PS: NICE is the body that puts together recommended treatment and diagnostic pathways for all healthcare providers in the UK and Northern Ireland.
These are the two options I am currently weighing. Although I would love to be fully independent and carve out my own path, the insurance process is a barrier. Not only does the process seem daunting to me but I feel uneasy at the idea of eschewing it, like I'm not doing my due diligence or putting my best foot forward. Simultaneously since one of the biggest draws for me to work independently is having more freedom over who I do and don't work with, I hesitate to consider joining an employer... especially since it seems few private practices employ therapists as w2 workers, so what even is the benefit without insurance and a guaranteed salary? I worry about losing autonomy over fit and the trade off simply not being worth it.
How difficult is it to build a caseload of 15-20 clients without taking insurance?
Conversely, how easy/difficult is it from your experience to find agencies and clinics that are fully salaried with benefits?
Is there a third option I'm overlooking?
I got job offer and accepted a job. Now im doing all credentialing but theyre asking ne to put 5 references again? I already did that when i applied there and i was wondering why i have to do it again if i already got a job is this normal?
