PixelLabs/Labcorp issues & has anyone been to Marlborough/New England sports Center Testing Site?

Has anyone on here had luck with the PixelLabs/LabCorp online request for the PCR test? That was my go-to, but I have been unable to figure out when they open their daily slots.

And has anyone been this week to the Marlborough Hospital/New England Sports Center "Stop The Spread" state site? How are the lines? How long did you have to wait?

Labcorp Patient Portal Is Connecting To Facebook when processing my appointment request

I was trying to schedule a lab appointment today on the Labcorp patient portal. Had already supplied personally identifiable information to the form, name, address, phone number email and type of lab test being requested. Part of the appointment process is searching for nearby location so you can book an appointment at that location. This step was not working, it kept hanging up and not returning a list nearby locations BUT.... at the bottom of the browser window where you can see what URL the page is working on, it showed a facebook domain name and path. Labcorp privacy policy says they may share your Personal Information with agents, contractors, or partners and those entities are restricted from using it other than to provide services to Labcorp. However, I am highly suspicious. I cannot think of anything Facebook might be doing to "provide services" to Labcorp. They also have a terrible reputation for misusing data they're given access to outside of the supposed controls on their usage. How can I determine whether Lab Corp is sending my PHI to Facebook, and if so, tell them to cease and desist.

Labcorp PCRs did not detect my obvious covid infection.

2nd labcorp PCR that I used to swab my throat with on monday (per other's recommendation and also after getting positive rapid tests with this method) didn't detect covid.

The first one I took was on the first day of symptoms with massive congestion and post nasal drip/sore throat, i swabbed my nose and tried to be as thorough as possible. Not detected there as well.

Something is definitely up, i'd recommend if you have omicron symptoms to avoid labcorp pcrs until they figure out whats going on with them.

I recently got a job opportunity and found out Monday that I have to pass a drug test this Saturday. I am a female, 125-130lbs, and am relatively active. I was smoking for almost a year straight nearly every day. I have not smoked since Sunday, and have been drinking a gallon of water, 40 oz of cranberry juice, and 1-2 shots of apple cider vinegar each day since Monday when I found out about the test. I also got gatorade and certo, and have drank two of those today (thursday). I have been taking at home tests each night and there are very faint negative lines, but I do not know if those were dilute or not. Labcorp bathroom

Just a heads up, I went to a labcorp today for a regular pre employment non dot drug screen. Just a dipstick test, not monitored. However at this labcorp there was a bathroom door he told me to leave open, with a stall inside. he said I could close the stall door, but the bathroom door has to stay open. So he was right outside. I’ve never seen that at another labcorp and it made me too nervous to attempt the quickfix I had on me, luckily I had planned ahead and diluted in case I was too nervous to try the quickfix. If I dropped the bottle or even made a sound he would have heard it, so I opted to not even attempt it. But just wanted to give people a heads up in case other labcorps have the same bathroom setup!

PSA on NIPT MaterniT21 - discounted price (Labcorp)

A quick tip for anyone getting their NIPT done soon or who has a pending bill for it. If you get the MaterniT21 test through Labcorp they cap the out of pocket cost at $299. I had it done about a month ago and just got my invoice from them and it was $645 after insurance. I called and asked about the $299 and the (very helpful) customer service person told me there was a discount we could either self-enroll in or your doctor can enroll you in which caps the cost. She enrolled me on the spot and reduced the invoice amount to $299!

Here’s the info I have on the discount below in case it helps anyone…. I don’t know how different doctors work and if people have the ability to choose which NIPT test they take but if cost is a concern $299 is definitely on the low end of out of pocket cost!

For those with a deductible greater than $300, or those whose insurance does not cover testing, LabCorp guarantees the cost of the test will be no greater than $299. Please call 844.799.3243 and register for the Moms Helping Moms Initiative which will cap your cost at $299

Passed Labcorp UA pre-employment screening

Female, 27, 165lbs

Pretty heavy smoker recently, started growing my own bud and probably smoked at least once every day for 2.5-3 months. Was notified of drug test after receiving job offer and had 5 days to get clean. I basically fasted for most of the day and then had one of those frozen microwaveable meals that are like beans, corn, and rice (it has protein in the title? I can’t remember what it’s called right now) for dinner. Drank more water than I’ve ever drank in my life, drank 2 gallons of cranberry juice, took Azos cranberry twice per day (morning and night) also took 400mg Echinacea and 600mg goldenseal root twice per day (morning and night).

