A list of puns related to "LeapFrog Epic"
Cant open Amazon App Store on LeapFrog Epic. It asks me to sign in but when I click it appears to open a new window that immediately disappears. Also I am getting "Security Certificate" warnings whenever I open anything web based. I've tried restarting, and turning WiFi on/off with no luck.
TIA for any suggestions!
I know how to unlock the bootloader on the Leapfrog Epic tablet. All u have to do is press power + vol up on the tablet and hold until the boot options manager comes up. Hope you like this solution!
Title says all. Wonder if it is at all possible to unlock the BL on this device running off an MT8127. LeapFrog flat-out refuses to spill the beans for us, and short of coaxing them or an employee, is it possible to modify the preloader to allow unsigned images?
OK, so a bit of a rant, though for one I gotta give LeapFrog some credits to this. Sure, repairs are a service centre away, and the main market for this device are kids and their parents, but what about the more tech-savvy parents (e.g. geeks or tinkerer types) who'd certainly re-purpose or service their kids' Epics either because it broke down or gone on a boot loop for some reason?
You see the main thing with this is the preloader, or other words the bootloader, is locked from tampering, making it next to impossible to use custom ROMs or kernels. You can somehow subvert this by editing just the system.img offline assuming you extracted it off your device, or in the case of backups, backing up the whole ROM image, boot/recovery and other images included, to a single ROM_0 file, and flashing it back using the hidden Write Memory feature in SP Flash Tool.
The problem is when you need to replace boot.img with a different one - you simply can't. Flashing unsigned images gives out a BROM 6045 (S_SECURITY_SECURE_USB_DL_IMAGE_SIGN_HEADER_NOT_FOUND) error, and if you did manage to do so through the aforementioned Write Memory tool, at most you're stuck with the LeapFrog logo unless a kernel the preloader seems happy with is flashed back.
Granted, I see the reason why LeapFrog had Quanta Computer (i.e. the OEM responsible for manufacturing the Epic) lock the thing down to prevent unauthorised tampering and/or security issues, but what's the point of sending my friend a CD-ROM of the kernel sources? Sure, they'd say it's for auditing purposes or merely for compliance with the GPL, but as the company has had a history of being chill with tinkerers, why wouldn't they at least offer an option to unlock it? It may be of little use to an average parent, and it's moot as you can develop apps without having to poke into the low-level internals, but why not, if one's going to unlock an Epic's bootloader in good faith? We've seen the likes of is0-mick loading up random stuff on their LeapFrog devices, and the lads over at Emeryville doesn't seem to object much - in fact, a company engineer stopped by the Spiffy Hacks forums and told his tale about the LeapTV.
If any one of you LeapFrog employees, like engineers or perhaps just staff members, are reading this right now, I'd be more than happy to have a talk with you. I do understand if you want nothing to do from this especially in this day and age where even electronic toys are scrutinised for security issues, but thi

I am assuming it shouldn't be an issue since it's android base but I was wondering if anyone did any developments for it. Thanks and happy new year.
any other parents whose kids have a leapfrog epic having any issues with purchasing apps and then when you check on parents account the order says its completed but the app isnt on the tablet? maybe it takes a while to start download? not sure this is the second one ive bought last time i emailed support then later that night it was on there does it take awhile or are there just issues and i have to email support again?
โPeople often point to Ruโudamoโoโs Purge and like to claim he exposed all the atrocities of the Lanaktallan have been brought to the light. They conveniently ignore that all he did was target those responsible for the war with humanity. We spent the past hundred million years treating the sapients of the galaxy as little more than intelligent livestock. There are countless secrets that time and the Executors have buried deeply; and the billions of Council loyalists hoping to bide their time until they can resurrect it would prefer to die than to allow our ancient crimes to be brought to the light. But, weโre the Curators of the Free Herd and whatโs done in the dark will be brought to the light - whatever the cost.โ - u/Manifest_Author, from "Sins of Empires"

