If anyone in this subreddit is familiar with the NFL, they may have realized that I borrowed the Seattle Seahawk defense's nickname. Although I may be more of a Patriots fan myself, I digress.
I thought the name would be appropriate for this deck, which requires staunch defense of your troublemakers, either through multiple flips or controlling your opponent's flip card for the faceoff.
Flip with the Legion of Boom V2
Key Cards:
Picnic Lunch - This will be the centerpiece of this deck. It basically ups your flip amount for your total power to go through the roof during faceoffs. Having those extra flips will also be helpful for Eagle and Nurse Redheart.
Apple Juice Break - Delay further by denying your opponent the faceoff. It's as good as Queen Chrysalis.
Hoofwrasslin' and Staring Contest combo with Night Watch - The literal security guard to stop your opponent's flips from becoming too crazy. Why not dump a weakling 1 powered friend on top of your opponent's deck to ensure victory or slap away the most powerful friend back into the hand?
Note: If playing multiple Hoofwrasslins in a row, use the last one on a high powered friend.
Troublemakers:
Hydra - Yes, I would like a ridiculously strong troublemaker. Best played around midgame, where you have Picnic Lunch or Apple Juice Break at the ready.
Wild Manticore - A built in extra flip. Best played early where you can use it to stall and get Picnic Lunch out for more ridiculousness.
Chimera - Maybe an unorthodox choice, but fits with the theme of taking away an opponent's confidence at attacking this troublemaker. Even if Chimera is beaten, the exhausted friends are now prime targets for Hoofwrasslin' and Staring Contest.
Other notes:
I did not include Varmint Barricade in this deck due to the fact it slowed the overall strategy down.
2/3 of the cards are at least a flip of 3. Enjoy those overpowered flips.
If you go over your home limit after a problem faceoff, home priority goes to: 1x Night Watch, (Nurse Redheart or Eagle), Yellow friends

Seattle Seahawks β 43rd Season, Ninth under Pete Carroll, Seventh under Russell Wilson
Division: NFC West
2017 Record: 9-7
The Seattle Seahawks completely overhauled the coaching staff under Pete Carroll. Still the oldest coach of the NFL, Pete Carroll will have to integrate a mostly new collection of assistants into his coaching style. While some might say that these coaching staff changes are a few years too late (mostly for Darrell Bevell and Tom Cable), it is exciting to see change in some way. Whether it is positive or not remains to be seen.
Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, defensive coordinator Kris Richard and offensive line coach Tom Cable, who was also assistant head coach and run-game coordinator, were all fired. They've been replaced by Brian Schottenheimer (new offensive coordinator), Ken Norton Jr. (new defensive coordinator) and Mike Solari (offensive line coach).

#WEEK 6 POST-GAME REPORT: SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
##-----> SEAHAWKS QUESTIONNAIRE!!! <-----
#NEWS
The Panthers were awoken to the fire alarm in their hotel at 5:40am in Seattle the day of the game. Our very own /u/JCoxRocks then made this bold (debatably) prediction.
New sub flairs were released this week thanks to /u/onetown and /u/extric!
The Panthers are finally seeing some recognition as they make it to #4 on the NFL Power Rankings.
We also got to see Stephen A. Smith eat crow after looking like a doofus!
Shaq Thompson has a minor MCL injury to his right knee, doubtful to see him on the field against the Eagles this week.

