A list of puns related to "Jeezy discography"
Part 1, detailing 1981 and 1991, can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/hiphop101/comments/rs7tp2/i_listened_to_pretty_much_all_rap_music_from_1981/
Having found a new creative outlet to inflict my music taste on the world in my previous post, hereβs part 2 of my end-of-the-year wrap-up, featuring 2001. Iβm yet again splitting a post, Reddit isnβt very kind to longer posts (Iβm getting crazy lag while formatting these monsters of posts). Iβve listened to almost 2000 songs off 144 rap albums and a few hundred loosies, remixes, demos, or live tracks.
2001 is where things will get tricky for the first time. The closer we get to modern times, the more listeners on Reddit will have diverging music tastes. I think itβs still fairly easy to find some consensus of what constitutes βgoodβ rap in 1991 (and thatβs especially so for 1981), thatβs not going to be as easy for 2001. By 2001, the rap scene was thoroughly split: there were thriving underground and regional scenes. Iβve attempted to listen to all notable releases from the year, across these borders of subgenres.
Iβm fairly certain Iβll get called out for omitting album x or song y by artist z, which is fine by me. Itβs business never personal. My aim is to provide you with new rap suggestions and to provide an overview of rap songs. With that in mind, letβs jump into 2001.
AotY candidates
My best rap albums list of 2001 is heavily dominated by Southern rappers. At this point in time, there was still a lot of great rap music coming out the East Coast, though not always necessarily through great albums. Beanie Sigel and Cormega are the only two East Coast representatives, and especially Cormegaβs album still manages to captivate audiences after 20 years. On the West Coast, it was slim pickings, but Mac Mallβs Immaculate and to a lesser extent Mack 10βs Bang Or Ball were both excellent efforts.
Down South, 2001 was right in the golden age of New Orleans rap music, with artists from Birdmanβs Cash Money label (Juvenile and even Mack 10, a West Coas

It was released on January 12, 2012.[1] The album features guest appearances from rappers Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy, Ludacris and Rocko.[2] Future previously stated Streetz Calling would be his last mixtape, before his debut full-length album Pluto, but instead released Astronaut Status in 2012, making it his last official mixtape.[1][3] "Itchin'" peaked at #2 on the Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Since the release of Astronaut Status, it has been downloaded over 250k times on DatPiff, certifying it platinum. Astronaut Status also charted at #50 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.
>Pitchfork's Jordan Sargent called Astronaut Status "Future's strongest, most listenable mixtape yet ... [though] in the murky waters of pop-rap hitmaking, it's hard to tell if anything on Astronaut Status stands up to the songs that helped Future ascend to this status in the first place."[4] Adam Fleischer of XXL wrote that "Future often relies on his materialistic musings to carry Astronaut Status", and his attempts to stray from that formula are inconsistent. Fleischer added: "It's apparent that Future knows the components of a catchy street chant, it's just a matter of whether or not he can deliver every time."[5] The mixtape ranked 13th on Stereogum's list of the top 40 rap albums of 2012. Tom Breihan said the mixtape contains "some of rap's catchiest mantras of the year."[6]

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I doubt I am alone in saying that Freddie Gibbs is one of my favourite rappers of both the last few years and all time, many including myself have only become fans of Freddie in recently, (last few years) but he has had a long and interesting and long career that began 15+ years ago.
Fredrick Jamel Tipton (Freddie Gibbs) was born on June 14th, 1982. He was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. His father was a police officer in Gary but was fired in the 90s, leaving Freddie's family to struggle financially throughout his childhood. This was largely what led Freddie to begin getting into crime as a teenager. Growing up, Freddie was always into sports and of course music, it was his skill in football that led him to getting an athletic scholarship at Ball State University, there he would continue committing crimes when he wasn't playing football, this led to him being expelled. He had to return to Gary and would soon get into more trouble. After picking up theft and gun charges he was given the option to either serve time in prison or join the military, he understandably chose the ladder. However, after eight months he was discharged for smoking pot. After returning to Gary he began to work at a mall in Gary and more importantly, begin his career in music. The rap career of Freddie Gibbs began when he joined a local crew called "No Tamin Entertainment" and then his debut solo project "Full Metal Jackit" released in 2004.
Freddie has released many records since coming into the scene back in 2004, this includes his solo albums, mixtapes, EPs and collaboration records with producers such as Madlib and The Alchemist. All of Freddie's recent music is available on streaming services but his older mixtapes are not, and are easiest accessed on Soundcloud and Youtube. I will go through everything he has officially released and anything I would deem "essential" I will highlight in bold, I would still recommend trying out some of the other stuff as they can still be a good listen.
Do your worst!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

Hello popheads! Inspired by u/generationendhatredβs post of them rating every single #1 from the 2000s, and my own obsession with the charts and numbers, I wanted to do a similar project, but with every single Billboard Year-End hit of the 2010s! I have a lot of thoughtsβ’οΈ on the various Hot 100 Year-End hits through the years and this is the perfect opportunity to share them with you all! This is will be a grand undertaking that I hope you all enjoy! Also, I will be giving my thoughts and scores on 100 different songs, you are bound to disagree with me on at least 10 of them, and that's ok! Argue with me about what songs I got wrong with in the comments! So without further ado, letβs get into the 2010 Billboard Year-End 100!
#1. Kesha - Tik Tok (Hot 100 peak: #1 for 9 weeks): This being the first #1 of the entire 2010s makes perfect sense honestly. This song definitely feels like turning point in pop, a warning for whatβs to come in the coming decades for better and for worse. I have loved this song since the very first time I heard it in 09 and Iβll probably love it until my last days. (10/10) #2. Lady A - Need You Now (Hot 100 peak: #2): This is definitely one of those country songs thatβs loved by people who donβt usually like country. Itβs heartbreaking, extremely catchy, and is just an overall well-made piece of music. I like it a lot (8/10) #3. Train - Hey Soul Sister (Hot 100 peak: #3): Honestly one of the worst songs of the year. Now, Iβm not surprised that this song has become somewhat of an enduring classic throughout the years, but this song just absolutely blows no question. And I 100% place the blame on these godawful lyrics. I donβt want to get too deep into the lyrical rabbithole here, but that βIβm so gangsta, Iβm so thugβ line is probably a bottom 5 lyric of the decade. Terrible song all-around (1/10) #4. Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg - California Gurls (Hot 100 peak: #1 for 6 weeks): I feel like this song gets skipped over a lot when we talk about Katyβs run of hits back in this era. Itβs a solid pop song and it definitely SCREAMS βSummer bopβ. (7/10) #5. Usher feat. will.i.am - OMG (Hot 100 peak: #1 for 4 weeks): Itβs funny to me how Usher told T-Pain that he βruined R&Bβ with his auto-tune and then he proceeded to make this disaster. (3/10) #6. B.o.B feat. Hayley Williams - Airplanes (Hot 100 peak: #2): Mordecai and Tw

Nothing, he was gladiator.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
Or would that be too forward thinking?
I won't be doing that today!
