A list of puns related to "In Flames discography"
Im thinking that JACKBOYS was short and kinda rushed because Travis had to drop something and also he was touring for most of 2019 as well.
This is because he's dropped at least 1 project every year since 2013, and is planning to stick to that.
So I'm thinking that he has something big coming in 2020, and it may be another pack of jackboys probably but we all know we need another solo project.
what yall think his next project gonna be called tho?
Obviously there are artists which have their debut as their greatest work (Guns N' Roses, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan) but for the majority of the music it isn't the case. I personally prefer to listen in chronological order, even if it means to listen to some mediocre stuff too. In my opinion in that way you could see the artist evolve and grow artistically in different directions, especially more experimental acts like Radiohead, Autechre, Swans, Bjork, David Bowie. Probably it isn't the same with more straightforward bands but i guess any album is worth a listen. What's your opinion? Do you think there are artists/bands discographies that are better to listen in chronological order?
For me itβs gotta be Apocalypse Dreams->Mind Mischief->Music To Walk Home By
What does everyone think?
I would love Pitchfork to take a dive into Britneyβs discography, considering a lot of her 2000s work got shoved aside to talk about her personal life.
Furthermore, I would love Pitchfork to cover Lady Gagaβs whole discography, especially to hear the critical consensus around her most controversial works - Born This Way, ARTPOP - now that the dust has settled.
Happy 2020 everybody!!! In preparation for the Essentials of 2019 List, Im looking to fill in the wiki discography with your favorite albums that are missing from it and I would appreciate your suggestions to add to the wiki. Thanks!
Many critics and fans were eager to point out that My Dear Melancholy felt like a return to form for Abel, sonically speaking, with some even saying that it felt like a good follow-up to Trilogy because of its depressing themes.
Well, as we all know by now, Abel doesnβt do any of this by accident. He intentionally threw the next albumβs title in our faces on his IG story back in December, and no one saw it coming. MDM even uses a similar font if not the EXACT SAME ONE used for Trilogy.
This leads to the theory in question: could After Hours be a spiritual successor to Kiss Land the way that MDM was to Trilogy? Think about it. MDM may not have been as depressing as Trilogy, not even close, but both records were written during times where Abel was down on his luck. Homelessness in the Trilogy era and life without Selena Gomez in the MDM era.
And now we have After Hours, which has a visually appealing aesthetic akin to Kiss Land. Couple that with the fact that Abel clearly states that heβs back to his old ways in βHeartless,β and it should be a big indicator that thereβs a cycle going on here.
To sum it up, Abelβs next few records will essentially be spiritual successors to Chapters I-IV. The cycle has four phases, and they go as follows:
Trilogy phase = MDM
Kiss Land phase = After Hours
BBTM phase = ???
Starboy phase = ???
This way, new and old fans alike will continue to be invested in Abelβs musical endeavors, as these βunofficial sequelβ albums (as I like to call them) will still be different from their predecessors in terms of sound in order to deviate from them and avoid the whole βthey sound too similarβ debacle.
What do yβall think? Sound off in the comments.
Hi! One of my favorite things about Love Live is the music, and I was wondering what you all thought were some of the most underrated songs?
ΞΌ's
Mogyutto βloveβ de Sekkin Chu! - One of my favorite LL songs, I think itβs adorable! Honokaβs solo in the end is so pretty and I love the tune of the chorus
Shangri-la Shower - One of the lesser known ΞΌ's songs, itβs got a catchy beat and always makes me feel happy haha
Paradise Live - Itβs not the most unique song but I find it to be really catchy and the lyrics are sweet.
Aqours
Miracle Wave - My Mai Tonight is the coupling single for this song, so it feels a little overshadowed (MMT is still a great song though!) but when people talk about Miracle Wave they only really talk about the dance, rightfully so though as Anchan was amazing! The song has such an uplifting chorus and never fails to put a smile on my face
Tousou Meisou Mobius Loop - Aqoursβ Hello Hoshi o Kazoete is one of my favorite in their discography, all of the third years and especially Mari shines here!
Natsu e no Tobira Never end ver. - Super fun and cute, this unexpected trio work really well together! Can we also take a minute to appreciate Ainyaβs rap skills lmao
Genki Zenkai DAY! DAY! DAY! - I can understand where all of the distaste towards this song comes from, and I agree that the start of the second verse wasnβt the greatest idea the LL staff have had, but this song is so catchy and upbeat itβs easy to ignore that. The βya yaβ section at the beginning is something I could listen to all day haha, definitely a song Iβd love to see live
I donβt think thereβs been enough songs amongst NijiGaku yet to decide which are underrated and overrated, so maybe sometime in the future I can make this thread again lol, thank you for reading and Iβd love to hear your opinions!
I disliked Silent Planet at first...
I've now listened to everything they have to offer and they are now easily embedded in my top 10, I love them. I also have a new found appreciation for Garrett as a vocalist and a lyricist. He's a fucking monster.
Similarly if you've listened to Silent Planet or other artists/bands and were turned off due to personal preferences on instrumentals or vocalists, do yourself and favor and take the time.
Would love to hear if any of you have had similar experiences.
For example, you could go three in a row from one album (Strength of the World, Betrayed, M.I.A. from City of Evil), or crossover from one album into the next (A Little Piece of Heaven, Dear God, Nightmare). Only rule is three tracks in a row, chronologically. What would your 3-in-a-Row list be?
So for spring break we took a 13 hour drive from New Jersey to South Carolina and I realized I really havenβt heard that many Kanye songs despite being in the sub. So I decided to listen to to his discography starting from The College Dropout.
I now understand why this is the #1 sub for a musician.