Hi everyone, Bob here,
This is going to be part 2 of the series where we check out how things are lining up. I really feel like our wrinkles are coming together nicely with the DD we are independently doing, and arriving at very similar conclusions. In this chapter, We will be reviewing some choice DD and making some really neat connections.
https://preview.redd.it/39nrny3r9mb81.jpg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c08fc380d92ef16c0cadfb584169ad23e47e9c59
PS, get jacked, because this DD has been reviewed by some of the greatest wrinkly minds I know of before posting. Hope you learn something, and gain some wrinkles yourself - god knows we need โem.
I will be breaking this up into a couple posts because reddit is retarded - so retarded you cannot post over 40,000 characters per post. I guess they never anticipated the level of autism we could muster. ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ. I hope you enjoy the first part of this series.
In This Chapter:
Without setting out to do so, I completed 52 games in both 2020 and 2021. Since the pandemic began, I've been making an effort to spend more time reading or playing games, and less time on Reddit, for my mental health. So this is basically a list of what I've finished so far during the pandemic. Happy to answer any questions you have about games or platforms!
1943: The Battle of Midway (1987, Nintendo Switch) โญโญโญ Being a vertical shooter, this was annoying to play on the television, but great with the flip-grip. It was fun, but I really cheesed it with a whole lot of virtual quarters.
Abzu (2016, Nintendo Switch) โญโญ I bought this game for "free" with leftover gold points while it was on sale, and I'm glad I did. While visually interesting, it was slow, and there weren't any real puzzles or story (until the very end). I don't know why this game didn't click for me, but I found myself just wanting it over with. To be fair, I played it while in a depressive state.
Accounting+ (2019, Oculus Quest 2) โญ I can't recommend this game, especially not for $12. I know they were trying to be funny, but I mostly just found it annoying. Mostly you just stand around and wait for characters to finish yelling at you.
Adventure (1980, Atari VCS) โญโญโญ The world's first adventure game! And maybe also first mystery game? As in it as a mystery trying to figure out what to do without reading the instruction manual. We had a pretty fun time with it, probably the best Atari 2600 game I've played so far.
Aery: Little Bird Adventure (2019, Atari VCS) โญ This game really chugged on the VCS, despite being so simple. In addition, the aesthetic was difficult to look at with the saturation cranked up so high, the story wasn't really anything at all, and the game play wasn't exactly engaging. It's insane that there are FOUR of these games on this sparsely populated e-shop.
Among the Sleep (2015, PC via Epic) โญโญโญ This is a short game with a unique perspective (first-person as a two-year-old) that does a great job at making you feel scared or uncomfortable.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons (2020, Nintendo Switch) โญโญโญโญ I played a TON of this game when it first came out, stopped for a couple months, and then played a ton again. I actually beat it before I was ready- I still have things to do! After a few sessions this becomes a great game to play while doing something else, like listening to a podcast. I'll have to revisit it sometime to check out the updates and

Kela smiled as she sat in her room snacking on some salted smeplies and sipping some tea. James had been on the phone for over an hour now.
Rather than spending the previous night relaxing and cleaning the road off of himself, James had spent it reading the messages that his people had sent him while they'd been traveling. His phone had spent nearly twenty minutes dinging and buzzing repeatedly as they'd neared the castle. As it had, James's face had quickly gone from one of happiness, to one of dread and anguish.
Eventually, he'd simply turned it off and slid it into one of his bottomless bags. Then he'd begun smiling. But it had been obvious to everyone that the smile was fake and very, very strained.
Amina had asked him if everything was alright. James had simply assured her that it would be fine. He could read them when they got to their rooms and were able to relax. Then she'd whispered something into his ear. James had smiled some more, genuinely this time, and simply said that it would be a better idea if they put that off for the night. Amina had looked disappointed for a moment, but then had nodded understanding.
And now, Kela was watching as he spoke with his commander on the phone. He'd taken off his medallion, so she couldn't understand him. But as a captain of the guard she knew what it looked like when a low ranking soldier was on the receiving end of a tongue lashing.
If James's expressions and pacing were any indication, then he was receiving one of epic proportions right now.
She just smiled and popped a smeplie in her mouth, savoring the extreme sour flavor for a moment before throwing a pinch of salt in to join it. She lamented how sore her teeth got as they shifted back to their human shape. They'd been bugging her for several days now, so the soft fruit were one of the few things she could tolerate. Luckily this should be the last day before they stopped aching.
She looked forward to dinner with Jurl and the children the next day. Today would be spent on a debriefing with the king. She didn't look forward to that.

