A list of puns related to "John Sparkes"
I just confirmed with the Alameda Comedy Club by phone that the gig is definitely canceled. The reasons were a little confusing - the guy I talked to blamed scheduling conflict but also Covid. (FYI, California is a hair away from locking down again.)
He said Hal is booked at the much bigger Cobb's Club in SF, and that it was a case of "one hand not knowing what the other is doing", referring to Hal & John's separate managers.
But Hal's at Cobb's in late Jan, and the Alameda show wasn't until late Feb.
I asked if John was going to do the Alameda date by himself and the guy said no.
