- I went to the cashier on the Khreshchatyk metro and asked for new city transport card, it costed 50uah and all buying took less than 1 minute.

- After that I found 3 ways how to put money on it, 1- by cash in terminal, 2- by card! in terminal, 3- by SmartCity app on my phone (in app you can add your credit card and pay in two clicks)
Ofc discount system also works, if you pay for 1-9 tickets price for each will be 8 uah, 10-19 7.7 uah, 20-29 7.4 uah, 30-39 7.1 uah, 40-49 6.8 uah, 50+ 6.5 uah

- Then I went to usual turnstile (not yellow one) and paid without any problems. Checked this system on bus, also no problems at all.
So my conclusion- system works and finally we can live in Kyiv without cash!
PS: for one road trip you'll be able to buy a ticket with qr code in terminal, might be useful for tourists and so on, also you can buy qr code - virtual one-off ticket in app SmartCity or Privat24
If I am only spending a few days in Kyiv, is it worth paying 50UAH for a metro card. I got one in Kharkiv since I was there for a week, and still have it, so was wondering if it is worth the convenience for using it to take the bus or trams?

sorry i grew up in a country with little to no metros and no tramways, just buses.
