If you want to know why you were ignored by your bank, let's do some math.

Lenders were compensated for writing your loans. Look at the massive commissions they're making. It's no wonder they ignored those little $10k and $25k loans when the same amount of work is done in order to process a $10mil loan.

Taken from the treasury.gov fact sheet

> How will lenders be compensated? Processing fees will be based on the balance of the > financing outstanding at the time of final disbursement. SBA will pay lenders fees for > processing PPP loans in the following amounts: > > * Five (5) percent for loans of not more than $350,000; > * Three (3) percent for loans of more than $350,000 and less than $2,000,000; and > * One (1) percent for loans of at least $2,000,000. > > Lenders may not collect any fees from the applicant.

If a bank can process a loan at the $2mil amount they would capture $20,000 in commissions! So the people who you might think are on your side, helping you navigate all this could make a lot of money.

Now for the numbers. Let's say Blells Wargo Bank processes 50 loans above the $2mil amount AT A MINIMUM that would rake them in over $1,000,000 in compensation.

If they are smart they would process those loans below the $2mil threshold. Let’s say $1.5mil. 50 x $1.5 x 3% comes to $2,250,000 in commission! A single application would bring them $45,000! There’s a small business stimulus loan right there!

To compare let’s pretend they process 50 loans at $50k. That would get them a measly $125,000.

One should also mention that a majority of the funds were used to fund the >$350 - $1M amount bracket almost DOUBLING the <$150k bracket. Source I don’t know about you but my payroll for 8 weeks is NOT that high. These are not small businesses who got these loans. I would like to see how many loans BELOW $100k or $50k were funded. I would bet very few. I would love to be wrong though.

Now can you see why the big banks went after the big companies to get these commissions? The way this was set up - encourages bigger loans! The small guys/gals didn't stand a chance.

This will go down in history as one of the greatest disasters and disservices ever done to small businesses.

TL;DR - Your bank makes a big commission off your loan. The bigger the loan amount the more they make.

Introduction:

Hello all. This post is inspired by u/PriagDE's post found here which tried to answer whether Riot buffs champions which will get a new skin. It is a separate post as it has a completely different method and covers a wider array of questions.

To me as a person, I'm a data scientist working in the retail business with a low number of projects at the time so I used this opportunity to train a little my webscraping skills. I post the results here as I find them interesting and hope you do too.

You can find all the data, scripts and figures here if you want to use the data for your own analysis or scrape something else from the patch notes.

Webscraping of data from leagueofgraphs and the official patch notes

The first part I needed to do was gather data. To decide whether a champion got buffed when he gets a new skin, I will take the difference between the winrate 20 days before and 20 days after the patch got released. The 20 days are chosen in order to let the winrate settle a bit after patch changes.

This means I need to gather the patch notes history as well as the winrate of all champions. As mentioned by u/PriagDE, upcoming skins were only included from patch 4.8 on, so I gathered the patch notes starting from 4.8. This matches nicely the available history on the winrate on leagueofgraphs which starts at the moment approximately at the beginning of season 4. The script which I made to do so is this: lol_skins_winrate.py. Feel free to use it if you want to do something else with it. It is by no means optimized, but works also behind a proxy. You will need to get a copy of geckodriver to use Firefox as is done in the script.

I also collected the data on popularity and banrate if someone is interested

A Plea to those who love Tulsi like I do - if you want her to be President some day, vote for Bernie NOW

In addition to my large monthly contribution to Bernie, I’ve been giving a smaller monthly amount to Tulsi. This electoral season has given Tulsi a chance to become known to the American people and spread her crucial “no-more-war” message, a message that Is complementary to Bernie’s typical emphasis on domestic issues. I’ve been pleased when Tulsi has done relatively well in polls, because that increased her chances to be included in debates.

Anyone who is inspired by Bernie should appreciate Tulsi – she literally put her career on the line when she resigned from her position as Vice Chairperson of the DNC to throw her support behind Bernie. And, when Hillary’s people viciously blocked Nina from speaking at the 2016 convention, Tulsi delivered a compelling speech nominating Bernie. The moral courage that Tulsi has displayed over the past few years puts me in mind of the moral courage that Bernie has demonstrated over his whole career.

But, now that it’s time to vote in the primaries, I want to drive home the point that the most effective way to insure that Tulsi has a bright career that might ultimately take her to the Presidency is to insure that Bernie is our nominee – and elected President – in 2016. At this point, there is really no chance that Tulsi is going to be the nominee this time. So giving her your vote in the primaries will be little more than an ineffectual statement. Whereas, if you vote for Bernie and help insure his nomination, I think you can be reasonably confident that there will be a prominent role for Tulsi in Bernie’s administration – a role that will give her political prominence and a chance to display her outstanding abilities. Perhaps Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, or even Vice President. Tulsi is only 38, and can take her time to grow into her full stature with the American public.

Since I have been posting many essays and comments laudatory of Tulsi here, I think it is incumbent on me to make my position on this clear, in case anyone might be confused.