For good measure, I also purchased stinger detox whole body cleanser which worked for me on home tests (50ng/mL) but then I actually missed the drug screening hours so I went to a vitamin shoppe and got the detoxify mega clean (32oz) for test the next day and started that process 3 hours before my scheduled test. Negative results were posted within 30 minutes.

I’m also prescribed 30mg adderall so I was concerned my sample would get sent to the lab because that might make meth come up positive but didn’t hear anything about it.

I was allowed to pee with the door shut and did my business and returned the sample in probably 40 seconds so I think they just weren’t suspicious of me at all.

My Story: Pre-Employment Drug Screen - LabCorp - Quick Fix 6.3

Ok. I was happily employed but got recruited for a much better role with a different company. My interview process moved quickly (5 interviews in 2 weeks) and I wasn't expecting to get a drug test for a bit because I my start date was after the new year. I could easily avoid using if I was looking for a job etc. but I wasn't. A few days after my last interview, HR called and told me I had 3 days to complete a drug screen as part of the background check.

I smoke weed before bed almost every night and mainly just take a few puffs. My tolerance is incredibly low and has always been that way (I am blessed). A few days after my last interview, HR called and told me I had 3 days to complete a drug screen as part of the background check. The drug screen is 5-panel Urine test. I knew there was no way I would pass with my piss. My sister is a nurse and I know she has had to take tests in nursing school and professionally on short notice. She advised me to use Quick Fix and told me it never let her down. So I overnighted QF and got prepared to take test with QF. She told me she watched the scene from BLOW when George is smuggling suitcase full of blow through customs 100 times to get in her mind right so I did the same. Just be cool and don't stress it. So I was calm heading into the test to say the least.

My test was at a walgreen's a block away from my apartment through Labcorp. I heated the QF up to about 102 and put it under my nuts with two pairs of boxers on for added insulation. This is when things start to unravel. I get to the Walgreen's and check in. I wait for about 10 min and then its my turn. I am told I have 4 min to take a pee etc. This is when I mess up! I forget to shake the bottle of QF and panic. Don't panic. EVER. And then I look at the temp strip and it says 91 degrees! I am literally freaking out. Thinking I am fucked. I hand bottle to lab tech and then I think I left the bottle in the bathroom! Nervous wreck and my legs are legit shaking. Then I feel the bottle in my pocket and thank god. He asks me to sign and says I am good to go. This was 14 days ago. I haven't heard anything from HR but I will keep you guys posted LOL. I will be better for next time and please learn from my mistakes. Fingers crossed it all works out.

UPDATE: Passed the test! This page gave me a lot of confidence and advice going into it. Thank you!

Labcorp HSV2 1.37, Supplemental Positive - WB negative!!

Hey guys, I relied heavily on this subreddit when I first got my positive HSV2 result so hopefully this can provide some reassurance for others.

I’m a late 20s F, no symptoms I’m aware of ever. Got routine STD screening and came up pos on Labcorp’s HSV2 test (1.37 index) AND their reflex supplemental test. My OBGYN was really certain this was real and basically said chance of false pos was less than 5%.

Went ahead and got connected with Terri Warren and sent off for UW’s Western Blot and…. Negative!

Per Terri, Labcorp’s reflex supplemental is terrible and she personally has had at least 45+ patients who are like me and WB tested neg with a positive supplemental. Ridiculous how many docs don’t know about the rates of false positives in asymptomatic patients. Highly recommend people without symptoms and/or low index (or actually anyone really…) to get this done if it’s within your means. Whole process was fairly expensive but worth it to me for a lifetime of reassurance. You can also definitely do it cheaper by yourself without Terri as the instructions UW provides in their free kit are pretty comprehensive and straightforward.

