A list of puns related to "Ingegerd Olofsdotter of Sweden"
Hello. I am interested in Swedish medieval history and I got some very helpful responses when I asked if anyone here knew books or articles on the province of Ingermanland in the 17th century.
Now I would like to ask if anyone knows any good online resources/books on the subject of Princess Ingegerd, who married Yaroslav the Wise of Kievan Rus in 1019, but was actually really in love with King Olaf II of Norway (who visited her there). I find her life fascinating, but have found very few sources on her outside the sagas (the Russian sources hardly mention her).
Have any books or articles been written about her in Swedish? Maybe a chapter in another book? Best of all are resources in electronic form, as it is easier to use a translation machine to get to the information I find interesting, then go into more detail separately.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Hello everyone, hope you all have a good start to 2022!
Can someone compare the pros and cons of living in Germany vs Sweden?
I have job offers from Sweden and Germany with similar benefits packages, so I am trying to gauge the pros and cons of living in both countries. (I'm considering Cologne area)
I have asked the same question in the Swedish subreddit and would love to hear from the Germany side.
Gym, healthcare, dating( nightlife, sports clubs, dating apps, how to get to know people without dating apps) housing, having quick access to travel to the whole EU, working culture such as paid leaves, food, divorce issues, education for my future kids,
Feel free to let me know if anything comes to mind!
Thanks
I've a "Degree pf Bachelor of Science with a major in Informatics 180 credits" from HΓΆgskolan i SkΓΆvde with the education focused on programming in game development. I've also completed a bunch of college courses and have about 300 college credits and is now finishing a one year long polytechnical in software development as it was hard to get a job due to the pandemic and I needed to do something.
My current plan is to find a job and maybe work on an master or another bachelor on distance. I also have a plan to search for jobs in USA that can sponsor a h1b1 visa, which if I'm lucky could lead to a green card and eventually citizenship.
A big reason to move to USA is the wages seems to be far superior to what I'd earn in Sweden, like 2-3 times better and as I've no medical problems (except perhaps depression), no plans to create a family and no major debt issues, my living standard would probably be much higher in USA than in Sweden.
There is also other reasons for me to want to move to USA, such as to prove myself that I can live on my own in another country that seems quite different from Sweden/EU, different and probably more choices in climate and locations to live in and probably many other reasons.
So is it a good idea for me to try to move to USA, I don't know if it is possible or I'll ever get a chance to move to USA, or is I just naive and overlooking things that I'd not?
A lot of people in Sweden are now worried Russia are planning an invasion of βGotlandβ due to its strategic placement in the baltic sea!
Personally I think itβs bullshit, but the Swedish media are saying thereβs a high chance of war! What do you guys think!? Peace βοΈ

(edit) I made it! π₯³ Thank you everyone for your support. I can't describe how helpful were your words of encouragement and the sharing of your own experiences.
Last week, the Swedish government gave the public health authorities (FolkhΓ€lsomyndigheten, FHM) the power to introduce far-reaching restrictions, including a vaccine mandate for restaurants and shops. I shared the news here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LockdownSkepticism/comments/rwsjs5/sweden_green_light_for_vaccine_certificates_in/
Today, FHM came forward with new restrictions. They are by far not as bad as what they could do. Vaccine passports are extended, but only to events of more than 50 persons. Unvaccinated people can still go to shops, restaurants etc. Aside from the vaccine requirement for events, the rules are similar to last winter: Public gatherings are limited to 20 people, groups in restaurants, pubs etc. are limited to 8 people and they have to close at 11 PM. Don't ask my how closing bars a little earlier is supposed to slow the spread, but I guess it's symbolic.
Here's the link to FHM's website: https://www.folkhalsomyndigheten.se/nyheter-och-press/nyhetsarkiv/2022/januari/fler-atgarder-infors-mot-den-okade-smittspridningen-av-covid-19/

More measures are being introduced to tackle the increased spread of covid-19
Published 10 January 2022
The spread of infection in the country is increasing rapidly and the situation in the health sector is very strained. Serious illness has risen sharply among the unvaccinated. Even vaccinated people now have less protection against infection due to omicron, although protection against serious disease remains very good. To reduce the burden on health services, more temporary measures are being introduced, including for restaurants, public gatherings and public events.
After the Christmas and New Year holidays, the spread of infection in Sweden has increased sharply, and now exceeds the Public Health Agency's scenario 2 in terms of the number of reported cases. With the new virus variant omicron dominating the spread of infection, the vaccine protection against infection after two doses is significantly lower than against previous virus variants. However, protection against severe illness and death remains very good, regardless of the virus variant.
Statistics show that severe disease is increasing sharply among unvaccinated people, both in intensive care and in inpatient settings, but remains low among vaccinated people. The number of ICU admissions per 100 000 population is 12 times higher among unvaccinated than among vaccinated persons. More people need to be vaccinate
