A list of puns related to "Jessica Jones (season 3)"
So I've been wondering for a while now is Season 3 set Pre or Post Snap?
I can't recall if a specific date was ever stated in series that clarified this
I've been watching in order but I'm really feeling DD rn, if I skip Luke Cage season 2 and Iron Fist season 2 am I gonna be missing anything important? Like do they have any plot points that carry over into DD season 3 or anything like that
NOTE: This post contains spoilers about the end of each these series. Please feel free to interject with any potential plotlines for the next seasons that you've heard were possible, or would like to see.
I'm only asking about: Agent Carter, Cloak & Dagger, Daredevil, Helstrom, Inhumans, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Punisher, and Runaways. I'm not including any D+ shows or shows that wrapped up naturally with a planned finale (Agents of SHIELD) or were only a miniseries (Defenders). Also whether or not they are canon isn't relevant. I'm going to rate mine in descending order.
10) Inhumans, there wasn't a single redeeming quality or plotline or likable character on that train wreck of a show.
9) Helstrom, this show was boring and towards the bottom of the Marvel Television heap, but Gabriella joining The Blood could have been ok. I appreciate that the show at least tried to do a darker/horror vibe, but for me it fell flat.
8) Runaways, and I say this mostly because I didn't like the show, but also because they wrapped up both the magic and the alien subplots by the end of S3, and the parental conflict also seems to have largely fallen by the wayside. I guess that Alex does kill Nico, but given that they just used time travel to rescue Gert from a similar fate, there's little tension or reason to believe Nico couldn't be saved too. I guess that means that one of the evil future Alex stayed in the present? I'm not even sure.
7) Cloak & Dagger, I don't remember if they set up a new conflict, but I do remember the two of them taking a trip, and it even looked like romance was blossoming in a way that felt like an organic progression of the characters journeys together. I really felt like S2, with its jazz and Loa themes, improved over S1 which just kind of meandered for awhile. Bonus points if they had continued to crossover to other shows; that was the only episode of S3 of Runaways that I really liked.
6) Iron Fist, the show at the bottom of the Netflix heap actually could have had a decent S3. Danny and Ward traveling together, Colleen being the new Iron Fist, and literally anything else with Misty Knight would be great. As much as this show sucked, I feel like it could have done alright with S3.
5) Agent Carter, I'll admit that I liked S2 less than S1, but the potential setup for S3 that I've heard about was for Peggy to go to Europe and track down Jack Thompson's killer, only to find out it was her brother
... keep reading on reddit β‘I've read that apparently at some point in season 3 of Jessica Jones there's a TV in the background talking about Frank's ambulance escape from season 2 of The Punisher. Does anyone know which episode of JJ this is in (and even better if you know the timestamp)?
I know that these two seasons occur simultaneously in the chronology. What I donβt know is what order to mesh the episodes together. Anyone have any insight? (No spoilers please!)
I know Iβm years late on this whole Netflix Marvel thing, but such a large pit has been left in my stomach after finishing Jessica Jones, much more when compared to Punisher and Daredevil which Iβve also finished. Besides the normal nostalgia of feeling upset that the show would never return to Netflix, I feel like so many things were left open ended to close out the season. Just feels like so many character arcs were left unfinished/just getting interesting, itβs a real shame that there will never be a season 4 :(
I put off watching it for years because of the bad reception it got, but it's very good! Maybe it's just cause I've been massively disappointed by the Disney+ shows (especially Falcon and the Winter Solider) and miss the more grounded, FX-like approach from the Netflix shows but it's still legitimately good. I especially loved the twist they made on Foolkiller.
Other than the fact that it's kind of sad that this is the last season and the ending left a lot of lose ends, I have no real complains, and that's rare for my nit picking ass.
The only negative I can say is that it feels like it was setting up the eventual Heroes for Hire arc (which should've happened right after The Defenders but whatever) and it sucks that it's never going to happen.
Ever since Netflix canceled marvels tv shows in 2019 I was begging for one them to get renewed and lost hope.
Now 3 years later during the last month of summer as I thought to rewatch daredevil season 1&2 (watched 2 for Elektra otherwise wouldβve watched in order), I was planned on fully watching daredevil and maybe skimming through the other shows AND I click on Jessica Jones to see what up and I SEE A SEASON 3. I remember the show ending when Trish got her powers and thought that was it and now 3 years later I found out thereβs a whole season I ainβt watch π. Ima fake fan.
3 damn years man
The last season of Jessica Jones had some issues. One was in its choice of villain, Gregory Sallinger aka the Foolkiller, and the other was in Trish Walker's downfall, which ends in her murdering three people, including the serial killer who killed her mother, and being sentenced to life in the Raft in a blatant violation of her constitutional rights.
