A list of puns related to "Iggy Pop discography"
I wouldn't mind recommendations for other artists, but I just wanted to get into Iggy Pop's music more and found his discography a little intimidating.
My favorite is Green Day
Currently listening to State Champs
Edit: Now listening to Chunk! No Captain Chunk!
Edit: Now listening to The Wonder Years
Here are some recent bands that I've listened to (in case you were curious):

The Academy Is...
Something Corporate
The Starting Line

P.S. I will take band suggestions to add to my list!
As the title says, I'm selling some of my grails to try to get out of debt. First come, first served. All payments must be made within an hour of an agreement to purchase or else they can be sold to someone else. All records are in heavy-duty plastic outer sleeves and the records are stored in antistatic sleeves. Original sleeves will be included, when available.
Buyer pays shipping and handling. Item ships one business day from the purchase date. Returns are accepted within 15 days of the purchase date for a full refund of the purchase price. Shipping and handling cost is nonrefundable.
Google Doc Link to Spreadsheet with details of each record:
My Discogs Page: https://www.discogs.com/user/UnrealKingBuzzo/collection
U.S. (media mail) with tracking = $6.00 unlimited for up to 2 LPs and $4.00 unlimited for 45's, CDs, and cassettes.
International shipping prices are based on USPS weights and are subject to change.
If you are ordering from outside the U.S. please contact me first for correct shipping fees. DO NOT PAY INVOICE until I can verify pricing.
Discogs have created automatic shipping fees that are wildly inaccurate. Pricing on shipping any box sets will have to be discussed, as it costs way more than standard records (it's wicked heavy).
So I've been listening to a bit of Iggy Pop's BBC radio show lately while I WFH and it's really surprising the number of Melbourne bands he plays. Like two or three every show. And it's not big names like Nick Cave either, newer stuff like Amyl and the Sniffers, Tropical Fuck Storm, Courtney Barnett, Sampa the Great, Goon Sax (ok they're from Brissy but still)... it really stands out. Does anybody know what's up with that? Is one of his producers from Melbourne or something?
I have added a ton. Good stuff. Sealed stuff.
I believe most are opened with shrink still on. Some are sealed. None have been played more than once. Unless noted. All are like new condition. I hate to say near mint. High bar. So like new. )
Shipping is flat 4$ in USA I will move some on prices depending on what your interested.

... keep reading on reddit β‘yes, i am being 100% serious. their discography is absolute pop perfection in my opinion. when you compile all of their korean, japanese, plus solo songs, their catalogue is LOOOOONG and i mean, it's legit more than 20 hours long i think. but i ADORE 99% of it. bop after bop after bop. this has never happened to me before with any kpop artist. for most of them there's at least a good chunk of songs which are just "meh :/". with SHINee there's like 4 or 5 songs I don't like very much and that's nothing considering they have 500+ songs in total.
don't even get me started on how The Misconceptions of Us is a masterpiece deserving of worldwide recognition and multiple grammys...
Obviously there are K-pop groups that have really good discographies, but a great majority of artists within K-pop have material that lacks any decent amount of experimentation and has little variance from one album to the next in comparison to artists in other genres. Obviously the need for groups to make money takes precedent over making great music, and companies are so hyper focused on a groupβs image that they keep a formula in place and just recycle it.
And even then the best discographies in K-pop feel more very good than great to me - more like a masterful execution of the collective elements of the genre rather than the creation of something truly groundbreaking. I feel this is a major reason why many people - myself included - lose interest in the genre and go towards something else that feels more soulful and truly unique to the character of the artist. I look forward to the day where an idol creates the Korean equivalent of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy or Melodrama or 22, A Million or the Saturation tapes; something that is truly unique to said artist and transcends language barriers to become a classic music enjoyers of all backgrounds can marvel at the production and composition of.
Itβs been a while since i first heard this song but despite listening to music quite a lot never have i stumbled upon something with similar vibes and quality. So here i come to you fellow Redditors. It can be any genre and any language i just want to feel the same as when im listening to passenger
One of the biggest reasons I consider myself a multi is because there exists not even one group or soloist who releases songs that I'll love every comeback. I kinda just stream songs from multiple groups and pick out what I like. I consider myself a fan of any group/soloist I consistently listen to, but everyone falls into a 70%-80% or less like rate. I did use to like 90%+ of what one gg produced, but to be fair, they didn't have a lot of songs before, and in recent years, I haven't really been feeling them, so now they're included in that β€ 80% group.
This like rate is generally true for me with both K-pop and with western artists. I can only think of one western artist who might meet the 90% threshold.
I thought I'd find someone who felt the same as me on a post that inspired this post, but it looks like I might be the odd one out or at least part of a very small minority. Unless more people here agree with me???
In my opinion itβs BTS.
These 5 are the perfect representation of what songs I want for this Spotify playlist I'm working on. I want songs that can perfectly accompany both a fast, action-paced, and adrenaline-producing blitz; or a gritty, hard, and roughhouse brawl, hence the playlist name. Just check the playlist, see the songs I currently have there, and see what other songs can go with it. Thanks!
Iβm looking for songs that sound like Iggy Popβs βThe Passengerβ. Other than all its mainstream covers (e.g. Siouxsie and the Banshees), Iβve found βHolidayβ by Green Day, βBeerβ by Reel Big Fish, and βThis Coldβ by John Frusciante. I just love the vibes of βThe Passengerβ and was wondering if you guys knew of similar-sounding songs. Thanks!
Title Question. I love the soundtrack.
Hi ! Does someone know what gonna be the line up in the forthcoming « Free » tour ? Is there any chance to have some members of the QOTSA in ? Especially in France⦠Thanx !