My fiancรฉ hates what working in an NT environment does to me. His brilliant plan is that I should just quit my job and stream video games on Twitch. And honestly? Thatโs a pretty epic plan and Iโm super lucky he cares enough to even suggest something like this knowing my income level and contribution could potentially (and most likely) nosedive.
I kind of really want to do this. I feel like it would make me so much happier. But Iโm so worried about whether or not I can make it work. I get bored so easily. I donโt know if I can make myself finish the games, or if Iโll be able to communicate well enough with the viewers or if theyโll like my โquirkyโ personality. I have no idea how to get started but I imagine the initial equipment investment must be a small fortune.
I want to give it a try before I quit my job so I have a backup, but I also just donโt have the time or energy to start while working, so it really seems to be all or nothing. Does anyone here have any experience with streaming as an alternative source of income? Could you possibly give me some advice or stories about why you made the leap and how itโs working out?
TIA!

It is a common fantasy trope for the vampires of a world to be sorted into different bloodlines.
Hwtossad Bloodline. The vampires of Hwtossad (hiw-toe-sad) are from the cold and windswept plains. Their origin is said to be a demonic pact, which is true. Frequently omitted is that the pact was made in the pain and desperation of a deep famine. The Hwtossad tribe avoided obliteration by hunger but gained a new craving beyond bread.
Hwtossad vampires feed like vampire bats, punching holes in the skin with sharp (but not over-long) teeth and lapping the flowing blood. Their saliva is totally normal chemically, but because of their magic curse it acts like an anticoagulant, preventing the blood-flow from stopping. They must drink blood to live, though they can get by on about one wholly exsanguinated victim a year. Again, their digestion is totally mundane, but due to their curse they can survive on humanoid blood alone.
Hwtossad vampires can enter dwellings but not places of sanctity like temples, graveyards and holy groves. They cannot swim and can drown, are blinded by sunlight, and can be paralyzed by being staked through the heart with a wooden stake.
The Hwtossad bloodline is ruled by an Ancient Council, which is comprised of the seven survivors of the original Hwtossad tribe. They are all silver-haired, hunched and wizened. Their vote on issues presented by senior members of the clan is the final say, and none dare challenge them,
A Hwtossad vampire must be full-gorged with blood to spread the curse to another mortal. Therefore, they need two victims to make one vampire- one to drain and one to bite. The Hwtossad ancients, closest to the source of the demonic curse, can even without full-gorge of blood turn a bite victim into a Hwtossad thrall, which is a Ghoul whose creature type is Fiend.
Right now, the Hwtossad bloodline is embroiled in a sort of civil war
... keep reading on reddit โกI don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Often when I ask fantasy readers if they've got any good recommendations that include a romance subplot, they give the same few answers. Bujold, Kingfisher, Carey, the known and the acclaimed. Then I say, what about something new, books I probably haven't heard about? People start listing fantasy-romance by the dozen, but almost all of them are either from the female point of view, or they're dual POV but clearly catered towards women. So I say, that's nice and all, but anyone happens to know fantasy books that are told from a man's perspective, with a woman as the love interest, showcasing a healthy, respectful and emotional relationship? And without dipping into the murky depths of harem or wish fulfillment category?
To that question, I rarely get an answer.
From what I hear and see, the typical man devours pages to get to that epic fight scene, or to figure out every details of an intricate magic system, or to see a clever plot twist kick a narrative on its head. Heart-to-heart moments, sex scenes, and angsty characters guys usually don't mind as long as they're kept nice and short. Romance? Eh, whatever. Could be decent, could be boring, but ultimately don't care much.
I guess I'm a rare type of reader. I see all the emotional candy that soaks stories that feature female protagonists, and wish I could experience even a fraction of that pile. It might not be common, but I don't think a vulnerable person wanting to be loved by someone confident, stable, yet understanding, has to be gender exclusive.
So now with the stage properly set, here's my recommendation of books that I enjoyed to varying degrees throughout the years. Almost all exclusively from the point of view of a man, with a woman as the love interest. I made this list in case there are guys out there with a similar mindset. It's not easy finding stories that manage to hit all the right notes, so here's hoping people will find it useful. And maybe even expand the list (as I'm always looking for more novels to add).
