A list of puns related to "Let Me Eat Your Pancreas (film)"
I just watched this movie and it really bugs me. Although it really moved me, I think this really lacked of climax or in a sense that story is somehow lacking a part where she died because of what happened.
My question for all of you guys is: What are your thoughts about what could've happened if Sakura Yamauchi didnt get stabbed when she was on her way to meet Haruki Shiga. What if they had their last travel together and then she died eventually with her sickness. It doesnt really makes sense she died from an incident. Or is it just me that cant accept what happened..
"This isn't a story about dying; it's one about finding out what it means to be living". This is what the YouTuber Gigguk said in his recent video about "I want to eat your pancreas". I came to the same conclusion as Gigguk did, stated in the quote.
I did reach it through a different route than him though, in the sense that what hit me in this film is different from what hit him. Though different aspects of the story hit us and impacted us differently we reached the same conclusion of what the story was trying to say. Finding out what it means to be living, how important the time you have really is and how you use it cause you never know how long you have.
You don't know how, when or where it'll end and a proper farewell is far from guaranteed. Which just makes it all the more important to value the time we've got and use it in a way we won't regret, with the people we hold dear.
Personally this film is my favourite piece of media ever and it hit me multiple times and in multiple different ways, and it all resonated with me, my experiences and thoughts, which is why I value it so highly. It made me think about stuff that isn't easy to think about.
In the end it lead me to value the time we have, and the time other people have which we can spend with them a lot more. That in turn has affected how I think about life, the actions I take, and how I handle the connections I have in life.
Whether it's doing something you'd prefer not to in order to spend time with loved ones or going out of your way to repair, maintain or establish new connections, this film has impacted me in ways like that and more. Watching that film on a whim is one of the best and most impactful small choices I've made in life. That's some of the reasons why I love this film and in turn Gigguk's video.
It IMO perfectly summarised the film and what it's about without spoiling the experience. And the clips from the film combined with his personal feelings poured into this video and so on put me in tears.
So therefore I'd like to say: Watch Gigguk's video and watch this film, not necessarily in that order. And if you do, I surely hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did and that it'll impact you in positive ways as well, regardless of what you exactly take away from it and how it got you to that point.
This film is very important to me and has lead me to make choices in life that have made me happier and lead me to value life and connections more than ever, and it may do the same to yo
... keep reading on reddit โกI just watched this anime today and I really didn't find anything special about it... Why you may ask because it offers generic school settings with rather superficial teenage characters. The only thing it tries to accomplish is to toy with its viewer's emotions to the point of some cheap tearjerking. Those who are okay with this will most definitely see how the movie accomplishes exactly all the things it wants to. Like when I finished the anime I didn't even grief or sadness also I didn't even cry at all. I want to hear what you guys think about this and the overall anime in general. I guess I might get a lot of hate but oh well.
Thanks for replying!
Hello, I was wondering if anyone know where I can watch this anime. The Blu-ray was released a week ago and so far I haven't seen it. How long do they usually post it after the Blu-ray release?
Hi all,
After many recommendations to watch this film. I finally watched it last night.. and wow is all I'm saying.
Although you knew Sakura was eventually going to die... You didn't expect it to happen the way it did.
Takahiro and Sakura how they grew close was incredible... They both had huge impacts on each other.
I am just gutted that Sakura and takahiro didn't get to confess their true feelings for each other in person.
I thought the film taught a lot of life lessons within it.
I for one loved the film and would like to thank everyone who recommended this film.
Hi, guys! I hope you can take a look and proofread my short articles for Instagram and blog. I would appreciate any type of suggestion! (I try to follow AP style.) Thanks :)

I've heard the title, but I wanna know what its about. Can someone tell me what it's all about without spoiling it? Also, is the light novel the best way to experience it? Thanks!
I will never be the same what is this I wasn't planning to cry so much but I just couldn't hold it in, especially the part "can I cry now?" I started tearing up crazy time.
This movie is so good, so real even if it's animated I never cried over a show/movie like that before in my life I guess this type of posts have been done already over 1000 times but I just can't hold it in I have to share it.
So, like I said, Iโve been doing an emotional slice of life tour all Easter weekend and at this point Iโm lowkey dehydrated with no more tears left. This film wasnโt quite as sad as the aforementioned ones, and I still think I prefer A Silent voice, but it still tugged right on the heartstrings. This is easily one of the freshest films Iโve seen in a very long time. The animation and art style might be the greatest Iโve ever seen, the soundtrack is heavenly, the writing is awesome, pacing is awesome, it just was a bloody good ride and I enjoyed every second of it
My only complaint is I wish I couldโve got a bit more romance out of it, maybe a kiss at the end, similar complaint I had with a silent voice. Idk if they flush it out more in the LN or if it stays basically the same, but Iโve ordered it from amazon and itโll be here tomorrow so Iโm excited to get that. Thank you to the people from the various subs Iโve visited lately who suggested I check this out, itโs caused me a bit of headache as Iโll have to reorder my top 5 anime on MAL now but itโs a good problem to have! 10/10
Have the blu ray coming later on this week and I canโt wait to rewatch it again
On to Garden of words, Clannad and Anohabara now
Edit: garden of words finished
Just found out that the author of the ln of let me eat your pancreas released a sequel to people that attended the movie in theaters. Do any of you guys know what was in that book/can provide a summary or do you guys know of a english translation of that book?
Iโm currently on a binge of slice of life anime films that Iโve wanted to watch for some time. Ive seen Your Lie in April, I want to eat your pancreas, A silent voice and now Iโm on to your name, garden of words and anohana. Of the ones Iโve seen, this was by far my favourite and in my opinion the best. Probably because of how realistic it is. From the very beginning, the opening 10 minutes I knew Iโd be into this film in a way that I wasnโt with the others.
I was gripped by how horrible Ishida treated Shouko and at some points I legit had to pause the film because I was so angry at how such a kind and sweet girl was being treated, all because she was different. And then the fact that despite being the one being bullied, she still apologised to ishida and even cleaned his desk, yet he was still being a cunt to her. โIโm trying my bestโ when they were in the classroom, legit made me cry
That Ueno chick is a straight cunt and Kawai is the snakeish type you want to avoid in life, had to pause the film during a lot of their scenes too.
I loved the storytelling and the way the film laid out the narrative, it felt like a genuine film, as opposed to an anime film if that makes sense, YLIA had a lot of over the top melodramatic animation and scenes whereas this felt like I was just watching a regular film in anime form
I do wish we couldโve got to see a romance between Ishida and Shouko develop more after the I love you confession, but who knows, maybe that leaves the door open for more Light novels/another film. Great film, 10/10 on MAL and in my top 5 anime
Before I laughed at the title.
After I knew the context I was crying. I can't get close to laughing at the title now.
EDIT: I mostly mean how is your reaction to the title before the film, and after the film knowing why the title was used. I personally think the title is the perfect title for the film.
i watched it recently and i really loved it suggest me some anime like that
