A list of puns related to "IsraeliβPalestinian conflict"
I was never taught about it in school and the Wikipedia article about it makes me more confused. Why are they fighting each other? All the news media tells me is that they're fighting each other.
Iβve heard a lot about it in the news but know nothing about it. Anytime I try to learn more about it, news sources have a bias to one side while demonizing the other side, making it difficult to really learn whatβs going on.
All of my social media was filled with hate these past few days. Israelis hating Palestinians, and Palestinians hating Israelis. That's simply what media likes! Hate goes viral, love doesn't.
I'd love to have a dialogue with anyone about anything, and show you what's actually happening here, and that the common Israeli might not be as bad as you think.
Lets start with: I'm pro Palestine, Against the occupation and my heart aches for people in Gaza.
Will answer any question!
Discussing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a figurative minefield of antisemitism, Islamophobia, and condoning of human rights atrocities. How should this difficult subject be discussed honestly, critically, but with care to avoid hateful unspoken innuendos?
I have been reading so many comments criticizing Ethan and Hila due to them not addressing the serious attacks occurring between Israel and Palestine. In my opinion, I do think they should mention it, but not without heavily researching beforeβas it is obvious they are uneducated on this matter. Perhaps they will do so on the next podcast. However, many people (in this subreddit) are literally mad, because of their silence and past statements made on the situation; I find this to be a bit ridiculous.
At the end of the day, Ethan and Hila are just podcasters (the latter being a designer too, I know). I do not think what they say about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict will add much to the conversation. No one watches the H3 Podcast for political information. Sure, they may spread the word, but how much more coverage will they add when every significant news outlet is covering the story? This is reflective in the subreddit (as most ppl already seem aware of the problem).
For those of you who have never heard of this game, I will leave some links about it below, including the link to the game, which is free on iOS and Android. And yes, there will be spoilers in this review.
This game is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, one of the most interesting games I have ever played. And let me get one thing straight: it is hard. Like, really hard.
(Note: To skip my gameplay review, the general reaction is under the flag emojis.)
Peacemaker allows you to choose one of two sides: the Israeli Prime Minister or the President of the Palestinian Authority. The game starts out with some disaster which affects your people: if youβre the PA, an Israeli tank barrage destroys civilian homes, leaving many of your citizens dead or wounded. If youβre the Israeli PM, a Palestinian suicide bomber from the Islamic Jihad blows up a Jerusalem bus, also killing and wounding several dozen people.
After this, the game begins.
Letβs start from the Palestinian side.
As the President of the PA, your objective is to gain increased favor from your people as well as the world, and steadily push to become an independent Palestinian state, all while dealing with internal militant organizations like Hamas and Fatah, who occasionally attack Israelis and potentially hurt your progress towards peace and independence. You can choose to do many different actions, from reconstruction to security to political efforts. One of the biggest obstacles as the PA President is your severe lack of funding. You can gain foreign aid and investments from several different sources, from Arab States including Jordan and Egypt to international organizations such as the UN and the EU, even sources such as the US and Israel itself. However, their willingness to cooperate all depends on your international score. Once you get your funding, building your roads or medical institutions or governmental buildings brings your score with your own people up, while negotiations and peaceful steps increase your stance on the world stage. If you lose too much local support, a civil war will break out amongst your people, and the more global support you lose, the longer it will take to become an independent state.
As the Israeli PM, you must balance the security of your nation with helping Palestine become a sovereign nation. Security-wise, you can use defensive measures such as lengthening curfews, increasing checkpoints, and increasing police and IDF patrols, while offensive measures can range f

I'll be honest here, I was surprised by some of the things said here, especially the stuff that goes against the popular narrative on the media. I'm just some Internet stranger but I believe it's always important to get both sides of the argument.
So if it's alright, I just had some questions:
That's more or less my questions. Sorry if I come across as ignorant in any of them. Thanks in advance for any replies.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is getting to be one of the longest conflicts in the world today. While thankfully it remains fairly bloodless, the status quo is instead a humanitarian disaster for the Palestinian people, and a tenuous position for Israel on the international stage.
The conflict has a long history and is extremely complex, with religious, nationalistic, territorial, ethnic, and geopolitical dimensions. However, it is also interesting because for a long time most people agreed what the eventual solution should be: 2 state solution, one state for Israel, one for Palestine, with the borders at least somewhat resembling the 1967 borders. While other solutions have been floated, including the left wing one person one vote solution and the right-wing letβs just annex the West Bank solution, both seem unlikely. The first because that would mean that Israel would no longer be a majority Jewish state which almost all Israelis would reject, and the second because the Palestinians would be under Israeli control (likely without voting rights) which they would almost certainly reject (understandably).
Polling of Israelis and Palestinians shows that support for the 2 state solution has been falling over the past few decades. In fact, recent polling of Palestinians shows that they are become significantly more radical in their demands, with 2/3s now supporting Palestinian sovereignty βfrom the river to the seaβ, up from 30% just 4 years ago. Israelis are also becoming more radical, with half supporting annexation of the West Bank.
So why have we gotten further and further from peace as time goes on? My belief is that it is due to the perverse incentives present to the leaders of the two sides of the conflict. I will break this up into Israeli and Palestinian incentives:
Israeli leadership incentives

Palestinians have been targets long before 2021, 2014, 1967, etc. This started when Zionists perpetuated ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians to further their agenda before 1948 and has continued into present day. Tell the βboth sidesβ bullshit to my dead grandfather who was kicked out, not βevictedβ, but forcibly removed from his home with his family from Jaffa at 6 years old and left homeless, only to become a refugee in the Gaza Strip. Tell that to my parents who had to flee the Gaza Strip because they saw no opportunity for themselves under Apartheid rule. For all the people saying βboth sidesβ need to come to a resolution, ask yourselves how you would feel about someone knocking on your door and tell you to get the fuck out or be forced out. Iβm sick of people saying, βOh poor boy lost his father. I hope heβs not radicalized.β The US government likes to perpetuate this idea that Israel has a right to defend itself, but when the narrative about Palestinian resistance against apartheid rule comes up, Palestinians are βmilitantsβ and βradicalsβ. Iβm sick of these racist narratives that perpetuate false equivalencies. Feel free to comment, but do more research on the topic before hand. This is not βtit for tatβ. This is a Zionist movement to eradicate the Palestinian people by means of genocide.
