A list of puns related to "Integrated Electrical Services"
I am a soon-to-be electrical engineering graduate with some experience with IC design from some undergrad research. I am looking to improve my skills in that domain.
Most of the resources on IC design seem to be paid software and there doesn't seem to be much information out there on what it entails to be an IC design engineer.
Will a focus on computer hardware and architecture improve my chances? Or should I focus solely on electronics and signal processing, as I have done some courses on these and have a basic idea of what it entails?
Looking forward to reading your suggestions. I will appreciate any feedback.
Note: I did some research on wireless low power sensor IC and I have some internship experience at a train company.
I'm using the Mazda Connected Services integration to integrate my Mazda MX-30. It works, except for the fact that the integration does not seem to recognize my car as an EV. Fuel is always 0.0%. Also I don't see services to set and enable HVAC; it seems like they are even missing from the integration. Might be something to add a PR/MR for. So basically everything that requires the car to be recognized as EV is not available. Also it seems like I cannot lock/unlock my car by means of the service, always get an error message asking me to try again later. Despite the error message it seems like it has worked one time, but I cannot determine why.
I suppose there are still a few known issues regarding the integration and the MX-30? Has anyone got some details for me, maybe workarounds? Tips, hints, advice, tricks? That'd be really cool.
Might be that it's an older version of the integration that I'm running. Currently updating HA from 2021.12.8 to 2021.12.10. The pull request that integrates EV features was merged only 7 days ago.
Update to 2021.12.8 did not change anything
It's going to be part of 2022.2. Source: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/mazda-connected-service/354221/14
Have to be patient then. Or is there a good way to go bleeding edge manually with just one of the integrations?
I'm still somewhat new to the area (near New Paltz) and while I love it for the most part, it's been so frustrating finding reliable repair services. As a result I've learned to DIY with most things, but plumbing and electricity are two things I'm hesitant to mess with. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've been trying to get an electrician here for 6 months, and while I know everyone is super busy, I've had multiple electricians flake on confirmed appointments. Now, just today, I've had a plumbing appointment pushed back -- the morning of the appointment -- for the third time.
I know I'm being hyperbolic out of frustration, but this has become the bane of my existence here. For the love of god ... can anyone recommend reliable plumbing and electrical help? Someone or someplace that's not going to tell me they have an opening in three months. That's actually going to show up when they say they will. They fix my shit when I need it fixed, I give them money, as simple as that. I would be eternally grateful to have someplace or someone reliable like that, even if it's just an experienced handyman. Thanks in advance!
I just bought my first house and since I moved my neighbor had been cutting down a tree right on our fence. She asked me last week about shutting my electric service off for a few hours so they could drop the limb hanging on my property. I was fine with that, and I was in the process of going through the proper channels to do it.
Well, I left my wallet at my house this morning and when I came home, there were two men scrambling down the ladder and back onto her property. I threw their ladder onto her property and told them to fuck off. They got in their truck and left pretty fast. I don't have any pictures or anything of them up there. I called the service provider and the customer support lady seemed disinterested. My town doesn't have a PD so I have to go to the county sheriff's office after work. I live in Illinois.
I have reason to believe they were up there yesterday too. Besides trespassing was there anything illegal done? Should I waste my time going to a police station? Do I have to legally help her getting the tree down(cutting my power)?
In the 21st century, the capacity of Australia to provide a high quality of life for its citizens will depend on the ability to compete in the global economy on education and innovation .
I'm an electrical engineer that is providing electrical design for several small-medium commercial kitchens. I am not designing the kitchen, not selecting equipment, or laying it out. All of that is done by a fancy design studio. The kitchen is all electric, will be open, and very high end.
Where I get input and flexibility is placing things like countertop receptacles at worktables, floor mounted receptacles, etc. Or things like is it better to have a quad receptacle or two duplex receptacles spaced a little apart?
Are there any things that would be nice to have about the kitchen electrical system that you've seen or wish you had?
Background: I work for a business that runs a small to medium-sized data center. We specialize in video streaming and video transport (we run 24/7 channels for customers). Because of this we have a wide variety of network and AV equipment in the racks. We have 12 full racks of equipment running a hodgepodge of UPSs. The racks were built out as the company grew and has led to a patchwork of different vendor equipment and incompatible systems.
Issue: Because we cannot monitor all of our UPSs (some don't have any management interface), we can never pinpoint when we have brief power hits.
***We are currently monitoring the power outage through a Phillips hue bulb. If the power drops, the bulb loses its set color and returns to the default white. No joke...
Question: Does anyone have any suggestion for monitoring the utility electrical service that comes into the building. I have seen some residential monitors that clamp around the main service cable and connect to home automation systems. I would prefer something more robust that can send alerts.
EDIT: To clarify, all racks are currently on UPS systems, but they are not all the same and some are on their last legs. Our current solution is a bandaid, until we get a new permit finally approved for a perm. power soluton. We have a large APC UPS (2 Racks) that will be energized once this is approved.
Lmfaooo Karen did it ever occur to you that at damn near 7pm there may not be an electrical associate on the clock?! Because there wasnβt. Go ahead and tell the poor innocent cashier how much her service sucks when you didnβt even bother to get your lazy ass up to the front and tell someone you needed help. You sure could press that call for assistance button 8675309 times though.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good plumber and electrician in the Torrance area ? I need help to fix some wiring and install a plumbing line for a refrigerator.