Labcorp & QuickFix 6.3 1/12/22

Honestly I am mad that I ever failed a drug test before considering using Quick Fix. I stopped smoking trees within 30 days of a drug test but still was testing positive on 50 ng tests & the 10-panel I had to take tests to 10 ng.

Trial Run:

I did a trial run the day before my drug test just to see how long I could keep the bottle hot enough to pass. I heated it up for 10 seconds (per instructions) and attached the hothands. If you have a far drive to the lab this works great for you. It took about an hour after me warming it up and stashing it in my shorts to come down to 100 degrees. it finally dropped to 98 after about 3 hours of being stashed with the hothands. In total it stayed 98 degrees for six hours and by then I was sick of having it in my shorts so I took it out, however it probably would've lasted a lot longer at the rate I was going.

The only thing I would change is the first couple of times checking it, it was hard to read because I had the temperature strip pressed against my skin so it had each circle lit up a different color. After about 2 times checking it and not being able to read it I flipped it to where the hothands was up against me and the temp strip was against my clothing.

Day of the Test:

I decided to warm the bottle up in a few second increments instead of a full 10 seconds as I didn't have as much of a time gap to wait an hour for it to cool off. I did this until the green dot showed at 100 degrees, put my hothand on the bottle and in my shorts. I checked the temp once more in the parking lot and it was 98 degrees. I headed in and checked in for my appointment so I would ensure being seen promptly to make sure the temp did not have time to drop. Someone came and got me from the back, asked for registration number and told me to empty my pockets of everything except money. Made small talk and she told me to fill to at least a certain line on the bottle and that I can flush the toilet but not to wash my hands. Went in, peed a little, stopped, started again to make it believable even though she was still in the room nextdoor. I was pouring this all while doing the other and the temp was 96 when I took it out this time. Strip on the test cup said 94 so I quickly finished up, took her the bottle and signed my life away on the sample. 24 hours later I got my test results NEGATIVE for everything and pH was a perfect 7.2. If you are hesitating to use this, don't. Go in confident, calm and you'll be fine.

QuickFix 6.3 Passed @ Labcorp! 01/03

Hello all! I just wanted to say first a huuuge thank you to everyone on this forum for the anxiety relief and tips. I took my drug screen at Labcorp in Nevada on 01/03 and received word today that I passed (with an MRO which I wasn’t expecting until I received the chain of custody form) and I’m ready to start my first day!

Biggest tip I can give, like everyone else on this forum, is STAY COOL, CALM, & COLLECTED. As long as you’ve got the temp right (I followed the directions on the box + used the hand warmer) you will be good to go. Getting it past the nurse/lab tech is quite literally the hardest part. Everything after that is just smooth sailing 😎 unless of course you’re a worrier/have anxiety like me!

Also, biggest tip for females is USE YOUR BRA! No pat downs were done or supervision & all you have to leave is your purse and empty your pockets. I double insulated my bras and that definitely helped me maintain the temperature. Any other questions please feel free to ask otherwise sit back and relax until your first official day on the job! Cheers!

How bad is it *really* working for a company like Quest or Labcorp?

I'm looking at trying to transition into this field while in college. My understanding is that hospitals are the preferred employment option; however, for reasons not relevant to this post, that isn't an option for me. Which leaves companies like Quest or LabCorp. Frankly, my impression is that while these may be sub-par jobs for the med lab tech field, they are probably still a step up from my current employment (fast food wage slave; $10.50/hr). However, if exploring the field is an awful idea for me, I'd definitely like to know this as soon as possible.

Would anyone be willing to weigh in on this, from either/both the perspective of pay or working conditions?

QUICKFIX HAS NEVER FAILED ME!!!!

This is for a 5/10 panel non-DoT test - any other test do your research. (DoT is sus)

Just used the 6.3 version for a UUUGE new company where I’m making 90% increase in salary - Not gonna like I still get nervous every time, and always research for any updates. Putting a lot of faith and money into a fake piss online is insane, but this company is GOAT.