I watched for the strong female friendship and sisterly bond between Jessica and Trish, who are like Anna and Elsa. Jessica Jones was a show with a strong female-female friendship/sister relationship, and by burning the bridges between Jessica and Trish, that's replaced with Jessica being reliant on a man for emotional support with no other female friends. Not to mention, Jessica's hypocrisy and willingness to betray her sister over killing the man who murdered so many (as well as people close to her) is pretty damn repulsive. Given that she was willing to help her mother escape being a murderer, it flat out shows Jessica never valued Trish the way Trish valued her or seemingly considered her family. And it reeks of double standards (when Daredevil brutalizes criminals and drives them to suicide, that's okay. When the Punisher murders people he has a personal grudge against, we're allowed to root for him, he doesn't lose his support network and even gets a free pass and a job offer. But when Trish Walker, a female vigilante, beats up and kills criminals, she's a bad person who is completely irredeemable and must be put away for good? Double standards, folks.)
So here's how I would rewrite season 3. I would change the main villain, and also change Trish's arc so that she redeems herself and rebuilds her relationship with Jessica, rather than end up in the Raft.
Change the main villain
Sallinger is that he wasn't the best choice of villain. I give the writers credit for what they were trying to make himβ a non-powered mastermind stirring up troubleβbut they botched the execution of their concept.
I think a better villain for JJS3 would've been Parker Robbins, AKA The Hood. Instead of being a guy who stole a demon's magic cloak and boots and got levitation powers and the ability to turn invisible, I'd make him a former Special Ops or even IGH operative along the lines of Simpson, and have him be skilled in surveillance, infiltration, espionage, and reconnaissance. Skills that would ground him in reality and be a comics nod to his "invisibility" skill
... keep reading on reddit β‘Late to the party, but I just finished Season 3. I liked it better then 2, but not as much as 1.
However, I kind of felt like Jessica was the bad guy by the end of the show. Honestly, I was rooting for Trish in the end.
Now obviously Sallinger was the bad guy of the season, but the show tries to tell some dumb story about Trish falling to the dark side and becoming a villain too. Which is BS. Im sorry, but killing a dirty cop who kills kids, an arsonist who burns people, and a serial killer who chops people up... does not make you a villain. And the way Jessica treated her, was just plain wrong.
Even Jessica has beaten up, and killed people before. But now somehow she is suddenly morally right when she says Trish needs to go to jail. And not just any jail, but some high security death prison. Trish did the thing that needed to be done, destroy a very bad person so he couldnt hurt anyone again. A person who the show has shown, with the right lawyers, could get out of prison and possibly kill again. The only way to truly stop him was to kill him.
The show even goes on to show us that Trish isnt just a psyco murderer, when she doesnt kill that lawyer guy whos daughter was there. Then Jessica tells Trish to turn herself in, condemning her best friend and sister to god knows what horrors on 'The Raft'. Jessica, who breaks into peoples homes, assaults many people, injures many, tampered with, stolen, and destroyed police evidence, and has even killed. But Trish kills 3 really bad people (one was accidental, and another was her moms murderer), and suddenly shes a morally corrupt bad guy? Bullshit. On top of that, Trish was literally getting confirmation from Eric, that she was making the world a better place by killing these people.
The show then tries to show us just how 'far gone' Trish is, when she stabs Jessica in the hand. More BS. Jessica was chasing her, beating her up, and cornered her. Trish's only options were to go to death prison, or fight back. Not great options. Not something I expect a desperately distressed person to handle well. And farther, we dont know what her target was. Maybe Trish was just trying to stab her in the shoulder, so she could get away. Jessica is a super, she could handle it.
By the end of it, as Jessica watches Trish being dragged off to some hell hole, I really disliked her. Even hated her. And the show tries to play this off like its a good thing. Like shes a hero. Like she made the tough choi

Just finished the Netflix marvel shows and they were awesome. However in the last season of Jessica Jones there is a character named Erik Gelden who is able to sense when someone is "evil". It is reported that he developed this ability when he was young and there seems to be no particular trigger for this power, so I think that might make him a likely candidate for the first mutant we have seen in the MCU! I kinda like the idea that the first one portrayed is a low-key character rather than a member of the x-men, but I guess we will see what the movies do with the mutant concept.
In this final episode, Luke Cage makes a cameo appearance and gives Jessica some advice as to what to do about Trish. While they were talking, Cage references the events of season 1 of his series, saying that he ended up sending Diamondback, his own brother, to the Raft. Assuming that the Raft was created during the events of Captain America: Civil War, is this a retcon that places the events of Luke Cage Season 1 (and by extension, Daredevil Season 2 and everything that came after) between Civil War and Infinity War? Or perhaps, was Diamondback initially just imprisoned somewhere and then transferred to the Raft sometime later?
I donβt know if there are any mentions or spoilers of daredevil season 3 in Jessica jones season 3. I donβt want to end my defenders binge on stinky Jessica jones.
I know that these two seasons occur simultaneously in the chronology. What I donβt know is what order to mesh the episodes together. Anyone have any insight? (No spoilers please!)
i recently got into Daredevil and apparently i need to watch Jessica Jones to understand season 2 of Daredevil, but I'm not really interested in jj or any of the other shows, do i need to watch them?
I'm getting ready to watch it and I'm wondering if it will be as good as Season 1, as bad as Season 2, or somewhere in-between. I'd like to know going into it due to my dislike of Season 2.
