A list of puns related to "Ken Schwaber"
I saw a quote attributed to Ken Schwaber the other day and cannot find seem to find it again... anybody able to give me a little help?
The quote was along the lines of:
When projects go poorly, the conclusion is drawn that processes were not followed strictly enough and thus more process and control are introduced.
Thanks!
Looking to get some certs in agile which is being funded by my employer.

Does the story below sound familiar? If so, does anyone recall the author or book?
The story went something like this... Our software development team was not being successful. The key problems were with changing requirements and lack of schedule predictability. Out of frustration, the devloper(s) changed the game: Here's what we'll do. Let's decide what you want me to do for the next two weeks. I'll work on it. At end of that period, I'll show you what I've done. If you like it, I'll continue. If you don't, I'll stop.
It's a great description of the simplicity and goal of iterative development. I'd love to find the original story and read it in context. A colleague suggested this was either Ken Schwaber in βAgile Project Management with Scrumβ or Mike Cohn in βAgile Estimation and Planningβ. I scanned both of those books and could not find the story.
I passed my PMP exam on first try this past weekend. I wanted to give back to this community and share my experience.
I want to start off by saying thank you to this sub-reddit. I truely couldn't have done it without you guys. My journey started early last year when I got interested in pursuing the PMP certification after seeing it listed as a requirement in a few job listings I was interested in at the time.
A little bit about me: I have an MBA and have ten years experience in marketing. I don't have "pure" project management experience, although I do have years of managing marketing programs and campaigns that involve multiple stakeholders located across several locations. I had ZERO knowledge or experience in Agile methods. Last year in late January, I signed up for a PMP study group through my company that went over a new knowledge area every week on an hour long call. After sitting through these calls, I decided to go ahead and submit my PMP application in early May. My company helped me with the application process and PMI approved me within a week after submitting. After much consideration, I felt like the PMP mountain was too high for me to climb given the other challenges in my life - both professional and personal. I pretty much gave up on pursuing this dream since I wasn't ready to put my life on hold for weeks and fully dedicate myself to preparing for this exam. Fast Forward to December, and my wife convinces me to pursue my PMP dream. I decided to dedicate 2-3 hours every night before bed for about 2.5 months. I start researching online for exam prep tips and that's when I found this wonderful subreddit. You guys are rockstars in sharing your experiences, tips, "tools and techniques" and helping the PMP aspirants believe in themselves.
Here's a quick summary of what I used to prepare:
Rita Mulcahy - I read the 9th edition first. By this time, it was already 2021 in my study timeline. So I decided to purchase the 10th edition and read that. I found the new edition to take about 70% of its content from the 9th edition, with Agile bits sprinkled in throughout the book. I wrote notes as I read the 10th edition - which turned out to be VERY time consuming.
Agile Practice Guide - I read this twice and wrote my own notes to refer back to later. The actual exam covered questions from the appendices, so make sure you read those thoroughly!

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.
If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.
Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???
Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.
Thank you,
A Dad.
So far nobody has given me a straight answer
I am currently in the hospital. I had a back operation yesterday. The surgical nurse came in my room and started asking questions about my back. She asked me if I had any falls during the last year. I responded just one. It was after summer.
She laughed and said in 20 years of doing this she never was told that joke.

βOn November 18, 2020 Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland published an update of the Scrum Guide. According to the co-creators, the Scrum Guide 2020 aims at βbringing Scrum back to being a minimally sufficient framework by removing or softening prescriptive languageββ

Keep in mind, my son is 4 years old, so everything is an original to him.
I had to work late into the evening yesterday, and he was just going to bed when I got home. I had left home for the office nearly 14 hours prior, had a long day, lots of meetings, traffic, etc.
When I walked through the door, I was exhausted, run down, and starving. My wife hugged me and asked how my day was, and I replied, "Done. It was a good day, but has got me exhausted. I just want to grab a bite and go to bed. I'm hungry."
From my son's bedroom, I hear him shout, "Hi Hungry! Nice to meet you!"
Not only did it make me laugh, but I completely forgot about how hungry and tired I was. I went to his bedroom, and we laughed together about it. It was exactly what I needed.
Edit: Thanks for all the awards, kind strangers! I'll let my son know y'all enjoyed his joke too!
I heard parents named their children lance a lot.
