I'm really freaking tired of having to silently swallow all the awful comments I hear pretty much everywhere I go. Machismo runs rampant in all sorts of gyms here, I hear fag jokes left and right, blatant and open homophobia, etc. Mind you, they aren't directed at *me*, as I'm a lady who passes as straight more often than not. But I'm tired of being invisible, I'm tired of having to be silent and complicit and insulted. I'm just a lowly purple belt, it's not like I can directly challenge all the BBs who perpetuate this type of shit here. I'm looking to put a massive patch on the back of my gi as a symbol of resistance and solidarity to all my LGBT brothers and sisters, something which incorporates the LGBT flag with some BJJ imagery/symbols. Can anyone give me ideas or help me out? We can work some kind of payment. Thank you very much.
