you miss the sex. you now get it from anyone man or woman. Any where you can get it. From any one. you blame him for it. you say its all his fault.
Its possible this is who you are. you want love from any one. Like the girl in silver linings playbook. what ever makes you happy. Be single if thats what you want. No guy should ever find out his wife is that person. Im glad I was never him.

First off, let me state on the record that I hate it too. If you're mad, I'm not here to talk you into loving the twist or even stop you from venting until you feel better. But I did want to make this thread for people who are actively trying to feel better about this, and think to themselves "maybe it won't be that bad." Because maybe it won't?
- Edge of Extinction will likely have at least some changes. There is a very good chance that Chrissy Hofbeck was correct, and S38 was an intentional trial run for the Edge of Extinction. IF this is the case, the idea was probably to tweak whatever didn't work. If production wasn't thrilled with the Chris Underwood win, it's doubtful that they keep things completely the same. Elements like idol give-aways or timing of entering the game may be altered.
- All Winners, all season long. I know, I know what you're thinking, this is one of the worst parts. No one is actually going home. But this also means that players like Tony and Sandra will still be around if they face early eliminations. EOE not ending at the Merge in S38 was arguably the worst part of the twist, but I'm betting they wouldn't have even done the twist again if this rule remained because they didn't want to lose their stars. I know it's not "pure Survivor" but at least we get to see our favorites all season long. While this didn't mean as much in S38 because of the airtime trouble, there is one piece of hope to cling to which would help tons:
- Episode Length/All Access. We know that Jeff Probst was toying with the idea of 90-minute or two-hour episodes. Personally, I feel like this is a bit of a longshot for the network. But we also know that Survivor consistently brings more ratings in than any other shows that they try to shoehorn in after it. If CBS would ever take the shot, it would be this season. The more likely scenario, is that we could get more content on CBS All Access this season. There's a lot of potential here and I'd recommend tweeting this idea to CBS now to help them realize the money they could make by offering it.
- It's unlikely that a person from edge wins again. I may eat my words here, but all these contestants just watched S38 play out. And they're some of the best ever. I'm willing to bet that the Edge returnees have a much tougher time, especially if the other contestants are concerned about a possible idol being given to them if they survive one elimination. Is it possible that I'm completely wrong? For sure. But S3
