I am looking to compile a list of old-school Italian restaurants in Philly. Things that don't make the lists. White table cloth, kind of dated. Often the restaurant name is the last name. I want to leave the lists and try these old-school places.
Think Scannicchio's or Ristorante Pesto, not Le Virtu (which I love).
The List
Doesn't quite fit the bill, but maybe.
Watched the trailer for Jersey and canβt help but wonder why heβs never included in the list of top actors like Ranbir, Ranveer, Ayushman, Varun, etc.?
He has a phenomenal list of movies under his belt and has proven time and time again that he has great versatility: Jab We Met (RomCom), Chup Chup Ke (Comedy), Kaminey (Action), Haider (Drama), Udta Punjab (Dark Drama), Padmaavat (Period Drama), Kabir Singh (Angsty Drama).
I also believe heβd have been great in roles done by Ranveer and Ranbir (Gully Boy, Khilji, Rockstar). Also think he wouldβve been great in Sidβs role in Kapoor and Sons.
Iβm ignoring his off screen persona because I find Ranveer very irritating also and Ranbir isnβt charming to me either off screen. I donβt think Shahid is super charming off screen either but, he always does a phenomenal job on screen, just as Ranveer and Ranbir do.
So my question is why heβs never included in the list of current contemporaries as an actor? I find it interesting because every time he has a movie, heβs always commended and people love his films but he seems to be forgotten after a few months (unlike Ranbir or Ranveer or Varun).
All the times you say to yourself, man I havnt seen that actor or actress in a while. Or try to remember where you saw them last. You know these actors appreciate the work when their careers are slow or dying. Even people you wouldnt think would fall on hard times needing roles, you see them on Curb. Like Jon Hamm or Kaley Cuoco. Larry squeezes great stuff out of these actors, some long forgotten.
Like please Merryl, Leo, the girl form hunter games and Timothee shamalamadingdong donβt act like youβre not talking private jets to climate events.
Hi all!
I have not been able to stop thinking about how I'd not only like to act but to write films and I was wondering if any of you fellow Bellinghamsters would know of any good tips or places to start with.
Also thinking about getting a degree.
Any help or advice is more than welcome.
Thank you all!
I can't find a list of all the VAs for the game anywhere
To me its Kareena in Talaash. She played the role so effortlessly & with such subtle expressions but it was not at all appreciated much with awards or by people.
Looking for inspiration for how to play the Drowsy Chaperone character Aldolpho AND HIS ACTOR, Roman Bartelli, a silent film star, and a raging alcoholic. To me Bartelli says "Italian American" (though do tell me if that's generalising too much, I'm from the UK), and I was wondering if there are any famous old-school Italian American actors who I could study to learn there mannerisms while "out of character".
Von Flores - Flores played Joseph Santos, the father of Manny Santos in Degrassi: The Next Generation along with being a main cast member in the series Earth: Final Conflict from 1997 to 2002.
Allen Keng - Although he does have a long acting history, he is better known for his stunt performances and fighting choreography in TV shows and movies such as Titans, The Man In The High Castle, Suicide Squad, Pacific Rim, and also did stunt performances for the game Far Cry 6.
Brendan Wall - Brendan played Inspector Michael Decker in the show Murdoch Mysteries, which also has had a number of actors in ACI playing various roles.
Mark Caven - Although he has played numerous roles in television, he is better known for his work on the BBC shows The Comic Strip Presents and The Glam Metal Detectives.
Rod Wilson - Rod's history mainly lays in doing voice acting in animated TV shows such as Wild C.A.T.S: Covert Action Teams, X-Men: The Animated Series, Avengers: United They Stand, Rescue Heroes, and also has done English dubbing for the anime Air Master.
Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll - Rodrigo has largely played smaller roles but as of late he has starred in various sketch comedies such as Decoys, Baroness Von Sketch Show, and Kim's Convenience.
Denis Akiyama - Before becoming an actor, Denis was a child psychologist. When he did become an actor, he has starred in a litany of animated programs such as Rupert, The Adventures of Tintin, Wild C.A.T.S: Covert Action Teams, Sailor Moon, Little Bear, Power Stone, Toot & Puddle, Mr. Meaty, Franny's Feet and so on. Acting-wise, he has mostly appeared in television programs such as H2O, She's The Mayor, and Carter. He also played Professor Toru Iwatani (creator of Pac-Man) in the Adam Sandler movie Pixels.
Ho Chow - Ho Chow has been in a number of TV shows across his career such as The Sopranos, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Testees, The Line, Bob & Doug, Fathers Support Group, and (albeit uncredited) The Boys.
Andrew Gillies - Gillies credits in television include Code Name: Eternity, The Associates, Redwall, Paradise Falls, Orphan Black, and 12 Monkeys.
Darrin Baker - One of Baker's first credits is likely his most prolific- He played Jayce in Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors but also acted in another 80s cartoon- C.O.P.S. Nowadays he can be seen on shows such as Five Days at Memorial, Painkiller, Murdoch Mysteries, Kid's Town, a
... keep reading on reddit β‘He might have had glasses. He looks like a larger Chris Elliot. He was in tons of movies, usually smaller, nerdy, neckbeard type roles. He reminds me of if The comic book guy from the Simpsons morphed with Chris Elliot.
He was in so many movies and I can't think of his name, nor any of the movies he is in. I'm hoping this description is enough for someone out there! Google has been no hero.
Ideally also with who the actors will play, but if that isnβt possible it could be nice to start a theory thread and try to ascertain who they might be playing?
James "TheOdd1sOut" Rallison as Bendy
Jeff Goldblum as Boris The Wolf (Potrayed as more of a Brian Griffin character then a Goofy character)
Hailey βSquigglyDiggβ Lain as Alice Angel
Aaron Landon as Sammy Lawerence
Dan Castellaneta as Charley
Clancy Brown as Barley
Eric Bauza as Edgar
TheMeatly as Henry and Wally Franks
Note: Showdown Bandit is Rumored to appear, but probably not due to this show being focused on Bendy.
Spoilers ahead for whole season.
Not sure where to start and I feel almost nostalgic. The alternate version of 'Nuje vulimme na speranza' that played as the final song when everyone was heading to their ending was a perfect song to end the series. It was nice to see Genny and Ciro reminisce about what they could have been in season 1 but did not become. As Genny said they wanted to take on the world but the world destroyed them. Both of them died together killed by the thing they built and lived by. It was a good ending and the only ending for them. Both of them done horrible things within every season for power and it caught up to them.
The death of the Widow was satisfying. I enjoyed her character alot but she was just driven by revenge and hate. Lil Monk death felt more satisying. He was a snake and he did not live long. Mistrael death was shocking I did not expect Ciro to kill him. The deaths I really is saden by is Pitbull and PurenSimple. I wanted them to survive damn it.. Enzo seem to have died for nothing as Ciro never seemed to had plans to kill Genny. He only wanted him removed from power humiliated then go away.
Bittersweet ending. The magistrate and his son survived it which am glad and little Pietro made it out they are the few innocents of the show who survived. Azzura though.. felt like she got away pretty easy. Anyways from season 1 to 5 this was a great series and despite me sometimes disagreeing with plots its one of the best shows I have ever watched. The actors and actress did great and the writters made a great story based on some part of reality. One of the best shows out there and i will sure miss waiting for more seasons
