A list of puns related to "List of Boston Celtics accomplishments and records"
Thanks to the London trip, Celts are the first to get there. Other teams like Pels, Clips, Pistons and Lakers are a week's worth of games behind us.
We've got a lot of scoreboard watching nights ahead of us, friends!
For those unfamiliar, a LiAngelo is when a player goes 0/0/0/0/1 with only a steal, in a game on the road. Congratulations to Shane Larkin
The New York Knicks also snuck in with a record under .500, ending the season 39-43. For comparison to the following season, the Cavaliers also missed out on the playoffs with a 42-40 record, this time losing out on head to head tiebreaker with the New Jersey Nets.
2005-06 is the first season LeBron made the playoffs with the Cavaliers earning 4th seed with a 52-30 record. It should be noted they would have been 3rd seed over the 49-33 Nets, however the Nets were division winners and claimed the automatic third slot. The 5th seed Wizards the Cavs played were 42-40.
While Jordan made the playoffs with a losing record his first three seasons, there was a legitimate opportunity for LeBron to have done so as well his rookie season.
The Celtics youtube channel posted all of the individual media day interviews, so for those of you who didn't get to follow along I aggregated all of the links. Here ya go,
20/42 total 3PT%. Everyone is on fire and the Bucks defense has been questionable. Celtics lead by 93-78 at the end of the third.
Just heard this stat after coming back down 22 against the 76ers in London.
Are we back in 2010? Anyone else feel nostalgic seeing these two franchises at the top of the standings?
Both teams are also respectively 1 & 2 in point differential. Lakers at 9.9 and Celtics at 9.2.
Doc was traded for an unprotected Clippers 1st round pick on June 25, 2013. He became Head Coach, but he did also get roster control eventually as President of Basketball Operations. Something he would not have gotten in Boston obviously.
Hello!
Hope you guys are staying safe! So I spent the last week re-watching the whole season (you can do it now as well thanks to free League Pass), and got almost 1,000 clips to make some fun compilations during the NBA hiatus. I'll make 29 videos overall, including the best bench celebrations, best clutch plays, best Brad Stevens ATO plays and much, much more.
Today's video...

Hopefully this will help you during this rough times without the NBA and Celtics basketball. Please stay home and take care guys! Thank you for all the good words, too. Also, let me know if you want to support my work :)
Kyle Lowry: 20.8/5.0/7.6/1.2 on 60.0 TS%
Kemba Walker: 22.5/3.9/5.2/0.9 on 58.4 TS%
Lowry is a better defender as well. The Raptors have Siakam, Powell, Gasol, and more injured, but he is still leading the Raptors to multiple wins over .500 teams. Some notable wins include the 30 point comeback vs Dallas and the win yesterday vs Boston where basically all our bigs fouled out. Despite losing Kawhi and Danny Green in the offseason, having our best player injured, and numerous other injuries, the Raptors are still a top 4 seed and only 1 game behind the Celtics.
The Celtics have missed Hayward for part of the season, but Kemba still has a healthy Jaylen Brown, Tatum, etc. Kemba is a great player and should be an All-Star but Lowry has clearly outplayed him this season.

On March 11th, the NBA season was suspended with only four team officially having clinched a playoff spot:
Theoretically, these are the only four teams that can be considered in championship contention, since every other team could have presumably dropped out of the playoff picture in the remaining games of the season. As such, these are our four seeds for the championship bracket.
ROUND ONE, SERIES ONE β (1) Milwaukee Bucks vs. (4) Boston Celtics
These teams play each other twice in the first round of our championship bracket. Giannis gives Milwaukee hope with 27/15.5/6 averages over the two games, but Kemba Walker puts the Celtics on his back with an astounding 36/8.5/4.5 in the series. Boston puts up a strong 11 point victory in the first matchup on October 30th, and Milwaukee fails to match with only a 5 point win in the second meeting on January 16th. Point differential is the only obvious tiebreaker I can think of and clearly the only way to compare these two teams and decide a winner.
Boston advances.
ROUND ONE, SERIES TWO β (2) Los Angeles Lakers vs. (3) Toronto Raptors
These two teams conveniently only matched up once in the regular season, with Toronto prevailing in a thrilling 113-104 victory back on November 10th. Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka both miss the series with what I can only presume to be coronavirus, but Toronto sends out a balanced attack with 7 different players in double figures. LeBron proves to be in LeDecline as he finishes the series averaging only 13 points (...plus 13 rebounds and 15 assists...) on .333/.000/.500 shooting splits.
Toronto advances.
2020 NBA CHAMPIONSHIP β (3) Toronto Raptors vs. (4) Boston Celtics
GAME ONE, OCTOBER 25th
Boston starts the series at home for some reason, and the Celtics are locked and loaded. Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Kemba Walker all come out swinging, each scoring 22+ points in a three-headed attack. Pascal Siakam gives it his all with 33 points, while Kyle Lowry makes a miraculous recovery from coronavirus(?) and adds 29/4/7 of his own. Boston scores 36 points in the fourth quarter in a come-from-behind victory, 112-106.
Boston leads the series 1-0.
GAME TWO, DECEMBER 25th
The two teams head north of the border to Toronto for Game 2, and Fred VanVleet steps his game up on the brink of eli
... keep reading on reddit β‘Welcome back everyone! Time to play some Mavs Bingo vs the Celtics tonight!
Here are the rules!
In this thread, feel free to reply with something that you think will happen during the game. Try to avoid something that's obvious ("I bet Luka will score a point", "I think that Carlisle looks like Jim Carrey") but rather things that you see happening but isn't guaranteed, ("Kleber blocks 2 different players," "Someone hits a buzzer-beater at the end of a quarter").
Sometime before the game, I'll collect the top comments as upvoted by you guys and make them into a bingo card. I think the free space will usually be "Mavs get the W," although last year I did make exceptions during special occasions!
During the game, we'll watch and see if as a subreddit, we can hit Mavs Bingo for the night!
Could you guys submit each suggestion as its own individual comment, rather than grouping multiple into 1 comment? I'm trying to get a lot of users involved, and so I think it would be best if each suggestion was considered separately.
Note on Injured Players: For those people who want to make suggestions involving a player that might be out of the rotation, feel free to add a back-up suggestion in your comment that doesn't involve the player out of the rotation. That way I can use the backup if it's confirmed that your player is out.
If you're interested, please feel free to add your comments, and let's have some fun!
Happy to see some money going into the Boston community! Great win tonight, everyone looked fantastic.