It's against the rules and more importantly because you know them sorry ass toddlers are in our sub anyway. So if you wanna make fun of the Toots do it here!!!! NFC WEST CHAMPIONS LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!!!
There are a huge amount of similarities between the two teams:
Offense: A power-running offense with a limited passing game held back by a poor offensive line but elevated by an athletic and fundamentally sound second-year quarterback.
A second year quarterback with great athleticism and fundamentals whose draft stock fell only because of size/frame. This quarterback came in to replace a talented veteran, and although he had a slow and somewhat rocky start, he developed each week and showed incredible talent. All signs point to him coming into his own in his second year.
A power-running offense led by an aggressive, untackle-able all-pro running back. Rushing style is downhill and physical -- defenses will stack the box to prevent any inside run, and the RB will truck through defenders anyway and use their speed to extend the play on the outside or once through the d-line.
An offensive line that's one of team's biggest weak points, better at run blocking than pass blocking. Looks better than they actually are thanks to their all-pro running back but has some glaring holes in pass protection. The starting left tackle was a top-six pick and was once a pro-bowler but has since regressed.
The starting tight end was a pro bowler two years ago, and while he hasn't quite maintained that elite play, he's proven very effective as both a blocker and a receiver.
A pretty lackluster wide receiver corps featuring 1) a disappointing former-first round pick who, despite being a pro-bowl kick returner, has yet to grasp receiver fundamentals [Percy Harvin-Cordarrelle Patterson], 2) an experienced receiver brought in through trade on an expensive (~$8-9M/year) contract [Sidney Rice-Greg Jennings], 3) a receiver who was snubbed by the draft (either as an UDFA or as a 7th rounder) but turned out to be surprisingly talented [Golden Tate-Charles Johnson], 4) a speedy 4th year receiver with good hands but doesn't get as much playing time due in part to his 5'10" height [Doug Baldwin-Jarius Wright].
Defense: Led by a fiery, defensively-minded head coach that spent years working magic as an NFL defensive coordinator, this defense is young, aggressive and fierce against the pass and features the best free safety in the league, an aggressive shut-down corner, and a star linebacker coming off a DROY campaign.
Malik McDowell, DT, Michigan State:
You can't talk about the Seahawks' first pick in the last draft without talking about their overall draft strategy. That strategy has been both praised and criticized as the team passed repeatedly on first round talent options at its biggest weakness, OL. With only Bolles off the board at OT, they traded down twice, passing up chances at Ramczyk and Robinson. They also elected to not take Forrest Lamp when they finally did select Malik McDowell in the early 2nd round.
I honestly like the draft strategy, though. It was fairly obvious that the Hawks didn't have a strong grade on any of that OL talent since they passed up multiple opportunities to take them. You can definitely argue with the team's ability to evaluate OL talent after OL coach Tom Cable's multiple failures, but there's no doubt that Seattle got exactly what they wanted in the draft. And that was McDowell.
McDowell's combine results weren't out of this world, about middle of the road for the 51 participating defensive linemen. McDowell's physical prowess was never really in doubt though, as he showed the ability to completely take over games at times. What was questioned: his effort, as McDowell did not appear to be consistently productive or "high motor." On the one hand, McDowell was surrounded by poor talent, routinely double teamed, used as a decoy, and injured later in the season. On the other, he appeared to give poor effort at times, particularly when Michigan's season was already over. He was described as "uncoachable" and didn't impress many teams in combine interviews.
This Samuel Gold breakdown on McDowell is a pretty good summary if you're looking for a quick video. As Gold says, McDowell's dominating game vs Notre Dame shows his talent and the reasons the Seahawks took him as their first draft pick, but there are also red flags surrounding his college effort. Ultimately, McDowell will need to give proper effort to succeed at the NFL level, and it's not a sure thing. It's a risky pick--but that's why I'm so fond of the draft strategy. Even if McDowell busts, the team traded down multiple times and racked up several other picks instead of just staying put and grabbing him at 26;

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS β 41st Season, 7th under Pete Carroll, 5th under Russell Wilson
Division: NFC West
Record: 10-5-1 (4-2-1 div)
The Seattle Seahawks, fresh off a promising off-season without major drama, had a somewhat disappointing season. While most NFL fans would be satisfied with double digit wins, a division title, and a playoff win β the Seahawks were poised to contend for a second title under Pete Carroll, but injuries, drama, and ultimately hubris regarding the state of the offensive line derailed what could have been another year as a serious NFC contender. With most of the βcoreβ locked up for the next two years, the Seahawks are still dangerous, but perhaps do not inspire the same level of fear as they once did.
Welcome to the Seahawks post for the 32 Teams/32 Days series. Iβm /u/King_Rajesh, and will be your guide through the 2016 Seattle Seahawks season. I would like to thank both /r/Seahawks and /r/NFL for being bastions of original content and analysis in the wasteland of internet football communities. I would also like to thank Carlow East and The Central Bar for being the best places to watch Seahawks football in New York City.