I took the test last week and got my first day papers and set up the next day.

IF YOU DONT HEAR FROM THEM DONT ASK THEM.

NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS

If there is anything wrong, you would be notified immediately - 9 times out of 10 they won’t tell you your background check and drug test results. And don’t fucking ask, obviously.

The process:

-Hide the bottle well (compression shorts) -take heating pad out 30 min before to let it heat up -microwave 10seconds -strap on heating pad immediately after out of microwave -be cool -be nice to the nurse -lock the door -squirt the bottle to the line and make sure it gets warm- takes a little bit -hand over to nurse with smile -golden

CONTEXT( read if you’re nervous! ) -

I’m currently employed at a high security, multi-billion dollar tech company. I passed my first drug test with flying colors because I wasn’t an active user. 3 weeks ago,I was offered a promotion that would pay me almost triple my salary at my former retail job. I was so stoked and immediately accepted my offer because 1) I’m only 18 and 2) this company is genuinely good to me and offers growth opportunities in a field I’m passionate about. What I failed to realize is…. Oh yeah, I smoke a shit ton, and I’d need another drug screen.I was stupid and tried the certo detox method and peed completely clean, passing every single at home drug test with a HARD negative. I walked my happy ass into labcorp and handed my sample over! …. Yeah, I failed with an invalid test. Cut to my Reddit searches, I came across QF. I won’t detail my method because there are 7 billion stories and tips on how to heat up, and hide the QF- keep scrolling, and you’ll find wonderful methods on how to successfully pull this off, I’m simply here to calm your nerves!

I’m sure you can imagine how ungodly nervous I was- so much was on the line for me. On top of that, I give rides to my coworker who doesn’t have a car! I wouldn’t be able to take them to work if I failed, and on top of that, I’d probably have to go back to retail! I was worried beyond sick. My test was right before thanksgiving break which added a total of 1 million more pounds of stress. I could’ve puked at ANY moment throughout my wait for my results. Absolutely horrified. But…. As most people on here will tell ya, please relax. If your tech sealed it up and gave you a receipt with your initials, I can promise you you’re in good hands. I have a crippling anxiety disorder and look at me! Now that I used QF 6.3, I’m at a pretty awesome spot in my life. If you’re reading this and you’re nervous, I assure you everything will be ok. Now get off here and stop looking at every single post about QF. You’ve got this:)

Does anyone know the lower detection limit for the Labcorp and Quest Ureaplasma tests?

I'm looking at a test from molecular testing labs (No doc required), they have the following limits

U. parvum, 20 cfu/Β΅L

U. urealyticum, 1 cfu/Β΅L

M. hominis, 10 copies/Β΅L

M. genitalium, 50 copies/Β΅L.

BioGX Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma Assay

Trying to work out if Quest and Labcorp have a lower detection limit, and what that limit is?

Does anyone have any info on this? - This would be for the PCR test for Ureaplasma not the TMA test for Mycoplasma

Awaiting drug screen results from LabCorp

I took my test on Friday morning, following three negative at home tests. It is now Wednesday (5 days later) and haven’t heard anything. My employer said LabCorp was still testing. What does this mean?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

PSA: To anyone using the Pixel by LabCorp Test for Travel

Do not book your flights on Monday or Tuesday.

You will not get your results on time.

The website says the lab is open 7 days a week.

But they can't receive samples on the weekends even if Fedex picks up packages from the dropbox on Saturday.

My flight was booked for Tuesday, and I dropped off my sample on Saturday to stay within the 72 hour mark. It was picked up by Fedex at 4 pm on Saturday.

The package said next day arrival. But the return label that they provided is only for weekday delivery. Something that they failed to put a warning for on the kit. They can only provide results 1-2 days from the time the kit was received in their lab which is in Raritan, NJ.

So by the time the results are available, the 72 hour period would have expired.

Your results would be worthless and you need to take a test again.

Support was utterly useless and incompetent. The agent suggested I send the sample on a Friday for a Tuesday flight which is well over the 72 hour window. 🀦

Don't make the same mistake I did.

Hope this helps someone out!
