OK - now that's out of the way.. here we go.

Let's start of talking about about dilution, everyone on this sub is scared shitless of dilution because of the FUD that has been spreading around. There are strong datas that's showing it "might" happen, but sometimes we have to read in-between lines to weight what's right and what's wrong.

On the last Earning Report investors phone call. The new CEO actually said that as they continue to scale down and focus on R&D, they project to have enough capital runway till Q3 of 2022. If they are going to dilute, they wouldn't announce that, especially not as the new CEOof the company. Would you tell your kids that you have money to support them just to pull the rug under and steal their money? if you would, then you one fucked up parent. With that said, they don't have an excuse to do further dilution. I'm not saying it won't happen, but it makes it very unlikely.

"per the S-3 filings, the 140M shelf of shares is pretty much exhausted, and PROG only has about 13M shares left in its treasury to dilute, even if they wanted to. For all the reasons you specified above, they don't. It's stupid to dilute before announcing who your new partners are when that is a very bullish catalyst that could cause the stock to rip.

Here is some peak off-season content. Consider an alternative grid for 2022 made up of drivers not currently in F1. I've tried to realistically assign drivers to their teams based on past and current ties or if the move makes sense. Here is what I came up with.

Mercedes - Nico Hulkenberg, Stoffel Vandoorne

Having rumoured to have almost signed Hulkenberg once, Mercedes have gone and got the German this time to be the lead driver. Vandoorne is their current test and reserve driver and has some F1 experience to fill in for the second seat so is given the seat over Nyck de Vries.

Red Bull - Jean-Eric Vergne, Daniil Kvyat

Both ex-RB family drivers have been brought back due to their relevant F1 and FE experience. Vergne matched Ricciardo during their time as teammates at Toro Rosso but never got to show his abilities in the senior team and is now given the chance to. Kvyat is an experienced driver and is one of the next best available drivers for a top team to get.

Ferrari - Antonio Giovinazzi, Kevin Magnussen

Gio is the current reserve driver and is liked by Ferrari so he gets the seat. He is partnered with Magnussen who, like Kvyat, is one of the best available drivers to pick from.

McLaren - Pato O'Ward, Sébastien Buemi

McLaren has been closely monitoring their Indycar driver O'Ward's progress and have given him the drive. Experienced driver Buemi has several championship wins in FE and WEC to go with his F1 experience back in 2009-2011. He has probably done some relevant simulator work for Red Bull recently as their test driver.

Alpine - Romain Grosjean, Oscar Piastri

Piastri finally gets the deserved call up and ex-driver Grosjean provides not only a French flavour for this French team but also a decent benchmark for Piastri to meet.

Alpha Tauri - Liam Lawson, Juri Vips

Its only appropriate that the Alpha Tauri seats go to the two most promising Red Bull juniors in F2.

Aston Martin - António Félix da Costa, Dan Ticktum

Having lost reserve driver Hulkenberg to Mercedes, Aston Martin get FE champion Félix da Costa to fill in the role of the experienced driver. He also once tested for the team back when it was Force India. The other seat goes to Ticktum who is available for hire after cutting his ties with Williams. Also there is a little narrative of having a British driver in a British team.

Williams - Jack Aitken, Nyck de Vries

Oh Brave Lupus Tokyo, what happened? You used to be one the best clubs in Japan. You used to get the best foreign talent. Guys like François Steyn, Cory Jane, and let me check here, Richard Kahui. You won the Top League five times between 2000 and 2010. You produced dozens of Japanese internationals.

But something happened about 6 years ago. Since 2016, the best finish the Brave Lupus could muster is 6th. I’m not sure what happened. Maybe it was because Steyn left. Maybe Toshiba management no longer saw rugby as a wise investment. Maybe after some company difficulties, Toshiba had no choice but to tighten their belt. Maybe the other teams just became better as you stagnated. Whatever the cause, you can’t afford to slip any farther, for that would mean being relegated for the first time ever.

I want to be positive here. This team isn’t that bad on paper. Sure, the capped internationals they have aren’t as good as some other teams, but they’re not terrible and the Brave Lupus have at least signed 3 capped internationals. Todd Blackadder has experience coaching at the highest club level. There’s still a few Brave Blossoms on their roster, including Michael Leitch. There’s reason for hope I suppose. But with only 12 teams in the competition and potentially three relegation spots, the Brave Lupus cannot be complacent any longer.

Last season:

It was both a very up and down season and a predictable one. They won against teams they should’ve beat (often convincingly) and lost against teams who were better than them. They won 3 games and lost 4. Unfortunately for them, only one of the three teams they beat are in the top division this year.

They played the Black Rams in the first round, and fought them in a close game. They could’ve won if they made their conversions but alas, they ended their season with a 27-24 loss.

Rate Their Stadium Situation: 6/10

The Brave Lupus will host a game at the giant Ajinomoto Stadium before playing two games at the smaller Komazawa Stadium. They will likely host the remaining five home games at the Prince Chichibu Rugby Stadium. It’s not an inspiring home schedule, though all the home games are in Tokyo and that counts for something. I’ll be watching the attendance figures for this team, especially at the Ajinomoto Stadium. I bet that the Sungoliath could draw a crowd with their roster and recent success, but will the down-on-their luck Brave Lupus be able to?
