This man :
- Lost his eyesight when he was two months old.
- Memorised Gita, the great epics, Vedas and works of Sanskrit grammar at an early age.
- Topped the examinations for Shastri (Bachelor of Arts) degree at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University.
- When offered free eye treatment in USA by Indira Gandhi, replied with a spontaneous Sanskrit verse, meaning thus :- "What is to be seen in this fallen world, which is false and filled with vices, is full of disputes and is governed by the sins of deceitful and wicked humans? Only Rama is worth seeing, whose flocks of hair cover his lotus-like face, who is completely blissful, who has the form of a child, and who is the giver of liberation."
- Topped the examinations for his Acharya(Master of Arts) degree in Vyakarana (grammar).
- Authored his PhD degree on 'Deliberation on the non-Paninian usages in the Adhyatma Ramayana' in just 13 days.
- Subsequently, declined the position as head of the Vyakaran department at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University and took initiation in Vaishnava Sampradaya.
- Appointed as Jagadguru Ramanandacharya at Kumbh Mela, 1989.
- Deposited in Ayodhya case to quote from the scriptures regarding the original site of Ram Janmbhoomi.
- Scholar of 14 languages and can speak 22 languages in total.
- Can't read/write because didn't wish to learn Braille.
- Founded Jagadguru Ramabhadracharya University, an institute of higher learning solely for disabled students.
- Released the first Braille version of Bhagvad Gita.
- Has authored more than 100 books and 50 papers, including four epic poems, Hindi commentaries on Tulsidas' Ramcharitmanas and Hanuman Chalisa, a Sanskrit commentary in verse on the Ashtadhyayi, and Sanskrit commentaries on the Prasthanatrayi scriptures.
- Is a katha artist.