For example, my favorite is When the Sun Goes Down, From the Ritz to the Rubble, A Certain Romance from WPSIATWIN

Itβs been about 10 days since my original post. As predicted, Gojira has been on pretty much non stop since then. Just wanted to list some of my favorites so far:
Terra Incognita: Clone, Lizard Skin, Deliverance
The Link: Death of Me, Remembrance, Indians
From Mars to Sirius: the consecutive threesome of Where Dragons Dwell/The Heaviest Matter of the Universe/Flying Whales...inject that shit right into my veins
The Way of All Flesh: Toxic Garbage Island, Vacuity, Esoteric Surgery
LβEnfant Sauvage: Explosia, The Axe, Mouth of Kala
Magma: The Shooting Star, Stranded, Only Pain
I watched a couple of live performances on YouTube as well. I canβt get enough of this band right now. Happy holidays all!
I'm gonna have to go with 925, roll call, 5am.
Fork and Knife might just be my favourite Brand New song.
It has - to my ears at least - a laid back, almost dreamy kind of quality and composition that are quite different to anything else they ever released.
Lyrically it hints at darkness and I've seen different interpretations, but the overall vibe I get is that it seems to be about acceptance. To me the overall tone feels more playful and dare I say it, carefree than their usual subject matter.
Released as a single in 2007, I remember being convinced ahead of the arrival of Daisy two years later that their new album was going to follow a similar artistic direction. And yet after the tortured howl that was Daisy and the more mellow, but still brooding Science Fiction, it still stands alone.
Anyone care to speculate why?
people talk a lot about how red velvet has a βflawlessβ discography. to me, their music is nice, but a lot of their b-sides arenβt the kind i remember and love. itβs the sort of music where i like it and wonβt skip it but also donβt remember it enough to go back and find it and add it to all my top playlists.
red velvetβs music technically doesnβt have flaws in it because so many songs are just good enough to be liked but not super duper memorable. i prefer it when their songs are more, for lack of a better word filled with βpizzazz.β
(and yes, i did like zimzalabim)
The only person I can think of is Michael Jackson in terms of being essentially unparalleled. I'm not saying either is the "best" (though I feel that way about Eminem), but that both reflect such unique outputs that are too different from others in the same genre to really be considered in the same category.
She was waving an illegal fire arm.
The parts the really get you going. An example for me is that part in Serenity Painted Death (the 21/8 part), and the fucking solo in Moon Above, Sun Below. I could go on haha.
No Way Back is absolutely fantastic. The drums are fast and punk-like, the guitars are interesting, and the vocals are passionate and simply heart-wrenching. Really makes me wanna give Dave Grohl a hug.
I recently saw a review of the whole In Your Honor album, and the guy called this track FILLER. Am I the only one who thinks this is ridiculous?
Also their #1 most underrated track is Hey, Jonny Park! don't @ me.
Ex : Pablo Honey - The Bends- Ok Computer, or HTTT- In Rainbows - TKOL.
My favorite album is In Rainbows, but I would keep The Bends - Ok Computer- Kid A.
Fairly new fan of the beloved boy band here. I quickly fell in love with the band after hearing Ginger several months ago (I came from YT recommendations, not TikTok. Props to Sugar charting though). Despite not knowing anything about the band, I absolutely loved the record. Iβve given all of their albums ample time to digest (except for AAT, which I havenβt listened to yet). I thought it would be interesting to share my thoughts/review on the albums in this perspective.
Ginger - At the start, I only thought of this group as a rap collective. Hip-hop has never been my go-to genre, but the opener No Halo quickly grabbed me in as a smooth pop RnB tune. I was a bit partial to some tracks at first but they grew on me as I caught more things in the lyrics or production. Loved the many different flows and lyrics. I was aware of the Ameer Controversy going in, so I was hesitant on moving to the beloved Saturations right after. I checked out Iridescence next just because I assumed it would be what Iβm most comfortable with. After coming back to it with more context at the end of my journey, the songs only hit even harder. I wouldnβt say thereβs a song here I donβt like. Highlight member here is easily Bearface imo. 9/10
Fav 3 Tracks - No Halo, Big Boy, Boy Bye
Iridescence - This album felt so close to home. I absolutely loved the chaotic feel of this record. The context behind it made the record feel even more important. Being a huge Aphex Twin/Radiohead/Death Grips fan, I quickly fell in love with the more bass heavy production of songs like Jouvert and Where The Cash At?. I can understand why this is pretty divisive when compared to the Saturations, but the production and lyrical style is far more in my wheelhouse. Not a single weak track. At this point, Joba, Merlyn, and Dom were my stand out members, but the real kings are the producers. 10/10
Fav Tracks - Where the Cash At, Jouvert, Vivid
Sat 3 - All my fears were pretty much erased upon first play, as the greeting Boogie just felt like a warm welcome. It introduces the members with so much personality while showcasing their experimental side in spades. It almost felt like starting with sat 3 felt right. The record still felt pretty mature and experimental overall, so I didnβt really feel an overwhelming difference between this and Iridescence. Songs like Sister/Nation immediately gave me flashbacks to that record in a good way. I actually welcomed Ameerβs verses pretty
... keep reading on reddit β‘It'd be really cool if someone could send a download link since classic albums like "stillmatic" "untitled" and "i am..." have not been posted to the sub yet
if uzi put these tracks in an EP/mixtape:
Rich Forever
New Patek
Free Uzi
That's A Rack
Sanguine Paradise
Futsal Shuffle 2020
Where would you rank it in his discography? (LIR2, LIR1.5, TPLT, 1017VTW, LUVVTW, LIR)
